'The Summer I Turned Pretty' season 3 X reviews: "Team Conrad" shines brightest among the netizens
About 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' and the response
Based on Jenny Han's trilogy 'The Summer I Turned Pretty,' the last season premiered on July 16, 2025. With the perfectly embroiled love triangle, Belly (Lola Tung) and brothers Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) are set to be the heartthrobs of the season.
The internet's reaction...
However, as the season rolls in, the internet has cast its unanimous vote into mocking Jeremiah and hailing Conrad as the best person to ever exist. Simultaneously, Taylor (Rainn Spencer) and Lauren (Jackie Chung) have been getting mixed reviews from the viewers.
One user wrote, 'jeremiah cheats on belly TWICE. then PROPOSES with NO RING. while her brother is in a HOSPITAL BED. after a CAR CRASH and BENSON BOONE is playing. and I'M SUPPOSED TO SHIP?!'
Another user expressed, 'so tell me why conrad and belly had more chemistry in a 10 minute scene than jeremiah and belly have the past 2 episodes….'
A third user commented on Taylor, 'Taylor is a horrible best friend, and she's annoying and so self centered. She and Jeremiah would've actually been perfect for 3ach other.' Commenting on Belly's life choices, a fourth user said, 'of course Belly will say yes to that lame ass proposal she's surrounded by CHEATERS and the one loyal soul is treated like a guest star'
A fifth user said, 'i love Conrad so much, he deserves the world' Another user simply claimed, 'Team Conrad. Always'
With all the comments from the internet, it looks like '
Team Conrad
' is winning (and it's not even a tough competition).

Love The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3? Seven shows to watch while waiting for new episodes

Belly's love triangle drama (between Conrad and Jeremiah) just keeps heating up, and every new episode makes the wait feel way too long. The third episode will drop on Prime Video on July 23, but for now, if you are lost on what to watch in the meantime, here are some shows that give off similar feelings, romance, messy friendships, growing pains, and more, as per TV Guide. The Summer I Turned Pretty features a love triangle between Belly, Conrad and Jeremiah. Also read: The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3: Release date, time, where to watch and more Shows like The Summer I Turned Pretty XO, Kitty If you have watched To All the Boys I've Loved Before, check out XO, Kitty. It follows Kitty Covey as she moves to South Korea to reconnect with her long-distance boyfriend. But nothing goes as she expects. The show is cute, funny and chaotic. There is a lot of teen drama and emotional ups and downs that will totally remind you of Belly's journey. The Korean backdrop is super aesthetic, and the characters are fun to watch. Plus, Kitty's confidence (even when things go wrong) is really refreshing. One Tree Hill This one is sort of old-school, but still a favorite for drama fans. One Tree Hill is about basketball, brothers, high school love... and a ton of drama. The characters really grow on viewers. It has got that emotional weight like The Summer I Turned Pretty, and the love stories are pretty intense. And the music is good too. If you are looking for something to binge with strong feelings and relatable struggles, this one delivers. Never Have I Ever Devi is a whole chaotic mess, in the best way. Never Have I Ever's lead character is unfiltered and super different from Belly. She deals with grief, boy drama, identity stuff, and tons of hilariously awkward moments, all while managing her Indian roots in America. It has got a real heart beneath all the jokes. The show also has a love triangle. If you want something that makes you laugh but also sometimes low-key cry, this is it. Plus, each episode is short, so you can binge-watch it over the weekend. My Life With the Walter Boys After a tragedy, Jackie moves to a small town and ends up living with a big, chaotic family, including a few boys who obviously bring on the drama. Think The Summer I Turned Pretty vibes but set in the countryside. The setting's different, but the emotional tone hits close. Viewers will probably get attached to Jackie quickly, and the sibling dynamics are pretty funny too. Dawson's Creek Dawson's Creek is super dramatic and full of those 'big' teen emotions. The whole small-town beach vibe feels very The Summer I Turned Pretty. Joey, Dawson, and Pacey have a love triangle of their own that fans still argue about today. Some episodes are slower, but if you like deep conversations, emotional tension, and nostalgic vibes, give it a go. It is the blueprint for every modern teen drama. Also read: Are you team Conrad or team Jeremiah? The Summer I Turned Pretty's Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno make their case! Motorheads If you are into something more fast-paced, Motorheads might surprise you. It is about a group of teens obsessed with cars and racing, but it is not just about the engines. There is romance, friendship, drama, and some really solid character growth. The show might not seem like it fits the TSITP vibe at first, but the characters totally pull you in. And if you like underdog stories, you will probably love this. Gilmore Girls This one is a cult classic! Gilmore Girls is less about dramatic love triangles and more about family, friendship, and finding your way. Lorelai and Rory's dynamic is so sweet, and her high school/college journey has its share of boy drama, too. If you want something chill to balance out the TSITP tension, this is like the perfect comfort watch. FAQs: 1. When does Episode 3 of The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 come out? 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' Season 3 debuts on OTT. Internet calls it the 'most brilliant thing ever done'
The highly anticipated third season of 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' has finally arrived, with the first two episodes now streaming — and the internet is ablaze with reactions. From plot twists and character drama to deeply emotional moments and faithful book adaptation, fans have wasted no time sharing their thoughts on social media under the trending hashtag #TheSummerITurnedPretty. One of the biggest points of discussion centres around Jeremiah's controversial storyline, which has sparked outrage among long-time viewers. One user summed up their disbelief with a viral post, 'Jeremiah cheats on Belly TWICE. then PROPOSES with NO RING. while her brother is in a HOSPITAL BED. after a CAR CRASH and BENSON BOONE is playing. and I'M SUPPOSED TO SHIP?! (sic)' Others are drawing comparisons between Jeremiah and Conrad, Belly's two love interests, pointing out the stark contrast in their behaviour. Another viewer wrote, 'When Conrad 'left you' because he was sick and his mother had just died, he wasn't feeling well. When the dyed-blonde cheats on you TWICE, you forgive him and decide to marry him. Belly, you're a case study. (sic)' A similar sentiment was echoed by a fan who noted the emotional gap between the two characters, 'The concept of Jeremiah sleeping with a girl TWICE just few days after a fight with Belly meanwhile Conrad hasn't moved on in 4 years (sic).' Despite the intense debate surrounding character choices, many fans have praised the show for returning to its roots and aligning more closely with the original books by Jenny Han. A third user wrote, 'The first two episodes were good because they followed the book adaptation this time (sic).' Some viewers are also applauding the writing and emotional depth in this new season. A particular moment involving a reference to P.S. I Still Love You drew special praise, 'This is the most brilliant thing Jenny Han has ever done. Not only did she shout out P.S. I Still Love You, but Conrad clearly erasing the word 'still' and Belly filling it back in. This is exceptional writing (sic).' Music, as always, plays a powerful role in the storytelling. A user wrote on X ''A part of me will always love you' with Mystery of Love in the background (sic).' As the season unfolds, it's clear that 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' Season 3 is not holding back. Whether you're Team Conrad or Team Jeremiah, one thing is certain: fans are deeply invested in the story's emotional stakes, romantic chaos, and faithful literary callbacks.

