Harry Potter's Miriam Margolyes ‘doesn't have long to live'
One of her most beloved parts was her turn as Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter film series which saw her character tackle Mandrakes.
Ms Margolyes has issued a sad update whilst speaking to The Times, claiming that she "doesn't have long to live".

The 84-year-old said: "When you know that you haven't got long to live – and I'm probably going to die within the next five or six years, if not before, I'm loath to leave behind performing. It's such a joy.
"I yearn to play roles that don't confine me to wheelchairs, but I'm just not strong enough.'
Following years of living with spinal stenosis, the actress underwent major heart surgery back in 2023.
Ms Margolyes opened up about these health struggles during a recent guest appearance on Jessie and Lennie Ware's Table Manners podcast.

"I've got a cow's heart now,' she said.
"Well, not the whole heart. I've had an aortic valve replaced by a cow's aortic valve.
"I don't know how common it is. I'd never heard of that operation. But it saves you from having open heart surgery, which would be infinitely more invasive."

A Harry Potter event, that saw celebrities such as Jude Law and Eddie Redmayne attend has been permanently cancelled. Traditionally, hundreds of fans gather in fancy dress at Kings Cross to recreate the scene of students pushing through the wall to the hidden Platform 9 and 3/4 where the Hogwarts Express waits. The Back to Hogwarts tradition, which celebrates the start of each academic year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry every September 1, has previously involved the train service being displayed on departure boards. Last year Warner Brothers Discovery announced the cancellation of the public event and have now confirmed the event will also be cancelled this year. A statement released in July on the Wizarding World website advised fans to stay away from Kings Cross. It read: 'Special Hogwarts notice: alas, we must once again discourage fans from attending King's Cross Station on 1st September, as there will be no countdown or train announcement occurring in 2025. Safety first, folks.' A spokesperson confirmed to The Sun: 'It is the same for this year, in that we won't be hosting the event at the station.' There will however be a screening of the fourth Harry Potter film at Cineworld Leicester Square with actors James and Oliver Phelps hosting a Q&A. Last month, it was revealed the Wightwick Hall steam locomotive is on track for worldwide fame as it has been selected to feature as the Hogwarts Express in the upcoming Harry Potter TV series. The locomotive, which has been beautifully restored over 41 years by volunteers, will transport the wizard from platform 9 and 3/4 at London's King's Cross station to the school of magic. The Wightwick Hall was built in 1948. It travelled 640,000 miles with the Great Western Railway before being withdrawn in 1964 and sold to a scrapyard in Barry, South Wales. In 1978 it was bought for £9,180 by volunteers from Buckinghamshire Railway Centre in Quainton who restored it. The loco is now on long-term loan to the Bluebell Railway in West Sussex. The Wightwick Hall will spend six months a year filming for the HBO series for the next eight years. It will run at the tourist attraction in between shoots. Filming for the latest adaptation of JK Rowling's novels will begin this month and the show is due to air next year. Dominic McLaughlin, 11, has landed the role of Harry Potter while Arabella Stanton, 11, will play Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout, 11, will star as Ron Weasley. In the films, released between 2001 and 2011, the Olton Hall engine – now at the Warner Bros Studio Tour near Watford – starred as the Hogwarts Express. Filming for the series began in May, with cast and crew seen setting up on the Île de Sein off the coast of Brittany, France.

Oasis fan dies at Wembley stadium show after plunging from top tier
Other shows at the 90,000 capacity stadium are going ahead as planned. An Oasis fan tragically plunged to his death at the band's sold-out concert in Wembley Stadium last night as witnesses described the "horrific" scene, The Mirror reports. The man, in his 40s, is believed to have been sat in the upper tier of the 90,000 capacity stadium when he fell. Emergency services rushed to the man but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The Met Police confirmed officers rushed to reports of an injured person at 10.19pm, towards the end of the band's reunion gig. Police added that officers at Wembley found the man with "injuries consistent with a fall". And the force has urged any witnesses and concertgoers with information about the tragedy to reach out to The Met. A horrified concertgoer took to Facebook to share their account of the tragic moment. They wrote: "Did anyone else see the guy drop from the upper tier last night." Another Oasis fan responded, saying they had a "panic attack" after they witnessed the tragic moment. They said: "I was block 502 row 32. I have never felt so sick in my life. I got to my seat and had a full blown panic attack which has never happened before. "I was shaking and crying. I was so scared to get down and have to go back up as it was such a high demand show. But with the state I was in, Wembley moved me to block 501 row 8. Still high up but no where near as steep. I was so grateful." Another concertgoer, in a lower tier, described seeing emergency crews rush to the spot where the fan hit concrete after the plunge. She wrote: "I was directly underneath in section 211. "At first glance I thought it was a coat falling from the above tier but then I looked and saw the bloke on the concrete. It was horrific to see." A Wembley Stadium spokesperson said: "Last night, Wembley Stadium medics, the London Ambulance Service and the police attended to a concert goer who was found with injuries consistent with a fall. Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died. "Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers. The Police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them. "Tonight's Oasis concert will go ahead as planned." Noel and Liam Gallagher's band have paid tribute to their late fans, saying in a statement they were "shocked and saddened" to hear the tragic news. In a statement today, the Metropolitan Police confirmed a man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene after sustaining "injuries consistent with a fall".
