U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli identified Elpidio Reyna as the suspect who was captured on video allegedly throwing rocks at federal officers in Paramount, California.
The FBI initially asked for the public's help by offering a $50,000 cash reward for information leading to the man's arrest. He was accused of injuring a federal officer after throwing rocks at law enforcement vehicles, according to the FBI.
Bondi was a guest on "Hannity" Monday night, when she broke the news to host Sean Hannity.

"The FBI has identified him," Bondi said. "That guy has just been identified, and they are doing a search warrant on his house, as we speak. And he has been identified…his name is [Reyna]. He is going to be on the Most Wanted list.

"He has been identified by the great police work by the FBI," she continued. "So, you can run, you can't hide. We are coming after you federally. If you assault a police officer, if you rob a store, if you loot, if you spit on police officers, we're coming after you."
Bondi told Hannity that federal authorities have the ability to go after looters and those throwing Molotov cocktails and committing other crimes under the Hobbs Act.
Those who loot a business in California, Bondi said, will face a maximum of 20 years in prison. Those who spit on federal law enforcement officers will also serve time.

"As President Trump said: 'You spit, we hit,'" Bondi said. "Get ready. If you spit on a federal law enforcement officer, we are going to charge you with a crime federally. You are looking at up to five years maximum in prison."
On Saturday at about 3:30 p.m., the now-identified suspect allegedly threw rocks at law enforcement vehicles on Alondra Blvd. in Paramount, California, resulting in injury to a federal officer and damage to government vehicles.

The FBI said in a wanted poster that the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
FBI Director Kash Patel warned Saturday night, "if you assault a law enforcement officer, you're going to jail—period."
"It doesn't matter where you came from, how you got here, or what cause you claim to represent," Patel told Fox News Digital. "If local jurisdictions won't stand behind the men and women who wear the badge, the FBI will."
Patel also issued similar warnings on social media.
"Doesn't matter where you came from, how you got here, or what movement speaks to you. If the local police force won't back our men and women on the thin blue line, we @FBI will," Patel wrote Saturday night on X.

Three MS-13 migrants who allegedly terrorized Nassau County were busted last week in a joint operation between ICE, local police and the FBI — and charged with a spate of violent crimes including 14 counts of attempted murder and 49 counts of assault, The Post has learned. The Aug. 8 arrests of the baby-faced gangbangers — two of whom sources say crossed into the US illegally during the Biden administration — was confirmed by Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, who vowed to keep supporting the feds in their immigration crackdown. 'As a result of a joint operation between the Nassau County Police Department and ICE, three alleged dangerous gang members charged with murder and other serious crimes were apprehended and are now incarcerated pending trial or deportation, making us an even safer county and region,' Blakeman told The Post in a statement. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has lodged immigration detainers against all three gang members, sources said. Since February, Nassau County has detained more than 1,400 illegal immigrants for ICE at Nassau County Correctional Center in partnership with the feds, even setting aside 50 cells in the facility specifically to hold migrants awaiting deportation, Blakeman announced earlier this year. Then during the Aug. 8 bust, he was slapped with dozens of additional charges including eight counts of attempted murder, first-degree assault with intent to cause serious injury with a weapon and first-degree gang assault causing serious injury, as well as a host of other robberies and assaults, according to sources. Also arrested was Edras Daniel Velasquez Giron, 19, an illegal alien from Honduras who illegally entered the US before June, 2022, the sources said. Fifteen months later, in September, 2023, a New York immigration judge ordered him removed to Honduras in absentia. After the joint operation, he was charged with six accounts of attempted murder, first-degree assault with intent to cause serious injury with a weapon, first-degree gang assault with intent to cause serious injury with a weapon and an additional 18 counts of assault and robberies, sources said. The third criminal migrant snagged during the joint operation was Jeffrey Bladimir Valladares Archaga, 20, from Honduras, who sources said entered the US unlawfully near Calexico, Calif. in 2022. Valladares Archaga is not facing any attempted murder or assault charges. So far, similar joint efforts between federal immigration authorities and local law enforcement have seen over 1,600 criminal aliens taken off the streets of Long Island, an ICE spokesperson told The Post.

