Charli XCX married the 1975 drummer and producer George Daniel at a Hackney Town Hall ceremony in London on Saturday, PEOPLE reported. Among the attendees were the "360" singer's parents and Daniel's bandmates Adam Hahn and Ross MacDonald, per PEOPLE. 1975 frontman Matty Healy was not in attendance. Charli, whose real name is Charlotte Aitchison, went public about her relationship with Daniel in 2022. She then announced her engagement to the musician in 2023. Charli and Daniel have a long history of musical partnership. They first collaborated on No Rome's 2021 single "Spinning," which featured both Charli and the 1975. Daniel later produced "Crash," "Selfish Girl," and "How Can I Not Know What I Need Right Now" from Charli's 2022 album, Crash, and worked with her on the soundtrack to the 2023 comedy Bottoms. The 1975 multi-instrumentalist also had a prominent presence on Charli's acclaimed 2024 album, Brat, producing the tracks "Club Classics" and "Apple," the former of which name-drops him in the line "I wanna dance with George" and features the back of his head on the art for its single release. Daniel also gets a shout-out on the song "Sympathy Is a Knife" with the line "George says I'm just paranoid." Charli revealed that the song "Talk Talk" is about a flirtatious moment between her and Daniel at the 2020 NME Awards. "We were both sort of sat on different tables, and we were texting each other, but we weren't hanging out," she explained in a TikTok. "But we were both looking over at each other. It was very, like, one of us would look, the other one would look away, and then vice versa." In "Talk Talk," Charli sings, "I followed you to the bathroom / But then I felt crazy," which actually happened at the NME Awards. "I saw that he went to the bathroom, so I was like, 'Oh, I'll go to the bathroom, and maybe we'll bump into each other and we won't be texting all the time,'" the musician recalled. "But then I got halfway there and was like, 'This is insane.'" The Brat track "I Think About It All the Time" chronicles the singer's complicated feelings about the possibility of having a child with Daniel. "It's kind of talking about feeling kinda existential about that and wondering, 'If I don't have a child, will I miss out on this facet of life, or actually is that just a societal pressure?'" she explained in another also contributed backing vocals to the Japanese House's reinterpretation of "Apple," which he also produced, from Charli's Brat remix album, Brat and It's Completely Different but Also Still Brat. "When i hear his voice i cryyyyyy i love him so muchhhhhhhhh," Charli tweeted about the track. Daniel also worked on the remix of "I Might Say Something Stupid," from the same album, with the rest of the 1975. Read the original article on Entertainment Weekly Solve the daily Crossword

Prolific Procreator Elon Musk Announces AI App for Kids

Elon Musk announced in a late-night X post that he intends to launch a 'kid-friendly' version of his artificial intelligence chatbot Grok, which he has dubbed 'Baby Grok.' The announcement comes after months of shenanigans from Grok, including a fixation on 'white genocide' in South Africa, praise for Adolf Hitler, and several posts where the chatbot referred to itself as 'MechaHitler.' Grok's current content guidelines state that the chatbot avoids 'generating or engaging with explicit, adult, or inappropriate material,' but users regularly swap tips on how to circumvent these restrictions. Despite considerable bad press, Musk is working overtime to bolster Grok's standing among the competition, which includes OpenAI's ChatGPT, Google's Gemini, and Anthropic's Claude. These efforts include the introduction of AI-generated companions earlier this week, including a pornographic anime girl avatar named Ani. Users can toggle between NSFW and Kid Mode when interacting with Musk's companions, but users found that changing those settings had little effect. Critics have expressed concerns about the impact AI chatbots could have on children. An advisory from Australia's eSafety Commissioner argues that without safeguards, AI companions can expose children to dangerous concepts, leave them dependent on AI for companionship and socially withdrawn, result in them developing unhealthy attitudes toward relationships, put them at heightened risk of sexual abuse as a result of exposure to sexualized conversations, compound the risk of bullying, and put them at risk of financial exploitation. One Florida mother filed a lawsuit against a company that specializes in AI chatbots based on fictional characters, after her 14-year-old son became obsessed with a chatbot inspired by Daenerys Targaryen, a character from Game of Thrones, and died by suicide. Her son fell in love with the chatbot, becoming increasingly withdrawn from his real life as he began to spend the bulk of his time conversing with the bot. After sharing his thoughts of suicide with the bot, telling it, 'Maybe we can die together and be free together,' he took his own life. Earlier this week, Musk—a father of 14 known children—released Grok 4 without industry-standard safety reports that detail an AI model's capabilities, limitations and potential dangers. Musk also announced two new 'Grok for Government' partnerships with the General Services Administration and the Department of Defense. Solve the daily Crossword

