There are just two weeks remaining in the 2025 UFL regular season, but fans already know which teams will be competing in the postseason.
The Arlington Renegades and Houston Roughnecks were officially eliminated from playoff contention with losses last week. That allowed the DC Defenders and St. Louis Battlehawks to clinch the XFL conference's two playoff berths while the Michigan Panthers and Birmingham Stallions will represent the USFL.
That said, the No. 1 seed in each conference remains up for grabs. The pecking order in the XFL may not be established until Week 10, but the Panthers have an opportunity to wrap up the USFL's top seed as they look to gain every possible advantage on the three-time spring-league champion Stallions.
Here's what to know about the UFL's Week 9 schedule and how to watch all four matchups.
UFL schedule Week 9: What games are on today?
The UFL will, as always, feature four matchups in Week 9. For the second consecutive week, the league's doubleheader will be played on Saturday, though the games will not be contested simultaneously as they were last week. There will be one game on both Friday and Sunday to bookend the weekend.

The Battlehawks are coming off one of their biggest wins of the season. They beat the Stallions 29-28 in a potential UFL championship game preview after a Callahan O'Reilly pick-six and a Jacob Saylors touchdown allowed St. Louis to outscore Birmingham 16-7 in the final quarter.
Now, St. Louis will look to beat the league-worst Brahmas and get a leg-up on the Defenders in the race for the XFL conference's No. 1 seed. San Antonio has averaged 23 points per game over its last two outings, both one-score losses, so the Brahmas won't necessarily be a pushover.

The Renegades were eliminated from playoff contention in Week 8 after a 33-30 loss to the Defenders. It marked Arlington's fourth straight loss, all of which have come by six points or less, and continued their two-year trend of struggling to win close games.
Like Arlington, Memphis is out of contention. However, the Showboats are coming off a win during which their defense forced Kevin Hogan into three interceptions and didn't allow a passing touchdown. If their defense continues to perform well, they could potentially challenge the Renegades, especially if quarterback Luis Perez cedes reps to Holton Ahlers with the team out of contention.
DARYL JOHNSTON: UFL coaching departures not about lack of confidence in league
Michigan Panthers (6-2) at Birmingham Stallions (5-3)

This matchup will serve as a USFL championship game preview and may ultimately decide which team gets the No. 1 seed in the conference. The Panthers would clinch it with a win while the Stallions would be in the driver's seat if they win.
Both Michigan and Birmingham are dealing with injuries at quarterback. The Panthers relied on Danny Etling to lead them to a 30-18 win over the Roughnecks in Week 8 with potential UFL MVP Bryce Perkins nursing an ankle injury. Etling performed well, completing 14 of 22 passes for 167 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, the Stallions have relied on J'Mar Smith to lead them amid injuries to Alex McGough and Matt Corral. Smith came out of retirement to rejoin Skip Holtz's squad and has performed well. He completed 14 of 27 passes for 262 yards, three touchdowns and an interception against the Battlehawks last week.
If both quarterbacks play well again, this game figures to be more of an offensive showdown than their early-season meeting. Birmingham beat Michigan on the road 21-12 in a Week 2 defensive battle.

Meanwhile, Houston was eliminated from playoff contention via its 30-18 loss to Michigan last week. The Roughnecks are just playing for pride at this point, but quarterback Jalan McClendon continues to provide their once-stagnant offense a spark. The battle between him and DC quarterback Jordan Ta'amu should be fun for UFL fans to watch.

