Sophie Habboo says husband Jamie Laing threatened to leave her over her pregnancy hormones
Sophie Habboo and Jamie Laing are expecting their first child together but it seems the pair have had a few rows after the Made In Chelsea star told his wife she was being 'unbearable' while dealing with her pregnancy symptoms. Sophie Habboo has candidly opened up about her extreme pregnancy hormones in her recent podcast, confessing her husband Jamie Laing threatened to leave after she became intensely 'grumpy' as a result of them. Jamie Laing, 36, and his wife Sophie, 30, are getting ready to welcome their first child, having announced the happy news with fans at the beginning of the month. The couple have been flooded with support from fans as they share heartwarming updates about their pregnancy, including some adorable snaps of Sophie's growing baby bump. On their podcast, NewlyParents, the couple discussed Sophie's hormones, revealing that Jamie told her she was being 'unbearable' when she was feeling nauseated all day. She recalled: "We are leaving and I feel really sick this day, unless I have a piece of bread in my mouth, I feel I'm going to vomit. And Jamie gets his camera out and goes, 'I'm going to vlog today'. I'm like, 'What on my Sunday that I'm about to vomit all day long? He's told me he's going to take me to Borough Market so I can eat the world, but it's for the vlog. "And what happened was Jamie sits down and he goes 'I'm going to call my friends and ask them what I should do about this. Because I'm going to have to leave you. "I'm going to leave you because you're just so unbearable right now. And I'm going to ask my friends how to do that." She recounted how she cried and wailed and said: "And I went 'You're going to leave me and I'm pregnant'.' Sophie and Jamie laughed as they retold the story but Jamie was quick to defend himself, saying he was totally unaware of the hormonal changes she was going through and is now completely supportive, the Metro reports. Jamie said: "The amount of people who are going to call me an a*****e. Just a caveat very quickly, I had no idea the emotional journey that you go on, how your body changes. "I just didn't understand the extreme things that go on and since having read stuff and by the way Sophie sends me stuff every day on Instagram, I am awe of what you go through. The hormone change is wild." Sophie then added: "The bowel change is wild, it's really upsetting and no one tells you that." In the podcast, they discussed their conception journey as Jamie admitted to not really understanding the the ins and outs of conceiving a child. He said: "Turns out I had no idea about this. I honestly thought for the whole of my life right? That I was walking around with a loaded gun.". Sophie immediately said his phrase was a 'rank description' as he continued to say he thought his penis was a 'loaded gun full of semen'. He said: "I thought it was easy to get anyone pregnant, like so easy". Sophie added that he was 'thick' when it came to speaking about fertility and explained that he had been wanting to try for a baby even when she was on her period. Jamie revealed he also had no idea that women could only get pregnant on just one day of the month. This podcast episode comes as the couple have rebranded their podcast from NewlyWeds to NearlyParents. In a press release about the change, Sophie said: "I'm so excited for this next chapter of our podcast, and of our lives! I feel like NewlyWeds has always been about sharing the real, messy, and wonderful parts of our relationship, and now we get to do the same as we start our family. It feels so special to bring our listeners along for the ride." Jamie added: "I can't wait to share this chapter of our lives with you – and to have a whole new bunch of hilarious stories to share! "NearlyParents is going to be all about the ups, the downs, and the in-betweens of not only becoming parents, but how we also navigate everything life throws at us in between!" Announcing the news that they are expecting their first baby together, the pair shared a touching video of their scan on Instagram. The footage shows Sophie lying on a hospital bed and smiling at Jamie, who asked how she was feeling and said, 'Oh my god.' The pair then saw the scan, and Jamie could be heard saying, 'Are you kidding me?' The video then panned to an ecstatic Sophie listening to their baby's heartbeat.

Helen Skelton reveals she has 'finally found her happiness'
The 41-year-old presenter of Countryfile and On The Farm is no stranger to soaking up the great outdoors. A mum-of-three, she says getting out is always her priority, no matter how long her to-do list is. Speaking to Closer magazine, she said: "I've always loved being outdoors, it's so important to me. We've had lots of new arrivals on the farm over the last few days - one of them being this adorable American Miniature Horse, pictured with mum Pearl! Watch as Farmer Rob checked in on them yesterday: — Cannon Hall Farm (@CannonHallFarm) May 29, 2025 "I grew up on a farm surrounded by fields, and the ability to wake up and look at greenery everyday is something I've never taken for granted - it brings me so much happiness. "I might have a million things to do but I'll still go for a swim, paddle or walk. Even if I've got dishes to do, bills to sort and emails to answer, prioritising being outside and doing something active is as important to me as waking up and brushing my teeth." "I take one day at a time and I don't overthink things. My motto in life has always been, "How do you eat an elephant?" You just go little by little, bit by bit. Recommended reading: "I break it down, and I use that approach with everything. I might have kayaked 2010 miles down the Amazon, but in my head I only ever kayaked 16 miles loads of times. I've run loads of marathons, but in my head I haven't. I've only ever run five miles loads of times. "When I did Strictly Come Dancing, my friends would be thinking about what their next dance was, but I never ever let Gorka [Marquez] talk about the next week. Think about what you need to do today and tomorrow. "That'll get you one step closer to where you'd ultimately like to be."
