What To Know
During an appearance on SiriusXM's Andy Cohen Live on Tuesday to promote her Broadway show Redwood, the Wicked star spoke out about Frozen royalties.
"I mean, I make royalties on the music and on the movie and all that stuff, but one royalty that would be really—I can't believe I'm saying this. I'm gonna get, like, fired. It would be nice to make a dollar off every Elsa, and I know Kristen Bell would say the same thing, every dress during Halloween," Menzel said, referring to her Frozen costar, who played her sister Anna in the movie. "I would just take Halloween day."
Newsweek reached out to Bell's representative via email for comment.
"Yes, yes. Wow," host Andy Cohen, 56, responded. "Just the 24 hours leading up to Halloween, you take."
"It's not even the money," she clarified. "It's more the idea that it's just, you know, that there's like billions of these out there."
What People Are Saying
Menzel previously spoke out about money while appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2022. The New York native, who shares son Walker Nathaniel with ex-husband Taye Diggs, said that Frozen 3 would be financially beneficial.
"Yeah, I'd love it because I'd like to pay my son's college," she told Fallon.
Bell, meanwhile, addressed the topic in a 2019 interview with Money. The Nobody Wants This star shares two daughters—Lincoln and Delta—with her actor husband, Dax Shepard and said she tried to teach them its value.
"When they use a whole shampoo bottle in the bathtub, I do, very bluntly, explain to them, 'Mommy bought that shampoo bottle. You hate it when Mommy works late, right? Well, if we waste a ton of stuff in the house, then I have to work more hours to make more money to buy more of that stuff,'" she said at the time. "That may sound harsh, but it's true, and I want them to understand that."
Shepard, who was with her in the joint interview, added details about her finances.
"What's interesting about Kristen is she knows her value and her worth, and she will fight for it in contract negotiations, but once that happens she'll never think again about that money. She likes to give away most of her money, so I have to make sure we are making decisions that allow her to [do that] and still [be] building something for when we stop working."
What Happens Next
Frozen 3 is set to hit theaters on November 24, 2027.
Andy Cohen Live airs Monday through Friday at 10 a.m. ET on Radio Andy (Channel 102) and anytime on the SiriusXM app.

Myles Garrett anticipates Aaron Rodgers' arrival to his infamous 'graveyard'
Myles Garrett is a man of tradition. When his penchant for destroying quarterbacks and love of celebrating Halloween intersect, it's lovely. Garrett's Ohio home has long been the staging ground to an elaborate seasonal display. Headstones dot a front-yard-turned-cemetery. On them lie the names of some of the quarterbacks Garrett has sacked in his NFL career. Joe Burrow is there. Lamar Jackson, too. Ben Roethlisberger has effectively established a residency among the grass (though admittedly the immobile, massive Home Depot skeleton would have been a better place for him). Kyler Murray made an appearance, which bummed him out. Advertisement Now he's got a new name in mind to add to his collection. Four-time NFL MVP and brand new Pittsburgh Steeler Aaron Rodgers. Fortunately for Garrett, Rodgers is easier to sack than ever. The 41-year-old is still recovering from the torn Achilles that ended his 2023 season after four plays. His 6.4 yards per scramble in 2024 were significantly below the NFL average for starting quarterbacks (7.9). His 94 rushing yards were the lowest of his career as a full-time starter. Garrett didn't need the help -- after all, he's already got the ultra-mobile Murray and Jackson amidst his collection of corpses -- but Rodgers does present an opportunity. The All-Pro edge rusher has only played Rodgers' teams twice in an eight-year career. Rodgers missed both due to injury as a Green Bay Packer in 2017 and as a New York Jet in 2023. Advertisement Thus, Garrett will get the chance to add Rodgers to a list of multiple-time MVPs in Jackson and Tom Brady amidst his boneyard. "Put him in the graveyard" isn't the threat it seems like given the context. But knowing how little the Steelers and Browns care for each other, it's the right sentiment for this rivalry. Owner Wondered How Dog Was Escaping—Video Finally Provides the Answer
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A viral video revealing a sneaky dog's escape route left viewers in stitches. A pet parent known on TikTok as @_mel_2025 couldn't understand how his Staffordshire bull terrier kept escaping from the yard. With a tall, fenced-in yard, he thought there was no way his dog could jump it. But after finally capturing the escape route on film, the owner was stunned. In the June 2 TikTok video, the owner watched his dog from inside. The staff ran up to the fence door before slowly backing away. He quickly looked around to make sure no one was watching. Once he thought he was in the clear, he sprinted to the door, but once again, he retreated as it wasn't quite right. He recalculated his steps, confirming it was the perfect amount to get full speed, and then he was off. In one swift leap, his front paws managed to reach the top of the gate. His strength pulled him the rest of the way with his back paws pushing for assistance. Then, he was off to freedom on the other side. Newsweek reached out to @_mel_2025 via TikTok for additional information. @_mel_2025 It's the walk back and thinking about his jump 👀🫣😅 Fyp Follow me for more content ♬ Mission Impossible - Adam Clayton The owner isn't surprised by his staffy's escape as it has happened multiple times before. He was never sure if the dog used to shed to help climb over. The door used to have diagonal braces on it, but the dog chewed through that several years ago, the owner wrote in a comment. The dog's impressive escape tactic took the internet by storm, surpassing over 1.4 million views and 75,900 likes on TikTok as of Tuesday. "Way he goes in, then goes back again for a better run up. That had me," said one viewer, while another added: "Pacing out the required number of steps is very impressive." A third person joked: "Lad looks like he's been doing pull-ups to prepare for the escape." Others suggested that the owner get a bigger fence to prevent this from happening again, to which he replied that he was already "in the process." He is waiting for fencing supplies to be delivered. Plus, he's looking into purchasing fence toppers, such as cat-proof rollers, that curve in toward the yard, making it, hopefully, impossible to get out.
