St Teresa's Senior Primary School gymnast makes her school proud
Dasha, who trains at the Natasha Academy of Dancing (NAD), has shown unwavering dedication and a deep passion for Acrobatic Sport Solo Dance (ASSD).
At the regional competitions, Dasha was placed second with a strong score of 9.47 out of 10.
She went on to achieve first place at the district level, recording the highest score in her category with an impressive 9.75. Her journey continued at provincial championships, where she once again reached the podium, placing second with a score of 9.80.

Crowning her season, the St Teresa's senior learner represented Gauteng province at the Acrobatic Sport South Africa (ASSA) National Championships, where she finished third overall and achieved her personal best score of 9.87.
In recognition of her outstanding performances and dedication to the sport, the gymnast was awarded National Federation Colours in Acrobatic Sport Solo Dance.
'We are immensely proud of Dasha, not only for her results, but for the grace, determination and sportsmanship she has shown every step of the way,' said Lianda May, admissions and marketing at the school.

Springbok team to face Wallabies in Rugby Championship opener: Fassi at 15, Kolisi at 8
Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus has named his team to tackle Australia in the first Rugby Championship Test of the season at Ellis Park on Saturday at 17:10. The teams will meet again the following Saturday in Cape Town before the Boks face the All Blacks in back-to-back Tests in New Zealand and then Argentina in home and away Tests. Erasmus has named Siya Kolisi to lead the team from eighthman for the first time at Test level, while Aphelele Fassi has beaten out the challenge of Damian Willemse to start at fullback. Also, Andre Esterhuizen will feature at inside centre because Damian de Allende has a back niggle, with Manie Libbok at flyhalf. Edwill van der Merwe has also been picked ahead of Cheslin Kolbe at wing because the latter has been nursing a minor injury. 'Experimenting with combinations' The Springboks will be hunting their fifth successive victory against the Wallabies in the match on Saturday after defeating them in both Rugby Championship games in Australia last season and once each in 2023 and 2022. 'We've been experimenting with player combinations during the Incoming Series and at our conditioning camp in the last two weeks, and we believe this team will allow us to play the type of rugby we want to play against Australia,' said Erasmus. 'Why change a winning team?': Orlando Pirates legend rants at technical team
Former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Moeneeb Josephs has slammed his former team following their shock 1-0 loss to Sekhukhune United on Saturday. Playing in front of a packed Orlando Stadium, the Sea Robbers failed to find the back of the net in their first Betway Premiership match of the season. Despite their 2-0 win against Polokwane City in the MTN8 quarter-finals, Pirates looked sluggish a week later against an organised Sekhukhune side. Speaking on the Soccer Beat podcast, Josephs felt Orlando Pirates players took the match for granted after their impressive MTN8 quarter-final win. 'Everyone was looking forward to this season, looking at how last weekend's game went but we have to be constructive as well,' he said. 'This team looks like a team that got results last weekend and thought to themselves, 'I just need to be on the pitch, and the results will take care of themselves. ' 'That will not happen; we never looked like we were going to hurt them. This is Orlando Pirates, we must know that the team that faces us will want to beat us; they will be more motivated. 'We came up against a team that has structure. Eric (Tinkler) structured that team and we can't break them down; we don't have plan A or B.' We have all the ammunition to break them down, but we are using them in the wrong areas. We have to go back to the basics, simple as that,' Josephs said in a rant. The double treble winner questioned Orlando Pirates coach's decision to experiment during the first match of the season. 'Listen, these results hurt because we spoke last season about what we need to do to stay up there. We need to start well, we need to start on the right foot. 'Time for experimentation is gone; hence, you had the pre-season. My disappointment as well comes from the technical team, because why didn't we carry on with the team that did well last season? because they know exactly what is expected; the tempo, the pressure and then slowly introduce these new players,' said the Orlando Pirates legend.