Charli XCX stuns in mini dress for Hackney Town Hall wedding to The 1975's George Daniel

Charli XCX married The 1975's George Daniel in an understated ceremony at Hackney Town Hall on Saturday. The singer, 32, whose real name is Charlotte Emma Aitchison, tied the knot in a Vivienne Westwood-style mini dress with a traditional veil, Jimmy Choo heels, and her signature sunnies. Charli xcx & George Daniel's wedding at Hackney Town Hall in London. — xcxshake (@xcxshake) July 19, 2025 Charli married George Daniel, drummer and producer of The 1975, two years after announcing their engagement in 2023. The pair have been together for several years and have collaborated multiple times, including on her record-breaking album Brat, which smashed the charts last summer. George donned a dark double-breasted suit for the ceremony, over a light open collared shirt with a flower, which matched his wife's white bouquet. The pair said I Do at an intimate ceremony at Hackney Town Hall, surrounded by 20 of their loved ones - although 1975 frontman Matty Healy was noticeably absent. Matty, 36, reportedly flew out for a friend's stag do in Ibiza on Tuesday, according to The Sun. Charli xcx's wedding venue is on the same street as the London BRAT 'forever <3' wall 💚👰🏻‍♀️ — xcx source (@xcxsource) July 19, 2025 The pop icon's wedding ring has reportedly been valued at a relatively modest £10K, despite the couple's alleged £10M fortune. The wedding band matches the singer's engagement ring, which is worth £15K. Laura Taylor from Lorel Diomands told MailOnline: 'Charli's wedding band is where she's really made it her own. Rather than going for a traditional band to sit next to the solitaire, or even an eternity band like we're seeing with other celebrities, she's chosen something much bolder. 'It's chunky and very different to the delicate bands you usually see paired with solitaires. We are starting to see more celebrities choosing bold rings this year, like Dua Lipa and her chunky engagement ring. 'I'd estimate Charli's wedding band to be worth around £8,000 to £10,000, depending on the designer. 'The choice fits perfectly with the rest of her wedding look, as she wore a short white dress and sunglasses to her ceremony, skipping the usual formal bridal style. By pairing a classic engagement ring with a heavier, statement wedding band, Charli's showing you don't have to follow the usual rules. It's a really good example of how you can incorporate your own personal style.' The understated wedding ceremony comes after reports that the pop duo were planning a luxurious wedding in Sicily later this year, after officially tying the knot in London. A source told the Mail: 'George has been busy this summer, but his mates were determined to take him on a stag do. 'He flew to Ibiza for a couple of days for a raucous knees-up with his closest pals – including his bandmates – and party girl Charli was all for it.'' According to The Sun, the wedding spares no expense and the ceremony is estimated to cost close to six figures. A source close to the couple revealed: 'Charli and George fell in love with Sicily and knew they wanted to get married there. 'It's incredibly secluded and romantic. There will be no expense spared.; it's costing tens of thousands of pounds and visually it will be mesmerising.' The couple allegedly want a 'massive party' with a bar that is open all night long. Charli told Harper's Bazaar earlier this year: 'We're both very chill and we kind of just want to have a party. 'Neither of us are particularly formal about marriage or care about the formalities of the ceremony or whatever. 'We just want to be together forever and have a party with our friends.' The star took to Instagram last November to announce her engagement, writing: 'charli xcx and george f***ing for life!' Her record label shared their well wishes to the couple back in 2023, writing: 'Major congratulations to @charli_xcx and George Daniel on their engagement.' Celebrity friends quickly piled in with their support, 1975 frontman Matty Healy wrote: 'I cry.' Singer and recently engaged friend Dua Lipa added: 'aaaaaaahhhhh!!!!!!!!! LOVE THIS!!! Congratulations lovebirds!!!!!' And Rita Ora said: 'How did I just know this was gona happen. Yesssss'