Even BTS' V and Taylor Swift couldn't save The Summer I Turned Pretty's ‘cringe' start, with Belly and Jeremiah's ‘frustrating' chemistry
The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3's first two episodes were frustratingly painful to sit through. After waiting for four years and watching Belly (Lola Tung) still torn between the Fisher brothers felt like a slap. The new season is out, and there's absolutely nothing new. Same old triangle, same worn-out drama, just wrapped in a shinier, college setup. Based on Jenny Han's novel and hyped as one of the most anticipated summer shows, it had Taylor Swift's hits blaring and even summoned the K-pop crowd with BTS' Kim Taehyung on the soundtrack, but seems like those tracks might be the only thing worth talking about. Spoilers ahead. Also read: The Summer I Turned Pretty S3: Makers warn 'heartbreaking' finale as Belly Conrad's story diverges from the Book Season 3 picks up with a time jump, longer than anyone expected. We're now four years ahead. Belly's in her junior year at Finch College, still dating Jeremiah, which was teased in the promos too. Meanwhile, Conrad's sort of out of the picture, he's at Stanford, studying medicine, trying to move on while still dealing with his mom's death and the whole Belly fallout. Team Conrad might've been happy at first with this development, but the way Belly handled things made it too cringe to even fathom. She finds out Jeremiah cheated on her during spring break in Cabo. He pulls the classic 'we were on a break' card (Must be watching Ross-Rachel FRIENDS playbook on loop). One thinks they're still together, the other's off doing their own thing. But here's where it gets more frustrating. He didn't just cheat once, but twice. Thankfully, the show threw in some screentime for other characters too, Taylor and Steven (Belly's best friend and her brother), still trying to figure out whatever it is they're doing. Steven gets into an accident, he is hospitalised, and that's when Belly forgives Jeremiah. And right there, outside the hospital, with absolutely no effort, no ring, no build-up, no logic, he proposes. And she says yes. Book readers are left horrified. The rushed pacing, What was the point? Also read: The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 teaser: 5 subtle clues you might have missed hinting at Belly and Conrad's future We get it, the show is trying to explore mature themes with college, adulthood, heartbreak, but everyone still acts like they're stuck in high school. Even the dialouges are flat. The decisions are abrupt. And worst of all, nothing feels earned. We're being told that Belly and Jeremiah are in love, but their chemistry is completely missing, and at this point, we can just hope she ends up choosing the right brother. Speaking of the characters, Gavin Casalegno and Christopher Briney (Jeremiah and Conrad) look good, but aren't given much to do beyond posing and reacting. Yes, the tracks. We're obsessed. Every song hits right where it should. Taylor Swift, BTS' V, Lana Del Rey, Cranberries, Chapel Roan, all fire. Taehyung's 'FRI(END)S' feels like a breath of fresh air as it sets up the whole Taylor-Steven vibe, while Taylor's You're Losing Me plays right when Belly finds out about Jeremiah's cheating, couldn't have been more fitting. Even the costumes stand out, subtle but detailed, and they do their part in telling the story.
