4 zodiac signs most affected by 2025 Mercury retrograde

Yahoo14-03-2025

The first Mercury retrograde of 2025 is upon us.
The planet of the mind and the mouth, thought and expression, Mercury begins its retrograde on Saturday, March 15, in the heat-seeking sign of Aries before slipping into the power poet bird bath of Pisces on March 29. Mercury stations direct on April 7 and finally clears its post retrograde shadow, or retroshade, on April 26.
March en masse is a bit of a hell mouth as we're in the eclipse corridor while grappling with a relationship-rocking Venus retrograde and a brain-breaking Mercury retrograde.
Mercury is a personal planet, meaning its movements affect us more acutely. As above, so below, so to speak. While everyone will feel the effects of this retrograde, four signs will be hit the hardest.
Shedding a light and coming correct with survival strategies is Ashley Boyd, astrologer and success coach at Gamblizard.
Read for your sun and rising signs.
Mercury begins its retrograde in Aries, highlighting the first house of self-concept, confidence and communication for the people of the ram.
'This retrograde might hit them hard with doubt, nostalgia for the 'good old days,' and surprise encounters from the past,' Boyd tells The Post. 'But beneath the chaos lies an opportunity for Aries to gain major personal insights on whether they're building themselves up or tearing themselves down.'
Survival strategy: To determine whether you're creating or destroying, Boyd recommends, 'Pause and reflect. Take an honest look at how you speak to and about yourself and present to the world. To increase your self-knowledge, journal, go to therapy, practice mindfulness — whatever helps you hear your thoughts without distractions.'
The latter part of this retrograde (March 29- April 7) falls in the sign of Pisces, putting added pressure on fish folk.
'This shift can stir up old wounds and blur the line between fantasy and reality. With Mercury and Venus in retrograde, uncertainty and people-pleasing could take center stage, making it easy to question self-worth,' said Boyd.
She notes that the spring equinox's reset energy, combined with the catalyst of the March 29 solar eclipse, will push Piscesans towards financial stability and a vital new relationship with wealth and worth.
Survival strategy: To make sense of these shifting winds, Boyd urges Pisces people to express and assess,
'Vent to a friend, have a good cry, or channel feelings into creativity. If you've been undervaluing yourself, make a list of your strengths and accomplishments as a reminder. Set boundaries by practicing saying 'no' (you can start with low-stakes situations). Look closely at your income, spending, and financial goals and seek expert advice before making big moves.'
In addition to the second half of Mercury retrograde falling in a fellow mutable sign, Virgo is ruled by Mercury and thus more sensitive to its antics. Add to the star soup that the March 14 lunar eclipse falls in their sign.
'Detail-obsessed and order-driven, they may find work, routines, and social interactions thrown into chaos this month. It may seem like everything is testing patience and adaptability. And with Venus retrograde still going strong, the unexpected is practically a guarantee,' shared Boyd.
Go with the flow feels like a trite prescription for this retrograde, so I'll offer a more poetic incarnation of the same advice, courtesy of fellow Virgo and late Canadian luminary Leonard Cohen: 'If you don't become the ocean, you'll be seasick every day.'
Survival strategy: 'Instead of spiraling over disruptions, note what's working and what's not. If overwhelmed, reassess priorities and delegate where possible,' Boyd told The Post. 'This retrograde is a reality check, urging Virgos to release and rethink their approach to problem-solving, and accept that not every mess is theirs to clean up.'
Mercury rules Gemini, making the planet's retrograde a tough tittie for this ilk.
'As Mercury's home sign, Gemini always feels its retrogrades intensely, and this one is no exception. The full picture becomes fractured and harder to see, leading to stubborn communication impasses and rushed decisions. What's more, navigating emotions can feel harder than ever,' said Boyd.
Survival strategy: Clear and compassionate communication is always the aim, but under the influence of these transits they mark the line between rifts and resolution.
Boyd shared, 'Don't expect people to read your mind and don't let frustration cloud your judgment. If something feels off, speak up before a small misunderstanding becomes something more. Luck will be on your side if you stay adaptable and open to learning.'
Every challenge is a chance, folks, and every eye roll is an opportunity.

