Naga Munchetty 'set to quit BBC Breakfast following bullying allegations'
It comes after the broadcaster's flagship morning programme was hit with bullying allegations, including against the 50-year-old TV presenter.
It was reported earlier this year that an internal investigation was being carried out into allegations of bullying at the BBC show.
It was then confirmed that the editor of BBC Breakfast, Richard Frediani, would be taking a period of extended leave from the programme. He has headed up the daily show from Salford since 2019.
A month later, it was then reported by Deadline that Frediani had returned to the show.
The Sun has also reported claims that Munchetty faced her own bullying allegations and had been spoken to by BBC bosses over two incidents in three years.
The publication has now claimed Munchetty, who has presented the BBC programme since 2014, is on the verge of quitting the public service broadcaster, with her representatives said to have renewed talks last week with radio station rival LBC.
An inside source told the publication: 'Naga loves the BBC and her job but there's only so much external noise anyone is prepared to take.
'Her team last week renewed talks with LBC. The Global Radio station would suit her as there's far less of the fluffy nonsense that's involved in working at the BBC.'
An HR adviser from consultancy firm PwC is supporting the Beeb as it reviews the culture of the BBC One morning show.
The report of Munchetty's possible departure comes after the top BBC salaries were once again revealed this week, with the annual report revealed that she takes home between £355,000 and £359,000. More Trending
In the wake of the bullying allegations at BBC Breakfast, the BBC said it did not comment on individual cases but takes 'all complaints about conduct at work extremely seriously and will not tolerate behaviour that is not in line with our values'.
A BBC statement added: 'We have robust processes in place and would encourage any staff with concerns to raise them directly with us so they can be addressed.'

Major EastEnders return confirmed as star reprises role after 11 years
Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) will have plenty of reasons to celebrate in EastEnders as, ahead of his wedding to one true love Yolande (Angela Wynter), his beloved son Anthony (Nicholas Bailey) is set to return. A mainstay of the BBC soap between 2000 and 2003 – with brief returns in 2004, 2005 and 2014 – Anthony featured in numerous storylines over the years, including his relationship with Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace). The former Walford doctor was last seen a little over a decade ago when he staged a short return for one episode following Patrick's stroke. But after 11 years, he is set to stage another comeback and, much like his mid-noughties returns, it's the nuptials of Yolande and Patrick that brings him back to the Square. His visit to Walford, however, comes at a significant moment for Patrick and it means that his stay is longer than he intended. Consider us intrigued. 'It is an unexpected treat to return to EastEnders and I'm full of gratitude to get the opportunity to revisit the character of Anthony,' said actor Nicholas Bailey on reprising his role. 'It's wonderful to work with Rudolph Walker again – he's such a big part of my journey as an actor and I loved filming my first scenes with him after so long. More Trending 'I'm excited to see what the passage of time has done to Anthony and explore his relationship with Patrick at this stage in their lives.' BBC Michael McIntyre's The Wheel sparks complaints as fans 'can't watch' anymore
The Wheel returned to screens on Saturday night with comedian Michael McIntyre back at the helm Viewers of Michael McIntyre 's The Wheel were left underwhelmed by the latest episode of the BBC quiz show. Saturday night (July 19) saw the return of the gameshow with comedian Michael McIntyre once again steering the ship. A new group of celebrity experts, including Harry Redknapp, Carol Vorderman, Nick Grimshaw, Andi Oliver, Tom Read Wilson, Angela Scanlon, and Chunkz, joined him to assist contestants in their quest for a substantial cash prize. Despite the star-studded lineup, fans quickly voiced their displeasure upon realising they were watching a repeat. One viewer vented on social media: "@BBCOne really going for it this Saturday night with 5 (FIVE) game shows back to back." Another expressed confusion: "Don't understand why they repeat quiz shows.", reports the Daily Record. A third remarked: "As soon as we saw Angela's topic we knew it was a repeat," alluding to Angela's speciality subject of 'redheads'. Yet another commented: "Love the show even if it is a repeat." Some viewers also reported feeling queasy while tuning in. One person wrote: "Has anyone every got motion sickness on The Wheel whilst it's spinning?" Another shared: "Can't watch The Wheel on the BBC. It makes me feel dizzy and sick." However, there's a silver lining for fans of the show, as a brand-new sixth series of Michael McIntyre's The Wheel is set to air later this year. In April, the BBC announced that it had commissioned two more series each of Michael McIntyre's Big Show and Michael McIntyre's The Wheel. Michael McIntyre has expressed his delight over the success of his hit shows, stating: "I'm so proud of the success of both The Big Show and The Wheel. This will take the Big Show up to its 10th series, which is an amazing achievement for everyone involved." The comedian went on to say: "The Wheel was a show we made in lockdown while we couldn't film the Big Show, but it's become equally beloved." He also shared a humorous anecdote: "Someone came up to me recently while I was walking the dog and said they "loved The Big Wheel", I have no idea whether they meant The Big Show, The Wheel or both shows, they may have just come from The London Eye".
