Loose Women star reveals tell-take sign someone 'won't last' on ITV show
Over the last quarter of a century, some 70 hosts have joined the Loose Women panel. Despite the longevity of the original "fab four" - Nadia Sawalha, Jane Moore, Karren Brady, and Kaye Adams - Kaye has hinted at a tell-tale sign that a new presenter might not stick around for long.
During her chat on Emily Dean's Walking The Dog podcast, Kaye, who has been a staple on the show during two stints from 1999 to 2006 and from 2013 onwards, emphasised the necessity for Loose Women presenters to be candid.
She confessed that although she isn't a natural "oversharer," anyone joining the show with intentions of keeping their lives under wraps is unlikely to be asked back.

Kaye remarked: "Over the years, and obviously it's been a long time, and people have come in and come out, and some people have stayed the course, and other people have been [on the show] for a shorter time.
"But there have been a few sort of names who have come in, and they sit down and say 'I can't talk about this, and I can't talk about that...' And the rest of us are probably sitting there thinking: ''Well, you're not going to last!'"
Furthermore, she pointed out that panellists who hold back their true opinions for the sake of privacy don't mesh well with the Loose Women style.

However Kaye, who became a mother comparatively late in life, reveals she might have been a bit too outspoken on certain matters: "I had Charley, my first daughter, when I was 39. And I did find the transition quite tough.
"Having spent most of my adult life doing exactly what I wanted, whenever I wanted, suddenly to be responsible for this little baby, I felt pinned down."
Kaye reflects on an instance where her frankness came back to haunt her when her daughter stumbled upon her past remarks: "I did regret that for a while," she says, adding, "But it was the truth."

Now that her daughter is a 22 year old adult, Kaye finds such revelations less problematic. Yet, it didn't stop cringing conversations happening when her child was eight.
These days, Kaye faces a different dilemma entirely. While chatting on Loose Women last Summer, she disclosed: "Bonnie has gone off to Edinburgh University - she won't thank me for saying that.
"Charley is now working so she's away as well. Second one out the house is tough, I have to say I am finding it difficult. The place is too tidy, we've got too much milk in the fridge - I don't know how we're going to stop the milk order."

"I did go on a few dates post Love Island," said Munveer. "I quickly realised that these aren't the type of girls that I want to be with long term. I eventually met my current girlfriend. "I found a lot of good qualities. We shared the same values and morals and that kind of stuff. Comes from good stock, good family. It just felt right. "Even though I wasn't expecting to jump into something, that connection felt genuine when I compare it to the other initial dates that I went on." Like many modern day love stories, Munveer and Maddie got to know each other through Instagram. She sent him a request and Munveer wasted no time sliding into her DMs. Sparks quickly flew but both parties approached the hard launch with caution. It wasn't until December that the private pair went Instagram official, and the joint posts since have been few and far between. Slowing things down went against Munveer's natural instincts. I think that's my kryptonite, my downfall." Unlike many villa romances, Munveer and Maddie aren't rushing to move in together even though they already spend plenty of time with one another. "We definitely talk about those things," says Munveer. "It's probably a bit too soon. There's been where she comes and doesn't leave for two or three weeks. The flat is literally upside down, which is always fun. "But I think long-term, you look at your potential partner and you want those things. To be able to live together, buy a house together, all the rest of it. I wouldn't go into something lightly without knowing these things." Before the pair settle down, there's triple dates to be had with Munveer's villa pals Sam Tyalor and Hugo Godfroy, both of whom are in relationships. 5 Munveer lasted 10 days in the villa last summer Credit: Rex 5 He was found himself in a friend couple with Patsy Field Credit: Rex "I was talking on WhatsApp and we're going to plan a little triple date in London at some point, which would be nice," says Munveer. It could have gone somewhere deeper in terms of connection, personality and that type of stuff. "But I just knew a part of me, there was something missing. I think that wasn't really shown because who wants to see that?" Not long after the show, Munveer returned to his work in recruitment, specifically the tech sector, which he now has a decade of experience in. But having had a taste of the Love Island life, he's craving more time in the public eye. "I've had a taste for it now and I feel like where I had it just taken away from me ever so quickly," he says. "I feel like I've got so much more to offer. I loved it. So if there's more opportunities out there, like your Made In Chelsea, The Traitors or wherever it is, I'm definitely up for it." 5 The couple aren't rushing into moving in together Credit: instagram/@munveerj

Popular TV channel shuts down for good tonight after 11 years in major shake-up
ITV has announced that it is shutting down the ITVBe channel - the home of reality and unscripted programmes - after 11 years, with ITV Quiz taking over the channel's slot A popular TV channel is shutting down for good today after 11 years on air as part of a major broadcast shake-up. ITVBe, which first launched in 2014, became the home of reality and unscripted shows such as The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE) and The Real Housewives franchise. Comedy fans have also enjoyed American favourites like Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend on the channel. However, after tonight, ITVBe will no longer exist, with its reality programmes set to move to a new home as part of a merger with ITV2. These shows will join other popular ITV2 staples such as Love Island and Big Brother, and will remain available from streaming on ITVX as announced earlier this year. ITVBe's channel slot will be replaced by ITV Quiz, which will feature a lineup of the TV network's quiz and game shows, the Mirror reports. The line-up will feature shows such as Wheel of Fortune, Tipping Point, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, Lingo, Tenable, Deal or No Deal, The 1% Club, Jeopardy! and Catchphrase. Meanwhile TOWIE - one of the most popular shows on ITVX - moves to ITV2, with a special 15th anniversary series set to air this autumn. This isn't the first time TOWIE has been broadcast on ITV2, the reality series originally premiered on the channel in 2010. It helped to launch the careers of Mark Wright, Joey Essex, Lucy Mecklenburgh, Sam Faiers and Dab Osborne. The show remained on ITV2 until 2014, when it transitioned to ITVBe becoming one of its flagship programmes. In its announcement earlier this year, ITV said: "ITV2 will now officially become the linear home of all of ITV's best-known reality series, as The Only Way is Essex, The Real Housewives of Cheshire and Real Housewives franchises from around the world move from ITVBe to the UK's most successful digital channel for 16-34s, in June 2025. "TOWIE and RHOCH join a rich schedule of returning formats, including Love Island and Big Brother, and exciting new commissions which are lined up throughout the remainder of 2025 on ITV2, and will continue to stream on ITVX. "The supercharged ITV2 offering also includes animated comedies (Family Guy) original commissions (G'Wed and Transaction) blockbuster movies and younger skewing factual entertainment, like Olivia Attwood's Price of Perfection, which are all also strong performers on ITVX." "Both Love Island and Big Brother are due to return in the Summer and Autumn months respectively, alongside a second series of Olivia Attwood's Bad Boyfriends, following its talked about debut series in 2024," the announcement continued. "The Only Way Is Essex will turn 15 meanwhile with a celebratory Autumn series. The move to ITV2 marks a homecoming for TOWIE as part of its 15th anniversary year, having initially debuted its first 12 series on ITV2." ITV stated that reality remains the most-watched genre on ITV2 and ITVX, with Love Island and its spin-offs being streamed 2.2 billion times, while Big Brother over 100 million and TOWIE hitting 66 million streams in the 12 months up to April, ITV said. The statement concluded: "As the flagship commissions move across to their ITV2 broadcast home, ITV will retire the ITVBe brand from its portfolio in June 2025. "ITV plans to use the channel slot as ITV Quiz, drawing on ITV's popular, market-leading UK quiz and game shows, and the success and learnings of ITVX FAST channels."
