KAIZER CHIEFS TO SIGN NIGERIAN MIDFIELDER?
Looking at Amakhosi's current midfield, coach Nasreddine Nabi does not have enough options to compete with the likes of Yusuf Maart and Thabo Cele.
According to Soccer Laduma, the 25-year-old US Monastir midfielder Kingsley Michael is on the radar of the Kaizer Chiefs.
'He is currently playing in Tunisia and there are scouts who have been monitoring him there and he has been doing very well,' a source told the outlet on Kaizer Chiefs' moves.
'That's why he is back on Chiefs' radar. They haven't finalised the shopping list for next season as they are still looking at the players which they can afford and get. Kingsley Michael is one of those they are considering.
Meanwhile, the same publication has claimed that Kaizer Chiefs have increased the club's spending budget this coming winter.
'You know the budget went up? Yes, it's because they want to get almost all their targets this season and to do that they are willing to pay this time around.

'So you know Kingsley is playing in Tunisia and they will need good money to bring him to Naturena, and they are believed to be working on doing just that,' an additional insider said.

Kaizer Motaung Jr on Chiefs' new signings: Baartman, Velebayi for the future, Ighodaro for now
Chiefs new signings Luke Baartman, Asanele Velebayi, and Etiosa Ighodaro during the Betway Premiership against Richards at Soccer City on Tuesday. Picture: Gavin Barker/BackpagePix Kaizer Chiefs Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr. has outlined the club's ambition to secure the best young talent in the country after securing Asanele Velebayi and Luke Baartman. The Amakhosi pounced to bring in both Velebayi and Baartman to Naturena after the former Cape Town Spurs duo were declared free agents after Spurs were relegated from the National First Division to the ABC Motsepe League. Velebayi (22) and Baartman (19) along with fellow new signing striker Etiosa Ighodaro were unveiled during halftime of Chief's Betway Premiership clash at FNB Stadium on Tuesday night. Chiefs went on to claim a 1-0 victory - their third successive win of the new campaign. 'We're very excited and we always had a clear strategy about getting the best young talent,' Motaung Jr. told SuperSport. 'I mean, you look at Luke, he's 19. Asanele is also 21 (sic). We've targeted them specifically, but we know they've got big characters. I think it's all about the specific players we need for how we want to play.'

Kaizer Chiefs announce signing number NINE!
Kaizer Chiefs are not slowing down on the field and nor are they doing so on the transfer market. Chiefs have started the season in perfect fashion winning three out of their three games so far as things stand. That has resulted in nine points and three clean sheets in the process. It seems that Chiefs are winning both on and off the field. On Tuesday it was confirmed that Luke Baartman had won his case against Cape Town Spurs, arguing he is a free agent. This after the club was relegated to the amateur ranks. Just like his former captain at the club and fellow new Amakhosi signing Asanele Velebayi, he was fighting for his clearance. Velebayi was announced by Chiefs straight after the ruling on the PSL DRC and now so has Baartman. Following the attacker's victory, he was announced as a Glamour Boy on the same day. 'Following this morning's announcement of the acquisition of Etiosa Ighodaro, Kaizer Chiefs are pleased to confirm the signing of another forward, Luke Baartman, making him the Club's ninth signing of the 2025/26 season. The 19-year-old junior international joins Amakhosi from Cape Town Spurs, where he played in the Motsepe Foundation League last season. He has also represented South Africa at the junior level. 'We're thrilled to welcome Luke to our team,' says Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr. 'He is an exciting young talent that we've been monitoring for the past few seasons both at Club level, in the Bayhill Cup – where he was voted player of the tournament – and the U-17 national team that played at AFCON. We believe he will bring valuable versatility, playing both as a centre-forward and a winger. We look forward to seeing him in action soon.' Wrote the club on their website . Baartman training with his new teammates is still subject to the Spurs appeal decision, just like Velebayi. Chiefs fans, are you happy to see Baartman announced by your club?