Here's how we see it playing out. Men's Money in the Bank match I hope this match opens the show because if you have the tag team match after this, you have both champions in the ring. It makes the entire show more interesting because they're both exposed. So we open with the men's match, and I could make a case for everyone to win. I think I'm going outside the box for my pick, but I'm taking my guy Solo Sikoa. He's been struggling and this could add a layer to his story, which is my favorite thing on Smackdown right now. I love you Solo! You are my Money in the Bank winner! Women's Money in the Bank match Another match that features a bunch of stars that could make a case to win. The one difference between the men and the women's match is that no women world champions are on the show, so they'd need to figure out a way to have a winner cash in on the show. I think the best winner here would be Naomi. She earned it by taking a whooping at WrestleMania. She has been a great bad girl since turning this year, I think giving her the briefcase will springboard her into the next level. Would also like to see Alexa Bliss win, but official prediction is Naomi. Lyra Valkyria vs. Becky Lynch I can't believe I'm saying this, but Valkyria is holding her own with Lynch both in the ring and on the microphone. Valkyria really showed what she can do in this feud, and it's not hurting Lynch at all. She's still great. This has been a fun feud and this will be a fun match. I'm going with Lyra Valkyria winning too. It will only get her further up there as a top tier player. She's a star. I think Lynch winning would be better for the story, but Valkyria winning sets her up to keep shooting up the card. Prediction: Valkyria wins. Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso vs. John Cena and Logan Paul This match makes no sense on so many different levels. I'm happy that Jey Uso and Logan Paul are in a main event, but the other two are dragging them down a bit. The Cena bad guy just hasn't been very good. I'm not sure why, I was excited when it happened, but it's almost like a rehash of the Roman Reigns story with a guy who is nowhere near as hot or entertaining right now as the Tribal Chief! Cena is an all-time great, but this isn't working. His matches have been fine, and this should be a great match because it's four guys who are a lot of fun to watch. I think Uso is going to get "hurt" in this match which will soften him up for his rematch with Gunther on Monday. So I'm siding with John Cena and Logan Paul to win. And I'd love to see a cash in, but it depends on the match order. Prediction: Logan Paul and John Cena win. From homeless to pro football: What happens to the guys who never quite make it?
In an effort to land a look by an NFL team, he slept on a mattress outside of a community center, had no money, and lied his way into the tryout. You always hear about the athlete, or entertainer, who sleeps in their car, or eats the leftovers behind the restaurant in the alley, before catching the break to realize their dream. You never hear about the people who do the same things but never reach that status. Advertisement There are far more examples of those. Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi is not a wide receiver you'd know. You may have heard his story as the guy who was 'homeless' before he caught on for hot minute with the Cleveland Browns, when he was 21. That was in 2019. Today, Sheehy-Guiseppi is 30, and just completed the season with the UFL's Arlington Renegades, who missed the playoffs. Considering where Sheehy-Guiseppi began, he should never have played a game beyond unior college. He can always say he made it as a pro football player. He was paid, and sometimes housed, to play football. It just wasn't in the NFL. Advertisement Whether this qualifies as 'success,' or a dream fulfilled, depends not on the fan, coach, or scout but Sheehy-Guiseppi. A high point in the football career of Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi (right) when he was with the Cleveland Browns during training camp in 2019. He just finished the season with the Arlington Renegades of the UFL. Never quitting football Sheehy-Guiseppi ran track in junior college before he transferred to another community college and tried out for the football team. In 2016, he was first team National Junior College Athletic Association All-American after he led the nation in kick return yards for Phoenix College. This is the part how he became 'homeless.' After his college career ended following the '16 season, he was done with football before he decided to give it one more try. He had been given an address of an NFL free agent workout near Miami. Advertisement 'I saved enough money for a one-way ticket to Miami,' he told the Star-Telegram in an interview of his trip from Phoenix to South Beach in the spring of 2016. 'I didn't have a car. I had a cell phone. That was it.' When he landed, he had no money. Someone spotted him at the bus stop outside the airport and gave him $5 for a one way ride that would drop him off about one mile from the facility. When he arrived for the tryout, his name was not on an invite list with the approximately 15 other players. He knew one name to name drop his way into a workout. That part worked. But he had no place to stay. Advertisement 'I found a Jewish Community Center that was gated, so my first night in town I found this little grass spot in the back and I thought, 'I'm going to stay here,'' he said. 'Then I found a mattress that was going in the trash. I dragged that over behind the bushes and trees. No one could see it. 