Former Nebraska basketball player Keisei Tominaga drops 12 points in the NBA Summer League

A former Husker put together his first double-digit outing in his final game of the NBA Summer League. Keisei Tominaga delivered 12 points for the Indiana Pacers in his first start of the Summer League. Tominaga played for just 19 minutes in the Pacers' 113-104 win over the New Orleans Pelicans but made substantial efforts to close out the tournament with a solid performance. He shot 4-of-13 from the floor, 2-of-8 from beyond the arc, and 2-of-2 from the free throw line. Tominaga had previously played in only two games for Indiana in the Summer League, accumulating three points in 15 total minutes of play. Indiana concludes the Summer League with a 3-2 record, missing out on the Summer League playoffs. Tominaga was picked up by the Pacers in 2024 after playing three seasons at Nebraska. He then appeared in 14 games with the Indiana Mad Ants, the Pacers' G League affiliate, before being called up to play in the Summer League. In his three seasons with the Huskers, Tominaga scored 1,074 points and finished seventh in school history for career 3-pointers, with 178 made. In his final season with the Huskers, he averaged 15.1 points per game, helping the team to a 23-11 record and a third-place Big Ten finish. Tyrese Haliburton injury: Pacers star ruled out for rest of NBA Finals Game 7

Indiana Pacers star guard Tyrese Haliburton went down with what looked to be a very significant injury during the first quarter of Game 7 of the NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder. With 5:02 left in the period, after catching a pass from Obi Toppin and trying to blow past Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Haliburton tumbled to the floor with a non-contact injury. Haliburton immediately slapped the floor in pain and discomfort, expressing obvious emotion and frustration. After trainers spent several minutes tending to him, Haliburton was eventually helped off the floor and into the locker room with a towel draped over his head. Haliburton had nine points, including 3 for 4 on 3-pointers, in seven minutes. The Pacers took a 1-point lead to the locker room against the Thunder at halftime, but his presence was missed on the court in the second half. Haliburton suffered a right calf injury in Game 5 and was questionable for Game 6, but he managed to play and was deemed healthy enough to play in Game 7. Tyrese Haliburton suffers Achilles injury The Pacers announced, per ABC broadcaster Lisa Salters, that Haliburton suffered a right lower leg injury and will not return. Haliburton had suffered various leg injuries throughout his career, but he suffered his most notable injury during the biggest game of his career. Salters would later report on the broadcast that Haliburton's family went back to the locker room to check on his status during the game. Haliburton's father, John Haliburton, told Salters that it was an Achilles injury that was keeping Tyrese out of the game. "He says that he seems to be in good spirits," Salters said on the broadcast. "He's watching the game, and he's trying to root on his team from back in the locker room." The injury will likely keep Haliburton out for the early part of the 2025-26 season. Check back for more information on this story. Why Manny Pacquiao came out of retirement to return to boxing after 4 years away

Manny Pacquiao is a legend. He didn't need to come out of retirement to prove that. The eight-division champion and hero of the Philippines has already done plenty. But Pacquiao is back. He's taking on WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios on Saturday in Las Vegas. Here's why: Why did Manny Pacquiao come out of retirement? Manny Pacquaio offered a simple explanation for his return to ESPN's Andreas Hale: "I'm coming back because boxing is my passion. It's all I think about, and I really like to make history." Pacquiao is trying to break his own record. In 2019, he won the world welterweight title when he beat Keith Thurman. Pacquiao was 40 then, the oldest to ever accomplish that feat. Now at 46 years old, Pacquiao would shatter his own mark and likely leave it out of reach for anyone else. Is this it? "It's hard to say what tomorrow holds," Pacquiao told ESPN. "I always leave it to God, and he gave me the chance to fight again. But if my body feels strong after this fight..." MORE: Ranking Manny Pacquiao's best fights