Venus square Pluto is a time of betrayals, ghosting and breakups — be prepared

On Monday, June 9th, Venus — our planet of love and attachment — forms a charged and challenging square with Pluto, our power planet of sex, death and transformation. It's a yikes moment, folks and while the square is exact on June 9th, we'll be feeling the effects of this friction for several days before and after. Venus is currently frolicking through the pleasured pastures of Taurus, where the planet is at home and encouraging us to seek the beautiful and the stable. Meanwhile, Pluto is retrograding through the weirder-than-a-box-of-hair, revolution over romance, and progress at all costs, sign of Aquarius, in effect revealing where beauty is deceptive and stability stifling. A square aspect forms when two planets are three zodiac signs apart, or separated by roughly 90 degrees. This creates a tug of war between the themes and energies of each. Venus rules relationships, and Pluto lords over power struggles and repressed impulses. In kind and conflict, when these two luminaries square off, issues are brought to the surface, and controlling, jealous, possessive, and manipulative behaviors exhibit themselves — often to an explosive degree. As Pluto relates to the buried and/or the exiled, these patterns are often born from deep insecurity and fear of being abandoned, betrayed or unappreciated. During a Venus square Pluto transit, we may feel attacked, confined or undermined in our closest relationships. Bear in mind that the goal here is not punishment, but growth — and sometimes the two feel more kindred than we'd like. Squares naturally foster conflicts, struggle, tension and drama. Pluto is a planet of extremes, and this transit could trigger ultimatums, discord, ghosting, and precipice moments, particularly if a partner or friend feels controlled or coerced. Unhealthy relationships are likely to reach a literal and decidedly dramatic breaking point during this transit. At the same time, more fortifying bonds will endure, but the dynamic could shift in ways that support the independence and well-being of both partners. The ethos of Pluto is transformation through trauma, so trust that however painful, whatever burns down, blows up or falls apart, is in service of meaningful, progressive change. Beware of instant attractions and rapid relationships that begin during this transit, as they will likely be characterized by obsessive attachment and an intense destabilizing chemistry. Tarot reader and psychic astrologer Christian Dixie says folks should beware not just of volatility and fractures in love relationships but with friends and energy vampires alike. 'I'm really feeling friendship betrayals on a deep level, and this could be financially because of Venus in Taurus. Friends will be revealed to be liabilities more than they are assets,' Dixie said. However, he maintains that painful revelations will ultimately lead to overdue endings and healthier dynamics. 'I won't be surprised if there are friendship breakups during this transit. The friends we think have added value to our lives but are subtracting from our lives will be revealed, people who feel entitled to drain you of your time and energy.' Dixie noted that friends who exhibit clingy or possessive behaviors should be eyed with extreme caution and perhaps given a compassionate dismissal. Bear in mind, my babies, our losses do not make us less — and every ending is sewn with the seeds of what's to come. Because this square is squaring in a fixed sign, the fixed signs; Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aqaurius will feel the effects of this transit most acutely. Long Island firefighter who heroically saved Torah from fire brushes off praise: ‘I'm no hero'

The Long Island firefighter who saved a sacred Sefer Torah from a burning Chabad on Wednesday said he was no 'super hero' and was just doing what he was trained to do. Firefighter Michael Farca, 54, was compared to a Hollywood action star by Greenvale residents for his heroic and holy rescue — but insists he was simply in the right place at the right time. 'I'm no hero,' Farca told The Post. 3 A sacred Sefer Torah was saved from a fire that happened inside a synagogue in Greenvale on Wednesday. Google Maps 'I saw the Torah inside and knew I had to get it out. That's it. The 70 other first responders who were there alongside me deserve just as much praise as I'm getting.' Farca, of Roslyn Heights, ran into the smoke-filled building as flames raged inside to make sure no one was inside and that is when he saw the Torah. Moments later, after clearing the building, he emerged out of the smoke holding the sacred scroll — a dramatic scene that brought some faithful witnesses to tears. Farca — who is Jewish — said he responded to the call as he would've any other, completely unaware that the building he was headed to was a synagogue. After breaking through the door in the Greenvale strip mall, Farca was caught by surprise as he realized that he was inside a house of worship — spotting the ark where the scroll is usually stored. 3 Firefighter Michael Farca, 54, from Roslyn Heights, came to the rescue to save the Torah from being burned, as he told The Post, 'I saw the Torah inside and knew I had to get it out. That's it.' Chabad of Greenvale 3 The Torah that was saved by Farca. Igor Shamalov 'I ran up to the ark and opened it to see if the Torah was in there, and sure enough, there it was,' Farca said. 'I embraced it, and took it outside.' Farca described the feeling of saving the Torah that morning as 'remarkable,' especially because the rescue came just a day after the Jewish holiday of Shavuot, which celebrates the giving of the Torah on Mount Sinai 3,000 years ago. 'To think that we're celebrating the Torah on Mount Sinai 3,000 years ago, and here I have a Torah in front of me that is in danger of damage or worse — it's an incredible thing,' Farca said. The sacred scroll was ultimately returned to members of the Chabad completely unscathed — though the building is no longer being operational. 'The Torah is more than a book, it's our heart and soul,' congregant Yuriy Davydov said. 'Seeing it carried out safely felt like a miracle.' But the message that Farca wants people to take away is that he is just a regular first responder, and that anybody can make an impact if they choose. 'My hope, really, is that I've inspired someone, I would like to inspire them to get up and do something for their community,' he said. 'I want people to do something selfless that allows them to give back to their community, to their neighbor, to whomever, in a selfless manner.'