'I made sure I woke up early enough to get my workout in. Then I would go to the beach. Go to a laundromat. Relax. I would just walk around with my duffle bag until it was time to lay down again.' He ran into a familiar face at the tryout, who knew an agent, who took him to lunch. It was the first meal he ate since the Chex Mix on the plane. He ate, and took their to go boxes. Not entirely sure of the agent's intentions, he passed on the ride and instead had to call a friend in Phoenix to arrange a cab to the Jewish Community Center. This was one week of his life, but it paid off when the Browns invited him for a tryout in Cleveland. Advertisement No one ever caught him sleeping on that mattress behind the Jewish Community Center. 'Making it' in the pros During his tryout with the Browns, he ran a 4.38 40-yard dash. That earned him an invite to training camp. He had turned a decimal point of an opportunity that he created by himself into a real look. In the team's first preseason game of the 2019 season, he returned a punt 86 yards for a score. Less than a month later, he was cut. 'After that, it all gets a little blurry. I don't remember the teams but I remember the leagues,' he said. 'It was the XFL in 2020. Then it was off to The Spring League. ... I think, in all, it was 10 leagues.' Advertisement Using Phoenix as his home base, where his mother lives, he never did stop chasing football. He signed to play with the XFL when it launched in 2020, but that ended a few months after it started because of COVID. 'The Spring League' was an actual developmental league, that folded in 2021. He signed with the CFL but never played in a game because of injury. He signed, in 2022, with Major League Football, which closed during training camp. Late in 2023, he signed with a team in Italy, and led his team the following year in receptions, yards and touchdown catches. He was named that league's offensive player of the year in 2024. 'Now that was super fun,' he said. 'It's the same game, but the speed of it was different.' Advertisement After that season, he signed with the UFL for 2025, but battled injuries nearly that kept him on the sideline for most of the season.. He said playing for the Arlington Renegades is the most money he's made as a pro. If someone had told him when he started this that he could be a pro football player, but that this is what being a 'pro player' is, would he do it? 'Tough question. I would do it because it's not over. So I feel like my end goal is still gonna happen,' said Sheehy-Guiseppi, who hopes to eventually work with young players to help them navigate a system that can crush them if they are not careful. His end goal is one more try out. One more look by an NFL team. Advertisement Whether it comes or not, Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi has had a career as a pro football player. He was paid to play football. Titans revamp their offensive line to protect No. 1 draft pick Cam Ward
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Trying to fix the offensive line was this offseason's top priority for the Tennessee Titans even before quarterback Cam Ward became the No. 1 overall pick. Only four NFL teams allowed more sacks in the 2024 season than Tennessee and that was a reason why the Titans won only three games in coach Brian Callahan's debut season. New general manager Mike Borgonzi signed Dan Moore Jr. as the Titans' left tackle along with veteran Kevin Zeitler as a right guard. JC Latham, their first-round pick a year ago, has switched ends to right tackle. Protecting the quarterback better is a priority. That's why offensive line guru Bill Callahan has taken his linemen back to fundamentals this offseason. 'I think we have a good vision,' Callahan said Tuesday. 'I think we'll have a better idea as it unfolds here in training camp.' The Titans have plenty of room for improvement with only Houston (54), Seattle (54), Cleveland (66) and Chicago (68) giving up more than Tennessee's 52 sacks allowed. Center Lloyd Cushenberry, who missed eight games with an Achilles' tendon injury, is busy rehabbing along with Zeitler. Brian Callahan said that's by design as the Titans try to manage the 35-year-old Zeitler. 'Don't need to see a lot of Zeitler at the moment,' the Titans coach said. 'He's pretty proven at this point in his career. So more just about being smart than anything else. But he's here, he's participating, he's around, he's in meetings and he's with us.' The Titans made a beeline for Moore in free agency. The Pittsburgh left tackle got a four-year deal worth $82 million and $50 million guaranteed as a rare starting offensive tackle available in free agency. 'It's hard to find, you know, quality tackles any more in free agency because everybody's keeping them,' Bill Callahan said. The 6-foot-5, 315-pound Moore's best ability might be his availability. He started all 66 games he's played, including 17 last season. His arrival helps Tennessee try to fix right tackle where four different players started last season. Moore's big contract is a sign the Titans see beyond the NFL-high 12 sacks along with 41 quarterback pressures allowed by Moore, according to Pro Football Focus. Moore said he thought he played well last season and expects to improve his game with Bill Callahan's help. 'All I'm looking forward to is the future,' Moore said. Latham has spent the offseason losing weight after getting up to 370 pounds at the end of his rookie season with the added heft slowing him down. He met with his position coach and worked with the Titans' nutritionist and his own chef to cut down his food. That is why Latham showed up for the third phase of the offseason program at 337 pounds, and he is working to get closer to 325 or even 320 as he settles back in the position he played in college at Alabama. Latham said he'll play wherever the Titans want him. The Titans linemen hope to build on chemistry started this offseason working out at offensive line coach Duke Manyweather's gym in Texas. Moore was there with Latham and left guard Peter Skoronski, going into his third NFL season with yet another left tackle. Skoronski, the 11th pick overall in 2023, said he'll miss Latham but sees Moore's experience as being helpful. 'He's got a great attitude and works super, super hard,' Skoronski said of Moore.
