The Blue Samphire and Cassis perfume had cost £8 for a 100ml bottle

But one of the perfumes in its range is no longer available in stores, much to the dismay of a customer who had been trying to stock up.
They wrote on X: "Oh M&S please don't say this has been discontinued? Blue samphire and cassis perfume, I love it."
The supermarket then responded: "Hi Amanda, I'm sorry to say this has now been discontinued. Our Beauty Team have instead suggested the new Warm Bergamot, which you might like".
The Blue Samphire and Cassis perfume had come in a 100ml bottle and sold for £8.
It was described on the M&S website as a "unique, heady fragrance" that "brings together samphire's wild, ocean-inspired scent and the sweet, berry notes of cassis".
The scent came in a deep blue glass bottle.
Although the perfume is no longer available at M&S, it is currently selling on eBay for £29.95 - much more than its original retail price.
Shoppers can still get their hands on other popular perfumes in the supermarket's range, though.
For £8, you can also get the Pink Pepper scene which is described as "fresh, uplifting and feel-good".
The description reads: "Vibrant orange blossom mingles with floral pink pepper and intoxicating jasmine, all layered over a sweet base of patchouli, vanilla and amber musks."
We tested M&S' popular perfume dupes plus the £10 scent we preferred to the Jo Malone original
Shoppers say it is a great dupe for Lancome's La Vie est Belle, which costs £97 for a 50ml bottle.
There is also Sweet Pistachio, which has notes of pistachio, tuberose and warm tonka bean.
It's said to have "soft, nutty notes with a touch of floral sweetness".
This one is widely considered to be a dupe for Huda Beauty's Kayali Yum Pistachio Gelato, which costs £79.
Meanwhile Fresh Mandarin has a zingy citrus scent, with notes of fruity cassis, orange flower and mandarin.
M&S says: "This develops into a floral heart of jasmine, rose and ylang ylang with the sweetness of tonka bean, rounded off with a creamy amber, vanilla and sandalwood base."
Best perfumes from M&S
M&S has now become one of the high street's coolest retailers.
Fabulous' Beauty Writer, Mia Lyndon, tried and tested the latest perfumes from Marks and Spencer.
"This summer, M&S introduced several new beauty brands to its shelves and extended its own-label offerings, meaning it's becoming one of the best beauty retailers on the high street.
And the new Provenance perfumes piqued my interest; starring seven fragrances from earthy sandalwood to sugary rose - they're some of the best-value fragrances I've reviewed this year.
Costing just £16 each, here are my favourite perfumes from the new collection..."
Provenance No.1 Citrus Soleil Eau de Parfum Set
Sugary, sticky and fresh, Citrus Soleil smells like a mouthful of boiled sweets with sparkling notes of lemon peel and orange blossom. It gives you an instant hit of sunshine.
Provenance No.2 Neroli Blush Eau de Parfum Set
Crisp and floral, Neroli Blush smells like fresh laundry and powdery pink musk. With sumptuous notes of jasmine with tangy grapefruit, it's perfect for hunkering down this autumn/winter.
Provenance No.3 Coastal Breeze Eau de Parfum Set
Coastal breeze smells like the first breath of morning air. It's totally unisex, it stars seaweed and crisp white musk, striking a balance between sweet and cool.
You can read the full article, where Mia shares her thoughts on every perfume in the collection - here.
It comes as M&S is dealing with a major cyber attack that has left it unable to take orders on both its website and app.
The incident began a week ago when customers were unable to use contactless payments in store or pick up click-and-collect orders.
On Friday, the supermarket said it was halting taking online orders as part of its "proactive management of the incident".
It said it was "working extremely hard" to restore its online operations and that stores remain open and ready to serve customers.
The full product range is still available to browse online and it's understood shoppers can still get the M&S range through the Ocado website as normal.

