Kerry Katona takes a brutal swipe at Brooklyn Beckham as she weighs in on nepotism row
In a joint interview with her best friend Katie Price, the reality star mothers weighed in on the nepotism debate as they discussed their hopes for their daughters to appear on Love Island.
Speaking about giving Heidi, 18, a leg up in the industry, Kerry shot down any claims of nepotism as she explained: 'Everyone talks about nepotism right, but everyone has a contact for somebody.
'I can open a door for you. Whether you get through that door and you stay through it, that's on your own f*****g merit.'
Taking a swipe at the eldest Beckham child she added: 'You don't see Brooklyn Beckham playing f*cking football, because he's s**t.'
Brooklyn, now 26, famously quit football after realising it would be 'difficult' to live up to his father David.
The budding chef, previously played in Arsenal's youth academy but decided to give up the sport when the club released him at 16.
Daily Mail have contacted both Kerry and Brooklyn's representatives for comment.
David, 50, has been hailed as one of the greatest midfielders of his generation and won 19 major trophies throughout his 20-year football career.
Speaking to Variety back in 2022, Brooklyn said his father 'wasn't sad' to see him give up the sport, despite it being his 'life' from a young age.
He said: 'My dad wasn't sad, because he was like, "I just want you to be happy." But of course I was sad. It was my whole life since I was literally two.
'To try and live up to what my dad did in football, I was just like, "that's going to be a bit difficult." '
Since abandoning his football career, Brooklyn has explored other avenues including cooking and photography.
As well as working with multiple brands he also launched his own hot sauce brand, Cloud 23, last year.
Weighing in on the nepo baby debate himself last year he admitted: 'Obviously I am one. But I couldn't help how I was born, at all.'
Speaking to Grazia magazine, he revealed that while he understands why the public can feel irked by nepo babies, Brooklyn said he tries to ignore the 'rubbish' people say rather than dwell on it.
He added: 'There's always going to be people that say rubbish. But as long as you do something that makes you happy and you're kind to people, that's all that matters.
'I'm always gonna get it, no matter what I do. And I'm fine with that. It makes me work harder, because I'm like, I'm gonna prove these people wrong.'
Speaking about his hot sauce brand he told Delish magazine: 'I did my research and I just felt like there was this hole in the market with luxury condiments, especially for a really good price.'
Explaining his move into condiments, he said, 'I've always been a foodie. I've always been lucky enough to travel to different places in the world with my mum and dad. Obviously my dad with football, we lived in Madrid, we lived in LA, Milan.
'Then Covid happened, I met my wife and started cooking for her and just fell in love with it. And now it's just something that just takes my mind off of things.'

Insiders have claimed that some of the stars are being paid up to £20,000 as an appearance fee and insisted that they will still receive payment in full, no matter what stage of the competition they actually reach. A source told The Sun: "Hannah Spearitt, Chloe Burrows and Tasha Ghouri will all have been paid over £10k - some as much as £20k - but unlike other reality shows, they do get paid if they pull out. So even though Hannah only lasted one minute, she'll still get paid over £10k for that minute." It comes after reports of all the celebrities rumoured to be joining BBC Strictly Come Dancing 2025. The source added that even though it can be 'embarrassing' for celebrities to quit so early, it is "well worth stars signing up even if they don't think they can complete the show just for the payday - it might be embarrassing taking their armband off early in the show, but it's good money!' Hannah who shot to fame as part of S Club 7 before going on to an acting career with roles in shows such as Primeval and EastEnders, was seen struggling. She was sitting on the way to a mission when she told her fellow recruits that she was 'feeling faint'. And just moments later, it was confirmed that the Reach singer had become the first to leave the course as her co-stars speculated that she had suffered a panic attack. He initially told the cameras as part of his own confessional segment: "If there was a world war and they decided they were gonna call everyone up, would I be the first to jump up and say 'Yes me?' Being surrounded my thousands of soldiers, I might just jump at it. I'd be the home guard like on Dad's Army. We'll have a gay Dad's Army. Honestly, they wouldn't wanna mess with the gays!" But, despite his confidence, just moments later, Chris Fox described the group's effort as "abysmal" after the latest task. He reminded the recruits to think about why they were there and suggested they take things "seriously". Louie piped up: "I wanna do an immediate withdrawal. I just don't have the conviction and I feel as though I'm not dedicated enough," he said as he removed his armband. Chris gave him the chance to put his arm band back on, but Louie refused, so Chris said: "Get your kit." In a previously-filmed confessional, Louie, 56, had said: "I'm a survivor, I would keep battling to survive. I think the worst way for me to leave the course would be to choose to leave. That would really p*** me off," but just seconds later, it was confirmed that he had indeed quit the show." And following their exits, Chloe took to Instagram to rant about why she had quit as she said: ""I was f*****g exhausted and wanted my own bed and a cuddle from my mum. Forgive a girl for being so naive, but jumping at opportunities I'd never thought possible," whilst Tasha is yet to address her exit.

The former tennis player competed on the 21st series of Strictly with her professional partner Johannes Radebe. Now, Annabel is hitting the road for a 28-date tour across England, Scotland and Wales. Her debut tour, which is titled From Tennis Balls to Glitter Balls, begins next month, and will take audiences behind the scenes of the world's greatest tennis tournaments, as well as exploring Annabel's time on Strictly. The fortune belonged to a glamorous benefactor known only as 'The Deceased', (played by Elizabeth) who has left video messages for the players from beyond the grave. To release money from 'The Inheritance', the players must work as a team to complete a series of challenges – and in similar vein to The Traitors; the better they perform, the more money is released, and the bigger the prize pot. But The Deceased had one condition: to win the game they must persuade all others that only they should be entrusted with the money. The event comes after Billy Ray continued to enjoy his first UK summer at Elizabeth's £6m country pile on Wednesday. The pair's relationship began following his divorce from Firerose - and his third marriage. He had met Elizabeth on set of the 2022 movie Christmas In Paradise and as he was navigating through the split, he received a message from Liz. 'I felt like, "Wow, can life get any harder?
