What is a Queso Crisp Taco? Taco Bell announces new items and old favorites back on the menu
On Tuesday, the company had its Live Más LIVE event, during which Taco Bell presented some of the new foods and drinks it has coming soon:
For the cheese heads, there's the Toasted Cheddar Street Chalupa with a layer of crispy cheese on the outside and a new Chile Lime Crema Sauce on the inside. Want more? Try the Queso Crisp Taco with a shell made entirely of crispy cheese

Devoted fans of the Beefy Crunch Burrito with Flamin' Hot Fritos were excited to hear it's coming back, and this time with "Flamin' Hot" seasoning in the rice.
There was also good news for the Baja Blast devotees. A new flavor of the drink is coming out called Baja Blast Midnight highlighting a passion fruit burst. They are also looking at bringing back the Baja Blast Pie around Thanksgiving.
Another spin on a favorite is the Chicken Nuggets which will come back twice this year and offer a new Mike's Hot Honey Diablo Sauce. Similarly, Taco Bell will start offering Chicken Strips.
Then there's the Rolled Poblano Quesadilla with chicken, steak, and poblano peppers as well as the Grilled Cheese Burrito with Shredded Beef.
Remember the Decades Menu? They are planning to bring that one back too, but focused on menu items from the early 2000's and 2010's:
Chili Cheese Burrito
Caramel Apple Empanada
Doritos Locos Tacos
Double Decker
Seven Layer Burrito
During the event, Taco Bell introduced "Fan Style," a new function of the Taco Bell app. The concept is, if you tend to order something custom, you can save your custom dish in the app, name it, and share that customizations with others.
Users will also be rewarded for others ordering their customizations, but there are no details on how that will work.
Currently, Taco Bell's drink menu is largely limited to soft drinks. But the company is looking to change that with Live Más Café, a new model of beverage-focused restaurants featuring 30 drink possibility from dirty sodas and specialty coffees to Agua Refrescas and "Churro Chillers."
Currently there is only one in San Diego and the company did a pop-up during Live Más LIVE in New York.
Taco Bell's Chief Food Innovation Officer, Liz Matthews, previewed multiple dishes the company is testing out and could roll out to menus in the future. Here were a few we are looking forward to:
Brisket Taco: A taco featuring slow-roasted brisket, shredded cheese and purple cabbage.
Mexican Pizza Empanada: The cult classic Mexican Pizza inside of a flakey crispy empanada.
Mini Taco Salad: A bite-sized version of the classic taco salad.
Poutine Fries: Seasoned fries topped with slow-roasted pork, gravy, and cheese curds.
Salted Caramel & Toffee Cream Empanada Bite: A twist on the Caramel Apple Empanada with salted caramel and toffee cream.

Taco Bell brings back Cheesy Street Chalupas to menu for limited time
Taco Bell has brought back another fan favorite to its menu: Cheesy Street Chalupas. Cheesy Street Chalupas, which made their debut in July 2024, are back on the menu, the company announced on Aug. 14. The dish comes filled with either slow-roasted chicken or grilled, marinated steak, then topped with onions and cilantro in a warm shell. The shell, inspired by Taco Bell's Quesalupa, is stuffed with melted mozzarella and pepperjack cheese. Influenced by street tacos, Cheesy Street Chalupas come in twos for $5.49 (available at participating locations nationwide for a limited time, while supplies last). You can also get two Cheesy Street Chalupas in a $9 Luxe Cravings Box, which also includes a Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito, chips with nacho cheese sauce and a medium fountain drink. The returning Cheesy Street Chalupa is "a beloved item that's sure to reignite the appetites of its devoted fans," according to Insider Foodie. Olive Garden: Does restaurant offer 25-cent wine samples? Yes, the rumors are true Cheesy Street Chalupas, a 'beloved item' on Taco Bell's menu Taco Bell first tested the Cheesy Street Chalupa in October 2023 in Indianapolis before making it available nationwide last summer. Earlier this year, Taco Bell also served up a Toasted Cheddar Street Chalupa. These dishes are new twists on the Chalupa, which originally debuted in 1999. 'We draw inspiration from all parts of the culinary world but for Cheesy Street Chalupas, we looked to the innovative spirit of street food culture. This menu item embodies that same passion for fusion and bold flavors in way that still feels uniquely Taco Bell," said Luis Restrepo, Taco Bell's vice president of product innovation. Taco Bell has also supported street vendors in Southern California by providing 46 vending carts to local food purveyors, as part of a partnership with Revolution Carts. More new items on Taco Bell's menu Joining the permanent menu on Aug. 14 is the Mountain Dew Baja Midnight, a new purple-tinged, passionfruit-flavored addition to its popular Mountain Dew Baja Blast lineup. Also available: the new $3 Grilled Steak Burrito, which can be ordered with Cheesy Melt or Chipotle Ranch flavor finishes. Roku Drops 2025 Streaming Stick to Freebie Territory While Amazon Fire TV Stick Stays Full Price
Do you still have an old TV without any of the smart features, but aren't ready to replace it yet? Maybe you do have a smart TV but you're not a fan of that specific manufacturer's interface. I know I've got a bone to pick with LG and its pseudo-Wiimote motion controls. The good news is you're not locked into what your TV alone has to offer. You can get yourself a Roku streaming stick for hardly any cash at all so you can adopt a super intuitive and reliable way to stream content. It's normally priced at $30, which ain't that bad, but you can get it even cheaper for a limited time. The price has been reduced by 37% which shaved it down by $11. That means you can grab one for a measly $19. I spent more than that at Taco Bell today. See at Amazon This 2025 model Roku streaming stick will grant you access to thousands of apps like Netflix, Disney Plus, and Apple TV. The home screen can be customized to your liking so you can keep your most used services at the ready to easily hop back into as you sit yourself down on the couch. Additionally, you'll gain access to a number of Roku originals with no cost and no subscription. Check out free hits like Dinner Budget Showdown, Celebrity Family Food Battle, Martha Cooks, Emeril Cooks — apparently I can only list cooking shows. I sure they have other stuff too. The Roku streaming stick has a compact form factor so it won't block any neighboring HDMI ports on your TV, It's powered over a USB-A cable which comes included. It can be plugged right back into the TV itself on the other end, powering it off the TV's power. That keep the whole unit fully out of sight, avoiding clutter and freeing up a spot on your nearby outlet or power strip. The Roku remote can be synced with your TV so you can turn it on and off, control volume, and operate your Roku device all with just the one remote. IT also has a voice button so you can search for your favorite TV shows or movies just by saying the title instead of needing to navigate and annoying on-screen keyboard. Right now, Amazon has the 2025 Roku streaming stick down to an all-time low price. Typically going for $30, you can snag one now for $11 off at just $19. See at Amazon