New York state's headed deep into the red — but Albany will ‘rely' on denial
State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli just sounded a blaring alarm about the state's cash shortfall — but the rest of the state's leadership wants the fiscal crisis kept quiet. They all knew trouble was coming, but the Legislature left Albany for the year having given Gov. Kathy Hochul the power to cut as needed. That keeps the cutting out of the headlines, and (lawmakers hope) hangs any blame on the gov. She's asked state agencies to find $750 million in savings in the current-year budget. But next year, the nut jumps to $3 billion. Longer-term, per DiNapoli, the picture grows even more distressing: Albany is facing its worst cash shortfall, as a share of spending, since the Great Recession — with $34.3 billion in red ink through 2029. New York's 'softening economy' and preprogrammed 'spending growth' already guarantee a growing gap, he warns, and future 'drastic reductions in federal aid' may make the shortfall even worse than the comptroller now projects. So he urges 'policymakers' to 'put the fiscal health of the State on a more sustainable, structurally balanced path.' If only. For years, Hochul & Co. have OK'd billions in future spending, with nary a care about available cash: As DiNapoli reports, state-funded disbursements through 2029 are on course to soar 13.9% over current levels, while revenue ticks up just 4.6%. Nor will it be possible to jack up taxes to plug the hole, not without fueling a mad rush by high-earners and job-creators out of state: Hochul (and Gov. Andrew Cuomo before her) already goosed taxes to the hilt, making New York's tax burden the nation's highest. That's why the gov is on record opposing tax hikes — though that hasn't always stopped her from giving way to the Legislature's demands for 'revenue enhancements.' This warning may be the loudest DiNapoli offers for the next 16 months, as his fellow Democrats push him to collude with Hochul in denying that New York is staring at its worst budget crisis in years.

National Guard troops officially reported for duty in the nation's capital today, here to carry out President Donald Trump's order to address what he calls a 'crime emergency' in D.C. The president's shocking move that federalizes the city's Metropolitan Police Department has one big-name celebrity chef up in arms. José Andrés candidly condemned the president's unprecedented decision to send in the Army's National Guard to the same city where he opened his first restaurant, Jaleo, over 30 years ago. 'I'm proud to run a business and raise a family here,' wrote Andrés, in a Monday night social media post that's since gained over 50,000 likes. 'D.C. doesn't need federalized troops…it needs leaders who respect our fundamental founding principles of democracy, dignity, and respect.' During his White House press conference on Monday morning, Trump claims D.C. has been 'taken over by violent gangs and bloodthirsty criminals' as well as 'drugged out maniacs and homeless people.' D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser bit back hours later, saying crime 'isn't just down from 2023 — it's also down from 2019, before the pandemic,' and violent crime itself is at a 30-year low. The restaurant industry stood in solidarity with Andrés and his statement on Instagram, with supportive comments flowing in from Delaware's fine dining spot One Coastal and California chef Emily Brubaker, the recently crowned winner of NBC's 'Yes, Chef!' cooking show he hosted with Martha Stewart. The global humanitarian and cookbook author, whose namesake hospitality group currently runs over 30 restaurants around the globe, has a storied history with the Trump administration that goes back a decade ago. After the then-presidential candidate made inflammatory remarks about immigrants, the Spanish American chef pulled his planned restaurant inside his Trump International Hotel. Miami-born Pikio Taco, the hip Mexican spot located in Dupont's Generator hotel, is hosting a last-minute comedy show on Thursday, August 14 to benefit 'two local organizations who are doing critical work' in the space: Free DC Project and Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid Network. Free DC hosted an informational Zoom meeting at 10 a.m. today to talk about its grassroots campaign. Over 600 participants were split into breakout groups to brainstorm ways to galvanize communities in each of their D.C. wards. One popular plan is to distribute Free DC marketing materials to restaurants and other businesses that they can display inside and out. During his White House briefing on Monday, Trump tried to justify the federal takeover by reciting a metaphor his real estate-developer dad used to say. 'When you walk into a restaurant and you see a dirty front door, don't go in — because if the front door is dirty, the kitchen's dirty also. Same thing with [D.C.]. If our capital's dirty, our whole country is dirty.' The 800 troops in town were told they will be deployed here for about six weeks, until Thursday, September 25. The timing could not be worse for D.C.'s restaurant scene, which already experiences a slump in sales this time of year when many of its residents go on vacation. The troops will very much be on the streets during RAMW's bi-annual restaurant week (August 18-24), when more than 350 restaurants across D.C., Maryland, and Virginia offer prix fixe deals to boost business. It remains unclear how the National Guard's presence will impact parking and customers' desire to dine out.
