Oleksandr Usyk reveals his name for punch which knocked out Daniel Dubois
Oleksandr Usyk took the IBF belt off Daniel Dubois with a devastating knockout at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night - and the Ukrainian said he owed it all to "Ivan" Daniel Dubois was on the receiving end of "Ivan" at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night. Oleksandr Usyk knocked Dubois out to become the three-time undisputed heavyweight champion. Dubois, 27, suffered his third career defeat - and his second against Usyk - as he surrendered the IBF heavyweight crown to the Ukrainian. Usyk claimed the 24th win of his glittering career and his seventh consecutive triumph over British fighters. He reclaimed the IBF title to add to his WBA, WBO, and WBC belts - and said he owed it all to Ivan. 'Listen, we prepare for this fight with my team. We learn from first fight, we have a long time, two years, and we prepare a combination. You know the punch is named 'Ivan',' Usyk revealed. 'Left hook? A hook is like this (gesture), that is Ivan. It is Ukrainian name. Ivan is you know a big guy, who lives in a village, he is Kozak, you say, 'what is your name?' And he says, 'my name is Ivan,'. 'Yeah, it is a hard, hard punch, Ivan. It is a long time. Maybe first time is 2018? Yeah, first time. It was USA in cruiserweight. 'Now I want to go back home, now I want to do a choice over what next. I will continue in boxing, I will continue in training, but now I cannot say who next.' Asked if he thought of himself as one of the best of all time, Usyk replied: 'Ha, no. For me, UK is like a second home because this I take all my trophy. European (amateur) champion (in Liverpool), London 2012, Tony Bellew, Dereck Chisora, Anthony Joshua, three-time undisputed Dubois, I am very grateful for this country.' Dubois said: 'I have to commend him on his performance. I gave everything I had, probably a few things I could have sharpened up on, but take no credit away from the man. 'I was just fighting, I was in a fight and trying to pick up round by round. It is what it is, but I'll be back. I want to thank everyone for coming out. I gave my best, we'll go back to the drawing board and come again.' Dubois' promoter, Frank Warren, lavished praise on Usyk, saying: 'We witnessed one of the true modern-day legends tonight in action. Oleksandr Usyk for me is a heavyweight in any generation that would be an outstanding fighter. "I take my hat off to him in how he coped, how he showed such mental resilience in someone's back yard, he is something special. He is a special fighter. Daniel is obviously very disappointed, he is in the dressing room at the moment but he will come back.'

As Anthony's father Patrick (Rudolph Walker) prepares to marry Yolande (Angela Wynter), Anthony has been confirmed to be returning to the Square to attend the big event. But with Zoe also making a comeback to Walford, will there be old sparks being reignited? Fans certainly seemed to think so, sharing their theories on Instagram as the announcement was made. "Not this happening at the same time Zoe comes back 🤣" wrote one. "I'm all for this return. Now please can Anthony have a scene with Zoe 👀." wrote another. While a third wrote: "OMG 😍👑💙 Nicolas Bailey can't wait to 👀 him reunited with Patrick and Yolande and Kat and Zoe 👑👑👑👑" Anthony Trueman hasn't been seen on the Square in over 11 years - though his first time around proved to be eventful. Shortly after arriving in 2000, Anthony struck up a romance with Kat – despite the protests of his mother, Audrey, who deeply disapproved of her. While their romance fizzled out, things turned toxic quickly when he moved on with Zoe Slater – the teenage sister (later revealed to be daughter) of Kat. Anthony Trueman and Kat Moon meet as he returns on EastEnders Although he even got engaged to Zoe, he still held a flame for Kat, and when Zoe left the Square the pair slept together once again – on the day he was supposed to marry Zoe. With Kat and Anthony back on, their differing social circles became more apparent, with Kat growing close to Alfie Moon (Shane Ritchie) who helped her with her table etiquette ahead of an important dinner. Kat would later discover she was pregnant by Anthony, and considered having an abortion, only to suffer a miscarriage before she could even tell him. Realising they were too different, Kat broke up with Anthony to be with Alfie, who she ended up marrying. When he accidentally causing the death of a pregnant patient, Anthony decided he needed a fresh start and left Walford in 2003 to go travelling. Since then, we've known that he returned to the UK, moved to Scotland and got married – making brief returns for his dad's first wedding to Yolanda, and his brother Paul's funeral. 6 Anthony and Kat's complicated relationship ended up collapsing Credit: BBC 6 Zoe was still a teenager when she started sleeping with Anthony Credit: BBC

Hugo Ekitike to Liverpool transfer shows how much has changed since Jurgen Klopp rant
Jurgen Klopp previously claimed that Liverpool could not compete with the likes of Manchester City and PSG in the transfer market, but the Reds have spent big this summer Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Hugo Ekitike, with the striker set to earn Eintracht Frankfurt a huge fee that could exceed the €95million (£82.3m) they received when Randal Kolo Muani joined Paris Saint-Germain if all the add-ons are met. The Ekitike deal will take Liverpool's spending spree this summer to around £300m, which would make it the second-highest in a single transfer window in English football history behind Chelsea's in the summer of 2023. The Reds have already signed Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen for a British-record fee, while Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, Giorgi Mamardashvili, Armin Pecsi and Freddie Woodman have also made the move to Anfield this summer. Liverpool's spending comes just three years after former manager Jurgen Klopp claimed "no one can compete" in the transfer market with clubs like Manchester City, PSG and Newcastle, who are all state-owned. "Nobody can compete with City," he said in October 2022. "You have the best team in the world and you put in the best striker on the market, no matter what it costs, you just do it. I know City will not like it, nobody will like it. "You've asked the question but you know the answer. What does Liverpool do? We cannot act like them. It is not possible. Not possible. It is just clear and again you know the answer. There are three clubs in world football who can do what they want financially. "It's legal and everything, fine, but they can do what they want. They will say 'yeah but we have...' but it's exactly the fact. I heard now that at Newcastle somebody said 'there is no ceiling for this club'. "Yes! He is right. He is absolutely right. There is no ceiling for Newcastle. Congratulations, but other clubs have ceilings." When Klopp left Liverpool in 2024, the Reds had the lowest net spend among the 'Big Six' clubs and they made just one signing in Arne Slot's first season in charge with Federico Chiesa joining from Juventus for around £12.5m. However, things have clearly changed this summer as Liverpool look to build on last season's successes. They are also England's most profitable club and have raised funds in recent seasons with the sales of Jarell Quansah, Caoimhin Kelleher, Fabio Carvalho and Sepp van den Berg.
