Watch Oklahoma QB John Mateer give Sooners teammates Beats By Dre
When the Oklahoma Sooners added quarterback John Mateer via the transfer portal, the hope was that he'd help resurrect an offense that was one of the worst in the nation in 2025. Not only has he done that, but he's also been a big part of building team 131 from a leadership standpoint. Players and coaches have spoken of Mateer's leadership and how he's not only built relationships with everyone on the offensive side of the ball, but he's also built a strong rapport with the guys on defense as well. He's sat in on meetings with each position group and has gone above and beyond to build confidence and camaraderie. Mateer recently entered into a name, image, and likeness agreement with the worldwide brand Beats by Dre. Oklahoma football released a video of Mateer walking into Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium sporting the Oklahoma Sooners-themed Beats. But that wasn't all. Mateer also gifted his teammates with a pair of Beats. The reaction will leave you smiling, as teammates could be heard in the video shouting, "We love you, John!!!" The gesture had the players smiling and cheering after practice let out. Watch the video of Mateer giving his teammates the Beats headphones below as released by Oklahoma Football's social media team. Dakota Johnson's Waist-Cinching Silver Gucci Gown Brings the Metallic Trend to the Red Carpet
THE RUNDOWN Dakota Johnson brought back spring's metallic trend and gave it the red-carpet treatment at the Los Angeles premiere of Splitsville last night. The actress arrived in a silver leather Gucci gown with a draped corset that cinched her waist. She posed with her mother, Melanie Griffith, and her co-star Adria Arjona. It was a Gucci night for the star, who changed into an emerald long-sleeve minidress from the fashion house for the after-party. Johnson's film Splitsville comes out on August 22. Get tickets here. In May, Johnson spoke to Deadline about the film, saying it has 'an interesting tone because I guess, off the bat, it reads as a comedy, but it's a very soulful, unique comedy about two couples and the challenging dynamics of their relationships individually, and then their relationships intertwined with each other. It's about the complexities of love.' Johnson plays a woman in an open marriage. She reflected on how she views non-monogamy herself, saying, 'I think it's such an interesting topic because I don't feel like there's one right way to love, or one right way to live your life, and I think human beings are being allowed to evolve. I think it's rare that we hear of people being in a partnership or a relationship that's like, 'Yeah, and then we grow together and separately, and it's super healthy and fun.' It's rare that that happens. I don't think there's any right way. I feel like, if you want to have multiple relationships in your life, great. If you want to go really deep with one person, great. If you want to have both of those at the same time, great. Why not, really? But also scary, you know?'
