TikTok Star Khaby Lame Detained By ICE, MAGA Influencer Claims Credit
Khaby Lame, the most-followed personality on the popular TikTok social media platform, was detained by ICE officials at the Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada, last Friday (June 6). According to ICE, Khaby Lame has since left the United States and has not made any public statements regarding the stop by the agency, and a MAGA influencer is claiming credit.
In a report from the AFP , Khaby Lame, 25, was detained by ICE at the airport, with officials citing immigration violation for the stop.
'US Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Seringe Khabane Lame, 25, a citizen of Italy, June 6, at the Harry Reid International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada for immigration violations,' according to a statement that spokespeople for ICE gave to the AFP .
Khaby Lame catapulted to fame on TikTok for his silent videos and trademark palms-up gesture at the camera, garnering Lame 16.2 million followers on the TikTok platform. Lame has also leveraged his TikTok fame to establish brand deals outside the platform.
Bo Loundon, a rising MAGA influencer whose feed is replete with attacks on anyone that he perceives as a threat to President Donald Trump's vision of America, claimed that he has worked alongside the Department of Homeland Security to have Lame detained.
'BREAKING: Far-left ILLEGAL ALIEN TikToker Khaby Lame was just ARRESTED and is now in ICE custody under President Trump,' Loudon tweeted on Friday. 'I discovered he was an illegal who overstayed an invalid VISA, evaded taxes, and I personally took action to have him deported. No one is above the law!'
Loudon also shared an X post sharing a similar statement to the one given to the AFP . However, it does not confirm an arrest, and Lame was granted voluntary departure on June 6. It does appear that Loudon's claim of an arrest was largely exaggerated. We also searched ICE's arrest database, and it did not turn up any results on Lame.

According to a social media post from Homeland Security Investigations in El Paso, the agency executed a search warrant at the Outlook Dairy Farms in Lovington on June 4, arresting 11 people accused of misuse of visas, permits or other documents. The owner of the dairy farm told the Albuquerque Journal that the people arrested provided him false paperwork and that, following an audit before the raid, he'd been required to fire 24 other workers at the farm. 'The individuals targeted in this raid are our neighbors, coworkers and friends, many of whom have lived here peacefully for years, contributing to our economy and enriching our culture,' Romano said. 'These enforcement actions do not make us safer.' The organization called on local and state leaders to demand transparency from Immigration and Customs Enforcement and to protect New Mexicans' rights regardless of immigration status. 'This recent raid reminds us that our communities must be aware of their rights. We must continue to empower ourselves to defend our dignity and demand justice for all New Mexicans.' The group shared a website it created explaining people's rights, regardless of immigration status, with information for victims of wage theft, along with dealing with ICE, Border Patrol and police at border checkpoints and elsewhere.

Los Angeles school officials say campuses will operate as normal amid immigration raids, violent protests
Violent protests over federal immigration raids erupted across the L.A. region over the weekend, and as the week begins and kids go back to school, Los Angeles school officials are looking to ease parents' concerns over ICE activity on campuses. All schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District are expected to operate as normal on Monday, the district said. There are just two days left in the school year. LAUSD released a statement on Monday morning saying that officials are 'aware of the stress, disruption and fear recent immigration activity has caused' in school communities. Attendance is said to have dropped since the raids began. 'We recognize the emotional toll this has taken on many of our students, families and staff, particularly in areas directly impacted by these events,' the statement reads. On June 6, LAUSD Superintendent Alberto Carvalho said he was 'dismayed' by the recent immigration activity occurring near schools; in April, Homeland Security agents tried to enter two LAUSD elementary schools but were denied entry by school administrators who were following district protocol. ICE agents were not involved in that incident, the district later confirmed. 'These actions are causing unnecessary fear, confusion and trauma for our students and families – many of whom are simply trying to get to and from school and work, and to live with dignity,' Carvalho said. 'Our schools must remain safe havens – places where every child can learn, grow and thrive without fear of being separated from their loved ones.' California Lieutenant Gov. Eleni Kounalakis insisted the ongoing anti-ICE riots happening in Los Angeles on Sunday were a direct result of President Donald Trump's actions. Riots broke out in Los Angeles on Friday and Saturday as immigration officials carried out raids to remove individuals illegally residing in the city. On Saturday, Trump deployed the National Guard to quell the violence, though California Gov. Gavin Newsom accused the president of simply wanting a "spectacle." Kounalakis, a Democrat, echoed Newsom's sentiment on "CNN Newsroom" by suggesting the demonstrations were peaceful and manageable before Trump was involved. Sen.
