Wolves look likely to move him on permanently this summer

Still only 22, it's been a rather stop-start career in senior football for Silva so far.
He burst onto the scene as a 17-year old with Porto in August 2019 and despite making just 12 league appearances, was on the move in a mega transfer to England the following summer.
Wolves shelled-out a club record £35million to land Silva but it's never worked out for him.
He's managed just four goals in 62 Premier League games for the Old Gold.
That has meant Silva spending the bulk of the last three years out on loan.
He enjoyed a successful stint at Anderlecht in the first half of the 2022/23 season, earning him a switch to Dutch giants PSV for the second half of the campaign.
Silva returned to Wolves for the beginning of the 2023/24 campaign but once again struggled to make an impact.
He was then snapped-up by Rangers on loan until the end of the season last January.
It would prove a spell of mixed fortunes for Silva, who would net six goals in 25 games across all competitions for the Light Blues.
While some of his performances impressed, others did not.
Barry Ferguson is on the brink of erupting at his Rangers squad
Some of Silva's goal celebrations also didn't go down too well with Gers fans.
He received backlash for appearing to gesture to tell his critics among the Light Blues support to 'shut up', while pointing to his name on his shirt on the final day of the season against Hearts didn't go down well either, especially after the Gers' title challenge had collapsed.
Current Rangers assistant Neil McCann, then with the BBC as a pundit blasted that "it doesn't bother" Silva whether Rangers win or lose.
He returned to Wolves again last summer, where his contract runs until 2026.
But he went out on loan again, this time to La Liga with Las Palmas.
It's proved a transformational spell for Silva, who has impressed in Spain's top division.
He's bagged 10 goals in 26 games across all competitions and also earned his first senior Portugal cap.
Silva's also just been named La Liga's under-23 player of the month.
The striker's future, however, is very much uncertain.
What does look likely though is that he WON'T still be on Wolves' books beyond the summer.

Local outlet Express & Star are reporting that Silva will likely be sold this summer, marking a permanent exit from the club after five years.
Now, Las Palmas-based outlet La Provincia claim that the English club have set a £21million asking price for the in-form striker.
They're also reporting that a host of huge European clubs are in for him.
Spanish giants Atletico Madrid and Villarreal are credited with an interest.
So too are German outfits Eintracht Frankfurt and Stuttgart.
While it's been a solid campaign personally for Silva, Las Palmas are still in serious relegation danger.
They're currently sitting in the relegation zone in 18th place and are two points from safety.
There are five games left of the La Liga season to go.
The Gran Canaria club have several other familiar faces in their ranks as well as Silva.
Scotland stars Scott McKenna and Oli McBurnie are there, as well as former Man Utd winger Adnan Januzaj and on-loan Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic.

Spurs close in on Thomas Frank after making official approach to Brentford

Spurs sacked Ange Postecoglou on Friday, despite Europa League success, and quickly set their sights on Frank – who has gained admirers for his work over an impressive seven-year period at the west London club. After positive initial talks over the weekend, confidence started to grow on Monday morning that Frank would be the man to replace Postecoglou and Tottenham have now entered discussions with Brentford, PA understands. Following a review of performances and after significant reflection, the Club can announce that Ange Postecoglou has been relieved of his duties. — Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) June 6, 2025 Frank's current deal with the Bees runs until the summer of 2027 and contains a release clause reported to be in the region of £10million. Brentford are eager to hold out for Frank's release clause, but they have started talks with Spurs over a compensation package which would soften the blow of losing the highly-rated Dane. The 51-year-old would take over a Spurs side which won the Europa League last month but finished 17th in the Premier League. Poor domestic form during the 2024-25 season cost Postecoglou his job as the Spurs board was forced to make 'one of the toughest decisions' it has had to make in dismissing the head coach who ended a 17-year trophy drought. 'It is crucial that we are able to compete on multiple fronts and believe a change of approach will give us the strongest chance for the coming season and beyond,' a club statement on Friday read. PA understands Tottenham have also relieved coaches Mile Jedinak, Nick Montgomery and Sergio Raimundo of their duties. A post shared by West Bromwich Albion (@wba) Ryan Mason left his role as Spurs first-team coach last week to take over as West Brom boss, which opens the door for Frank to bring in some of his own staff – with current Brentford assistant Claus Norgaard a long-term ally. PA understands another departure from Spurs this summer will be Scott Munn, who was made chief football officer at the club in 2023. Tottenham technical director Johan Lange has remained in post and is set to renew allegiances with compatriot Frank. Frank and Lange worked together at Danish club Lyngby before they both made their marks in the Premier League. Lange attempted to bring Frank to Aston Villa in 2022 when he worked at the midlands outfit. Former Brondby boss Frank has developed a strong reputation in English football since he took over Brentford, with his tactical nous and man-management skills often lauded by rival managers and pundits. After Frank guided Brentford to promotion in 2021, he quickly enabled them to compete strongly in the Premier League despite a modest budget and has been linked to a number of high-profile vacancies in recent years.

Alan Shearer makes ultimate Newcastle prediction in big compliment to Eddie Howe

Eddie Howe is looking to establish Newcastle as a force in the Premier League and they've been tipped to surpass Kevin Keegan's entertaining side, who narrowly missed out on the title Toon legend Alan Shearer claims Newcastle are better equipped to be crowned Premier League champions than Kevin Keegan's Entertainers. Shearer joined his hometown club 19 years ago, weeks after they'd been pipped to the title by Manchester United and in his first season at St James's Park, the Magpies finished runners-up again. But having seen Newcastle end their 70 year wait for domestic silverware, the club's record goalscorer believes the platform has been laid for further success. ‌ Asked if Eddie Howe's side have a better chance of winning the league than the side he played in, Shearer said: 'I think they have. That team was a really good one but this one has done something we couldn't do, something Sir Bobby Robson couldn't do, which Kevin Keegan couldn't do. ‌ 'And Eddie Howe has had to do it the hard way. They won the Carabao Cup, beating the big boys who were all top four or five in the table – Forest, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. 'Can they challenge for the title? They have the opportunity by signing the right players. By August if they bring in two of three big hitters, then they will be in a better position.' Looking back at his Toon career, Shearer added: 'I wasn't there when they lost a 12 point lead. I came in and was meant to be the final piece of the jigsaw but it didn't work out like that. Now, they are in a really healthy position. They h aven't signed anybody in the last three windows so you'd think that they are ready to kick on.' Newcastle have made firm enquiries for Brighton 's Joao Pedro and Anthony Elanga of Nottingham Forest though any deal is unlikely in this, the first transfer window of the close-season. ‌ Keegan achieved a second and a third during his time in charge of the Magpies. Since then Sir Bobby Robson is the only man to go remotely close, albeit his charge towards the title ran out of breath back in the early 2000s. The iconic manager took charge at St James' Park and finished fourth and third in successive seasons as Newcastle made themselves a regular top four side. Howe again has the club back in that position with their resources meaning they're likely to stick around.
