‘Angry' Aamir Khan went silent on Zabardast sets after Amrish Puri scolded him: ‘Mujhe bada bura laga, I was doing my work'
Recalling the incident involving Amrish Puri, Aamir said, 'I was very sharp in continuity. There was a shot in which he was forgetting his lines and continuity. Unka haath telephone par hona tha. Hence, he was getting a bit irritated, it happens.'
The actor added, 'I used to point out that his hand needs to be on the phone. He was forgetting the continuity each time, so after a few rehearsals and takes, he said, 'Haan haan pata hai, haath phone par, baar baar bolrahe ho.' His voice was heavy, like a motorcycle, khat khat khat khat!'
Aamir Khan went silent on the set after the incident. 'I am not able to speak in that bass. When he scolded me harshly, there was pin drop silence on the set. Everyone's eyes were on me. Mujhe bada bura laga aur gussa bhi aaya. I was doing my work and telling the right thing, why am I getting scolded for that? Main chup hokar baith gaya,' he shared.
However, Amrish Puri later apologised after Nasir Hussain's wise response. 'There was silence on the set for 5-7 seconds. After that, Nasir sahab ki awaaz aayi. He didn't want to disturb the actor. There was a shot pending and he couldn't even resist the fact that his assistant got scolded by him. He said, 'Amrish ji, I told my assistant that even if the actor scolds you, vo apna kaam karein. Amrish ji instantly said, 'Sorry beta,'' he concluded.

‘Aamir Khan-Reena Dutta's love was pure; he gave me Rs 30K job when no one employed me': What Faissal Khan said about superstar brother
Aamir Khan's younger brother Faissal Khan's recent shocking claims about the actor and his family have stirred a storm. The former actor had cast aspersions about his family, including Aamir, which made the family release a signed statement dismissing his claims as 'misleading and distressful'. However, in the same interview to Pinkvilla, Faissal spoke about being close with Aamir's first wife Reena Dutta and said that the love Aamir and she shared was 'pure'. He went on to say that the superstar was devastated after their marriage ended. He also revealed that the Dangal actor was in a 'live-in' relationship with his ex-wife Kiran Rao before tying the knot. When the host asked him about his bond with Aamir, the actor said, 'I was very close to him. There was a time when Aamir got married to Reena, only I knew in the entire family and no one else. He was very nice to me even when I was locked up, he was caring.' Faissal Khan has claimed that Aamir Khan 'caged' him for a year at his home in Mumbai after he was diagnosed with schizophrenia. He restricted his freedom with bodyguards outside his room, and gave him forced medication by alleging that he was mentally unstable. His claims have been dismissed by the family who say that all decisions for Faissal were taken under medical guidance. In the interview, Faissal said about his brother, 'I understood that Aamir is just a front, islie aaj bhi unke lie mere dil mein aisa kuch nahi hai. I love Aamir, I respect him. I don't even have any grudges against my family, we are all back together. Past is the past, we celebrate birthdays and functions now.' ALSO READ | Aamir Khan, family issue statement dismissing brother Faisal Khan's claim he was 'locked up': 'Distressed by hurtful portrayal of mother, sister…' He admitted Aamir eventually helped him get a job as well. 'Aamir has been helpful to me, he even gave me a job as a script doctor when I wanted to get back. I told him that no one was ready to give my any work, everyone thought I am mad. It was a Rs 30K job, he only helped me. He is such a positive and sensible person.' Faissal now lives on a monthly allowance paid to him by Aamir, and resides in one of the apartments owned by Aamir in the Pali Hill complex in Mumbai. Faissal Khan said he shared a close relationship with his first wife Reena Dutta. 'Reena ke saath mera bahut acha tha, she has always been very nice to me. She is a lovely lady. It was sad that they broke up. He was shattered. She was with him when he was nothing, so she didn't have any ulterior motive ki yeh Aamir Khan hai, vo bana baad mein, pehle Reena aayi thi. You understand that the love is pure. Baaki sab jo horaha hai vo toh theek hai. Reena is a very sensible person. I am very fond of her and I respect her a lot,' he revealed. However, he never spoke that much to Aamir Khan's second wife Kiran Rao. 'I don't know her that well. I never spent time or interacted with her on any level. I don't know her at all, to even comment on her. She also doesn't know me much, vo mauka hi nahi mila. She was living with Aamir for two years before getting married in 2005. They both were busy with their work and I was locked in the house. I had left in 2006, meri apni struggle thi. Never got the time to understand her,' he concluded. 'We are distressed by Faissal's hurtful and misleading portrayal of his mother Zeenat Tahir Husain, his sister Nikhat Hegde, and his brother Aamir. As this is not the first time he has misrepresented these events, we feel it necessary to clarify our intentions, and reaffirm our solidarity as a family. It is important to share that every choice regarding Faissal has been taken collectively as a family, in consultation with multiple medical professionals, and has been based on love, compassion, and a desire to support his emotional and psychological wellbeing. For this reason, we have refrained from publicly discussing the details of a painful and difficult period for our family. We request the media for empathy, and to refrain from turning a private matter into salacious, inflammatory and hurtful gossip. The statement was signed by Reena Datta, Junaid Khan, Ira Khan, Farhat Datta, Rajiv Datta, Kiran Rao, Santosh Hegde, Seher Hegde, Mansoor Khan, Nuzhat Khan, Imran Khan, Tina Fonseca, Zayn Marie Khan, and Pablo Khan.

Coolie: Rajinikanth says Aamir Khan stands tall among Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, 'Just like Kamal Haasan...'
Rajinikanth is all set to blaze the screens with his 171st film, Coolie, this weekend. Like every big South film, the makers organised a grand pre-release event for Coolie on August 11 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, in the presence of entire star cast. Rajinikanth talked about his experience of working with director Lokesh Kanagaraj and the whole star cast, with a special mention of Aamir Khan. The Superstar revealed what he initially thought when Lokesh told him about offering a cameo role to Bollywood Superstar Aamir Khan. Rajinikanth took a humorous jibe at Aamir Khan's work culture, saying that Aamir is a perfectionist and will take two years to come on board. Further, he compared the Sitaare Zameen Par actor to Kamal Haasan and said, "Just like Kamal Haasan here (Tamil Nadu), North has Aamir Khan." Rajini went on to salute Aamir Khan and called him the best among the three Khans of Bollywood. "On one side, you have Salman Khan, on the other side, Shah Rukh Khan, and among them stands tall Aamir Khan. What a legend you are, Salute, sir," added Rajinikanth. The Superstar talked about each actor one after another and concluded by saying, "After seeing the whole star cast, I even forgot the story." Aamir Khan reveals signing Coolie without hearing any narration When Aamir Khan went to the stage, he revealed signing the movie only for Rajinikanth, that too, without hearing the script. The Dangal actor recalled his first meeting with Lokesh Kanagaraj and said, "Lokesh came to meet me. I didn't know why he was coming to meet me. He said, 'It's for Coolie. I want you to do a role in the film.' The moment I got to know it's Coolie and Rajini Sir's film. After many, many years, probably for the first time, I have said yes to a film without hearing the script, without hearing anything." For the unversed, Coolie also stars Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, and others. The movie is slated to hit the screens this weekend, in a clash with Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR's War 2. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates.
