12 questioned over attack on college student
Subang Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said the individuals comprised the staff, victim's friends and eyewitnesses.
He also said that the victim is currently stable.
Yesterday, Wan Azlan said the suspect, who is also a student at the same institution, has been remanded for four days.
He said the case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt with a weapon or dangerous object.
The suspect faces a maximum jail term of 10 years, a fine, or both upon conviction.
The attack took place around 6.30pm on Monday, when the suspect confronted his 20-year-old ex-girlfriend with a knife.
Wan Azlan said the attack was believed to have been triggered by dissatisfaction after the victim allegedly lied to the suspect.

Two IPT students fined for possessing pornographic content in Kota Bharu
KOTA BHARU: Three men, including two university students, were fined between RM3,000 and RM4,000 in the Magistrate's Court here today after pleading guilty to possessing pornographic videos and images. The accused, Muhammad Al Azamuddin Al Fadzil, 22, and Mohamad Syahmi Firas Mohd Jurij, 27, were each fined RM4,000, while Mohd Hanafi Ibrahim, 47, was fined RM3,000. The charges were read separately before Magistrate Wan Mohd Izzat Wan Abdullah. The trio were found with pornographic content on their mobile phones at a house in Jalan Kemumin, Kampung Pulau Belacan, Panchor, at 1.15 am on June 18. They were charged under Section 292 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum penalty of three years' imprisonment, a fine, or both. Deputy public prosecutors Muhammad Nadzir Abdullah and Nur Haziqah Hassan urged the court to impose a deterrent sentence, citing the accused's immoral actions and breach of public norms. Defence lawyer Chong Yin Xin requested leniency, stating that her clients had repented. 'Mohd Hanafi has health issues and underwent brain surgery in 2016. Three men fined RM11,000 for possessing obscene content in Kelantan
KOTA BARU: Three men, including two students from tertiary education institutions, were fined a total of RM11,000 by the magistrate's court here today for possessing obscene images and videos during a raid at a house in Kemumin last month. Mohd Hanafi Ibrahim, 47, was fined RM3,000, while Muhammad Al Azamuddin Al Fadzil, 22, and Mohamad Syahmi Firas Mohd Jurij, 27, were each fined RM4,000 after pleading guilty before Magistrate Wan Mohd Izzat Wan Abdullah. According to separate charges read out to them, all three were accused of possessing obscene images and videos on their respective mobile phones. They pleaded guilty to committing the offence at a house on Jalan Kemumin, Kampung Pulau Belacan, Panchor, here at 1.15am on June 18. They were charged under Section 292 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum sentence of three years' imprisonment, a fine, or both, upon conviction. Deputy public prosecutors Muhammad Nadzir Abdullah and Nur Haziqah Hassan prosecuted the case, while all three accused were represented by lawyer Samantha Chong Yin Xin. Earlier, Muhammad Nadzir and Nur Haziqah urged the court to impose a sentence that would serve as a deterrent to the public. Samantha, however, pleaded for leniency, requesting the minimum fine as her clients had repented and promised to change. "Mohd Hanafi suffers from a brain condition and underwent head surgery in 2016. He is now dependent on his sister for support. "Muhammad Al Azamuddin is a first-year university student, while Mohamad Syahmi Firas is a final-year polytechnic student. "They have all promised not to repeat this offence. Their families have also vowed to guide them onto the right path from now on," she said. Failure to pay the fine will result in a six-month jail term. It was previously reported that police raided a gathering at a bungalow on Jalan Kemumin, believed to have been attended by nearly 100 men. The raid, conducted based on intelligence and public information, led to the arrest of 20 men and the seizure of hundreds of condoms and HIV medication.