Among those set to close is its store in Chard, which announced in a Facebook post that it will be closing for good on September 7. The post told customers: 'We are sorry to let you know… This store is closing. Thank you to our wonderful colleagues for your support throughout our time here in the local community.' The shop has launched a huge closing down sale, with all items now 50% off. Customers have taken to social media to share their disappointment that the store is set to close. One customer said: 'So sorry to hear that you are closing, you are all great staff, you all helped me when I was not very well in your shop thank you all again xx.' Another said: 'Shame to hear, great bunch of staff always happy and helpful.' A third added: 'What a shame, sorry to hear this.' Two other stores have also announced they will be closing. One of them is the shop in Whitchurch, Shropshire, which will close its doors for good in the coming weeks. In a post on its Facebook page it said: 'We're sadly closing our doors, but that means big savings for you. 'All stock is reduced to clear - grab up to 50% off the original price.' Devastated customers also commented on the post, as one said: 'Thank you so much for your service throughout the 11 years we've lived in Whitchurch. The store in Market Drayton, Shropshire will also shut its doors for the last time on September 20. Plus The Original Factory Shop in Nairn, Scotland, has also been earmarked for closure. In total, 26 shops have closed or are set to shut this year. The Original Factory Shop did not respond to our request for comment. What is happening at TOFS? The Original Factory Shop was bought by Modella Capital, a private equity firm, in February. Modella is known for taking on struggling retailers and has also recently bought Hobbycraft and WHSmith's high street shops. The firm quickly launched a restructuring effort to renegotiate rents at 88 The Original Factory Shop stores. At the end of April, Modella drew up plans to initiate a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) for the retailer. Companies often use CVAs to avoid insolvency, which could otherwise force stores to close or trigger the collapse of the entire business. They allow firms to explore different options, such as negotiating reduced rents with landlords. But The Original Factory Shop previously told The Press and Journal that a 'number of loss-making stores would have to close' in the restructuring. Do you have a money problem that needs sorting? Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) THOUSANDS on Universal Credit and other benefits will receive an unexpected payment in their bank accounts this coming week. Any benefit payments due on a public holiday are paid the first working day before. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 Thousands on Universal Credit and other benefits can expect early payments this week Credit: Alamy And because they are not usually transferred into bank accounts over the weekend, anyone expecting one on August 25 will receive it on Friday (August 22) instead. While payment dates will change this coming weekend, the amount you receive shouldn't, unless you've had a change in circumstances. Remember, if you are paid early, you'll have to make any benefit amounts last longer than usual. So make sure you budget so as not to run out of money before your next payment. If you are expecting an early payment and don't get it, double-check the date you are usually paid and contact your bank. Should you need further help, you should contact the DWP. You can also file a complaint with the DWP regarding any unpaid benefits. You can go to for more information. Payments aren't just being made early this month, but in December as well. If you are expecting a payment on December 25 or 26, it will be paid on December 24 - Christmas Eve. OTHER BENEFITS NEWS Thousands of households on old-style legacy benefits are being moved to Universal Credit via Managed Migration. The whole process is expected to be finished by 2026 after it officially began in July 2022 following a successful pilot. Households receiving one of a number of legacy benefits have been receiving letters outlining what they need to do to move across to Universal Credit. Upon receiving a migration letter, claimants are given up to three months to make the switch. Fail to do this and it could lead to you losing access to your current benefits. The DWP has already closed new claims for four legacy benefits - tax credits, income support, income-based jobseeker's allowance, and housing benefit. Households still receiving income-related employment and support allowance (ESA) are now being urged to make the move to Universal Credit. ESA provides financial support for those unable to work due to illness or disability. Initially, the government planned to transfer all ESA claimants to Universal Credit by the end of 2028. However, this deadline has since been brought forward to March 2026. Meanwhile, households on benefits like Universal Credit might be eligible for free cash via the Household Support Fund (HSF). Plus, a record 8million people are now claiming Universal Credit, the latest figures reveal. Are you missing out on benefits?
