A calm wedding scene turned into a warm meet-up between two old basketball teammates. Steven Adams showed up at Andre Roberson's wedding in California over the weekend. They both played for the Oklahoma City Thunder for many years and were known for their strong bond and tough defense.
The two smiled for a simple selfie that was later posted online. It reminded many of the time they spent playing side by side for seven seasons.
Steven Adams attends Andre Roberson and Rachel DeMita's wedding celebration in California
On Saturday, August 3, Steven Adams went to the wedding of his old teammate Andre Roberson. The wedding took place in California. Roberson married Rachel DeMita, a TV host who first became known through NBA 2KTV.
The day was special, and Adams and Roberson took a selfie together.
The photo made its way to social media not long after. Steven Adams and Andre Roberson looked chilled out, just two old teammates smiling for a quick snap. Nothing posed, just a simple moment that felt real.
They were on the Oklahoma City Thunder together from way back in 2013 till about 2020. They weren't the flashy guys, not the ones making all the headlines, but if you watched the games, you knew. They always had each other's back.

Didn't talk big, didn't flash — but they were tough. Played defense like it mattered every time.
While Durant and Westbrook got the spotlight, Adams and Roberson were just there, grinding it out. Showed up, did the dirty work, no fuss.
From teammates to lifelong friends: A journey of hard work and lasting bonds
Steven Adams joined the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2013 as the 12th overall pick. One year later, in 2014, Andre Roberson was drafted 26th by the same team. The two spent about seven seasons side by side, growing a solid friendship both during games and beyond the court.
Although the Thunder didn't win a championship during that time, they were always in the mix. Adams and Roberson earned respect for their hard work and strong defense. They gave everything for their team and were respected by teammates.
After 2020, things changed. Roberson stopped playing in the NBA after 2021. Adams stayed and is now with the Houston Rockets. He helps younger players and still plays an important role.

'She has a larger impact on…': NASA engineer reveals the power moves behind Taylor Swift's success and Travis Kelce's role

Former NASA engineer Sinéad O'Sullivan analyzes Taylor Swift's success (Getty Images) In an unexpected twist of pop culture meets science, former NASA engineer Sinéad O'Sullivan is breaking down the Taylor Swift phenomenon—through the lens of business and innovation. Her upcoming book Good Ideas and Power Moves: Ten Lessons for Success From Taylor Swift (Penguin Random House, out Sept. 9) argues that Swift's astronomical rise wasn't accidental—it was engineered. And according to O'Sullivan, it's a playbook anyone can learn from, even NFL stars like Travis Kelce who are building brands far beyond the field. Why Taylor Swift's career is more than music—it's a masterclass in rewriting the rules The book describes Swift not as a lucky pop princess, but as a 'founder of her own multibillion-dollar enterprise,' who outpaces hedge funds and wields more economic influence than many politicians. 'Taylor Swift's genius is not limited to her singing and songcraft,' reads a description of the book. — billboard (@billboard) 'As the founder of her own multibillion-dollar enterprise, she has higher returns than 99.9% of hedge funds and has built a stronger global corporation than nearly every other American conglomerate CEO. She is the only person that the U.S. Federal Reserve and European Central Bank track with precision. She has a larger impact on the economy than most economists that have ever lived and has done more for U.S. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Free P2,000 GCash eGift UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo antitrust law than any sitting member of Congress. There is a lot to learn from Taylor Swift.' 'Taylor's story isn't one of overnight success or unattainable genius,' O'Sullivan writes, according to the Washington Examiner. 'It's a story of deliberate choices, relentless hard work and an unwavering belief in the power of having agency, and of believing in herself enough to use that agency. She has shown that success, no matter how outsize, is within reach for those who are willing to take risks, learn from setbacks, and stay true to their goals. ' This isn't just about music—it's about mindset. By taking risks, embracing failure, and refusing to accept industry norms, Swift forged her own economy. And that, O'Sullivan argues, is a formula that transcends entertainment. Why Travis Kelce is the real-world echo of Taylor Swift's philosophy Travis Kelce, Swift's high-profile partner and NFL tight end, is no stranger to playing outside the playbook. From hosting Saturday Night Live to launching fashion lines and podcasting ventures, Kelce mirrors Swift's strategy: diversify, dominate, and do it on your own terms. Their relationship isn't just a media frenzy—it's a case study in brand synergy and how two powerhouses can amplify each other's cultural reach. Swift's influence, it seems, is spreading far beyond pop charts. As Good Ideas and Power Moves shows, she's not just a superstar—she's a strategist rewriting the rules of success. And if Kelce is any indication, others are taking notes. Also Read: Are wedding bells next? 'Held back when team needed more': Former India pacer questions Jasprit Bumrah's impact in drawn England series

India captain Shubman Gill with pacer Jasprit Bumrah. NEW DELHI: India's hard-fought 2-2 series draw against England in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy produced numerous standout performances, but not everyone lived up to the billing. Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan expressed disappointment in Jasprit Bumrah 's performance, despite the pacer finishing as one of the top wicket-takers in the series. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! Bumrah featured in only three of the five Tests due to workload management. While he returned with 14 wickets at an average of 26.00 — including two five-wicket hauls — Pathan felt Bumrah lacked the killer instinct in crucial moments. Poll How would you rate Jasprit Bumrah's performance in the recent series against England? Outstanding Good Average Below Expectations 'Bumrah will get six out of ten,' Pathan said on his YouTube channel. 'When you're a senior player, there is a lot of responsibility to win matches. He played three Tests, and India didn't win any of them.' Citing specific examples, Pathan pointed to the series opener where Bumrah took five wickets in the first innings but failed to pick up a single in the second while defending a sizeable total of 370. Inside The Oval: An Exclusive Tour of the Stadium Where India Played the Final Test 'At that crucial time, your main match-winner has to find a way — over the wicket, around the wicket, yorkers, slower balls, bouncers — anything to create pressure. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Free P2,000 GCash eGift UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo That didn't happen. In the Leeds Test, we did not see that pressure being built. England ended up scoring heavily, and Bumrah did not take a single wicket,' he added. The former pacer also noted Bumrah's reluctance to stretch spells when India needed breakthroughs. 'There were moments, like when a sixth over was needed. Joe Root had been dismissed by him 11 times, and in that Lord's Test, Bumrah bowled just five overs. That one more over could've pushed harder. I felt he held back.' While acknowledging Bumrah's name going up on the Lord's honours board, Pathan stressed that the world's top-ranked Test bowler is held to a higher standard. 'He took a five-wicket haul and got his name on the Lord's honours board. But when you are the number one bowler, there is an expectation of number one-level performance, and I felt he did not quite live up to that.'
