Shilpa Medicare gains as unit VI gets USFDA EIR with VAI classification

Shilpa Medicare added 2.94% to Rs 920.70 after the company announced that its Unit VI facility in Dabaspet, Bengaluru, Karnataka, has received EIR with VAI (Voluntary Action Indicated) classification from USFDA, for the GMP inspection.
The good manufacturing practice (GMP) inspection was conducted from 24 October 2024 to 30 October 2024.
This facility is capable of manufacturing, packaging, testing, storage and distribution of two types of complex dosage forms - oral dissolving films and transdermal systems.
The Unit is already approved by EMA, Europe; MHRA, UK; SFDA, Saudi and TGA, Australia.
This Unit is currently supplying Oral Film products to US and other markets. Transdermal products have been filed in the European market.
Shilpa Medicare is a manufacturer of API, formulation, and development services. Shilpa Medicare (SML) started its operations as an API manufacturer way back in 1987 at Raichur, Karnataka, India.
The company's consolidated net profit fell 40.77% to Rs 14.51 crore, while revenue from operations rose 13.40% to Rs 330.80 crore in Q4 FY25 over Q4 FY24.

Reliance Power on Saturday reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 44.68 crore for the quarter ended June 2025-26, as the company trimmed its expenses. It had posted a loss of Rs 97.85 crore in the first quarter of the preceding 2024-25 fiscal, the company said in an exchange filing. The company's total income was Rs 2,025.31 crore against Rs 2,069.18 crore in the year-ago quarter. Reliance Power managed to reduce its expenses to Rs 1,953.01 crore from Rs 2,142.51 crore in the April-June period of the last financial year. In a statement, the company said its net worth stood at Rs 16,431 crore as of June 30, 2025. The company's 1,200 MW Rosa Power Plant in Uttar Pradesh achieved a plant load factor (PLF) of 97 per cent, while its 3,960 MW Sasun Ultra Mega Power Project in Madhya Pradesh achieved 91 per cent PLF in the quarter. Reliance Power subsidiary Reliance NU Energies received a Letter of Award from SJVN Limited for the largest ISTS-connected solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) project. The project has been awarded for 350 MW ca?acity, which will require installation of 600 MW solar DC (direct current) capacity and 175 MW/ 700 MWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity, at a tariff of Rs 3.33/kWh through a competitive bidding process. Reliance Power Limited, part of the Reliance Group, is one of India's leading private sector power generation companies. It has an operating portfolio of 5,305 megawatts.

RRP Defence partners with French firm CYGR to set up drone manufacturing plant

TIL Creatives AI generated image RRP Defence on Saturday announced that it has partnered with French firm CYGR to set up a drone manufacturing facility in India at an initial investment of around USD 50 million (around Rs 430 crore). This partnership aims to deliver advanced drone systems designed for tactical, surveillance, and industrial use, leveraging French-American technology and Indian manufacturing capability, the RRP group company said in a statement. The two companies are expected to invest USD 50 million initially in the facility, which will be scaled up to USD 100 million later, RRP Defence Chairman Rajendra Chodankar said. The facility, to be located in Navi Mumbai, will support the production of next-generation drones, including nano drones, ISR drones, and hand-launched fixed-wing drones. The focus would be on defence, homeland security, and industrial drone solutions, it said, adding that the plant would contribute to India's high-skill employment and aerospace exports. "By combining our local manufacturing strength and field understanding with CYGR's world-class drone technologies, we are building systems that meet India's unique operational needs," Chodankar said."Through this collaboration with RRP Defence Ltd, we are not only transferring technology, but also co-developing future-ready solutions that support India's defence and surveillance landscape," CYGR France Director George El Aily said.
