‘America's Got Talent 20' recap: Auditions end as Howie and Simon pie an opera singer in the face

America's Got Talent Season 20 continued Tuesday night with the end of its auditions episodes. This week features teenage acrobat brothers, married stand-up comedians competing against each other, a dance crew that spun off from a Golden Buzzer act from earlier in the season, and an opera singer named Avalon Penrose that inspires the judges to engage in an all-out paint balloon and pie fight on stage. In the final hour of the episode, Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, and Mel B narrow down all the acts to receive "yes" votes during the audition phase to the 44 that will compete in the live shows. Terry Crews reveals the official list of those acts that will compete for America's vote beginning August 19. It was shocking, I didn't expect it... clearly you both get on and you trust each other."Howie's comments: "What you're doing is amazing... but we've never seen it with young people like this."Sofia's comments: "Everything was flawless and it was nerve-wracking."Simon's comments: "I think you were like two little caterpillars who turned into butterflies." B Unique CrewAct: Dance CrewHometown: IndiaVotes Yes/No: Yes - Howie, Sofia, Mel, SimonSofia's comments: "This was one of the best acts of the season. You actually took Season 20 to the other level that we were saying... it was very different - I've never seen anything on this stage like this. It was spectacular."Mel's comments: "I couldn't agree with Sofia more. It was unique and that timing you have to have on point. And the head turn around - that was a bit freaky."Howie's comments: "I wanna press [the Golden Buzzer] and the boss says no."Simon's comments: "Actually, I wouldn't... I think it was good, however, I just think at the moment it felt a little too small. I do think on a live show with bigger production this could be incredible." Alex BlanchardAct: Acrobatics/DanceHometown: Liverpool, EnglandVotes Yes/No: Yes - Mel, Howie, Sofia, SimonMel's comments: "Wowza. I mean I don't even know what you'd call that coz it wasn't just acro-contemporary dance, it was something that I'm guessing you created yourself. It was brilliant and you left everything there on that floor."Howie's comments: "For one person to exude that kind of energy and that kind of athleticism was pretty spectacular and eye-opening."Sofia's comments: "My favorite thing is dancing and I like that this was not just dancing... you did a lot of gymnastics so that made it really exciting."Simon's comments: "It looked like you put in a lot of work... it was brilliant." 'Ridiculously Attractive' Stray Cat Stakes Claim on Family Like an Unbothered King

'Ridiculously Attractive' Stray Cat Stakes Claim on Family Like an Unbothered King originally appeared on Parade Pets. It's funny how Stray Cats go about choosing who they feel deserves the blessing of their presence. Truly, we don't decide, they do. If you're among the lucky few with a random surprise visitor on your stoop one day, congrats — you can thank the cat distribution system for your new fur child! One Stray Cat recently made his decision, and it's final. Described as a "ridiculously attractive" cat who shows up "like he owns the place," this is one fine feline on a mission to steal hearts and take names! It's too bad @allaboutwhiskers hasn't yet given the kitty a name or revealed much else about the stray boy because I'm dying to know more. Where did he come from? Why is he so devilishly handsome (and seems to know it)? Whatever the circumstances, any pet choosing you is the greatest day ever. You have to be pretty special for a Stray Cat to do that because they're so picky about who they allow in their world. This cutie-pie must've done his research and noticed there are five happy fur children in the house, so it must be a good fact that this stunner claims the porch as his, and without apology, just goes to show the impressive confidence he has going for him. Like he didn't ask to be part of the family, but told them, which wouldn't surprise me one bit. The resident pets, Simon, Tokyo, Londyn, Parys, Beau, and a randomly rescued squirrel, have already reaped the benefits of how much love is in this home. The two dogs and three cats follow Mom everywhere because they love her so much. Those quiet moments, like when she sat on the floor near the window, drew them all near. That kind of reaction is exactly why the pretty kitty decided this is exactly where he wants to be, and thankfully, Mom is all for it! Yes, Stray Cats Choose Their People In terms of "stuff only cats do," a stray showing up on your doorstep means they did in fact notice you, and chose you to care for them or feed them. Even the independent and feral kitties need love and affection in their lives, so it really is a gift when they visit. Assuming they don't have pet parents worried sick about where they've been, I say give them what they came for: some delicious food, a few yummy treats, and your love, however long they decide to stay. 🐶🐾🐾 'Ridiculously Attractive' Stray Cat Stakes Claim on Family Like an Unbothered King first appeared on Parade Pets on Aug 6, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade Pets on Aug 6, 2025, where it first appeared.
