Donald Trump visits Qatar without Melania and people have same theory

Daily Mirror15-05-2025

President Donald Trump arrived in the Middle East this week, but people have been quick to notice one key thing. It appears his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, is "missing"
Donald Trump just became the first United States President to make an official visit to Qatar – but that's not necessarily why everyone's talking about him. The fact that First Lady Melania Trump has been absent during the trip has raised eyebrows – as some are wondering why the married couple don't seem to spend much time together.
Writing on X, one person said: "Where is Melania? Does the Trump marriage have more problems than Russia / Ukraine?" Addressing the First Lady's absence, another said: "When he isn't golfing, Tweeting all night, he's up painting everything in gold gilt. Too busy for her."

Meanwhile, a third added: "Not many people are as vain and in need of love as Trump. Yet, the only thing missing is Melania? Where could she be?"

Suspicions have risen about the marriage after a journalist claimed President Trump and his wife are essentially "separated." During Tuesday's episode of The Daily Beast Podcast, Michael Wolff, alongside host Joanna Coles, talked about the controversial first few months of Trump's second administration, and also referred to Melania's lack of attendance in the White House.
"They clearly do not in any way inhabit a marriage as we define marriage," Wolff said. "I think maybe we can more specifically say they live separate lives. They are separated. The President of the United States and the First Lady are separated."
Amid the bold claims, White House Communications Director Steven Cheung branded Michael Wolff a "lying sack of s***."
Last week, at the White House's Celebration of Military Mothers event, Trump seemed to be very taken with Melania, according to a body language analyst.
Judi James, a communication expert, explained : "Trump is in the mode of a man who is smitten, chivalrous and even in awe here. His introduction ends with him calling her 'honey' as he invites her onto the stage, extending his hand to take hers before performing a reward kiss on her cheek."

Donald and Melania Trump's relationship timeline
The couple - who have been married since 2005 and share one son, 18-year-old Barron, had an odd first meeting. In an interview with Harper's Bazaar in January 2016, Melania admitted Trump approached her for her number despite being on a date with another woman. She revealed: "He wanted my number, but he was with a date, so, of course I didn't give it to him...I told you that I would call you, but I'm not giving you my number. Give it to me."
A few days later, Melania called her future husband and expressed her amazement at his "sense of vitality" and "energy." The real estate tycoon was divorced from Marla Maples, his ex-wife, at the time. Soon after they first met, the couple started dating, and in April 2004, Donald proposed during the Met Gala. "That came as a huge surprise. At the time, Melania stated to the New York Post, "We are very happy together."

The pair wed at Mar-a-Lago resort owned by the Apprentice alum – and had their son Barron in 2006. However, their relationship has seemed rather unconventional to some outsiders.
According to Michael Wolff's book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, the couple slept in separate rooms at the White House - the first couple to do so since John and Jackie Kennedy. Trump also has a bizarre night time ritual, Wolff said - the president reportedly demanded a key to his bedroom, locking his wife and the secret service out so he could scoff cheeseburgers while watching three different televisions at once.
Wolff also claims Trump likes to head beneath the duvet at 6.30pm. It is believed the former president prefers McDonalds and other fast food joints because he lives in fear of being poisoned. As fast food is already prepared he suspects it is a safer food source than other choices.
Their relationship has also surprised many including the late Queen. According to claims in Craig Brown's book 'A Voyage Around The Queen'', weeks after one of Mr Trump's visits, she spoke about Trump during a lunch. The book claimed the Queen believed Mr Trump "must have some sort of arrangement" with his wife Melania as she mused over their relationship. The book also claims she is said to have "particularly disliked" the way he kept looking over her shoulder as if '"in search of others more interesting".

Ex-Trump comm director's claim about Newsom's political future

Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci made a wild claim about California Gov. Gavin Newsom 's political future amid his clash with President Donald Trump over this weekend's riots in Los Angeles . Newsom continued to taunt Trump Monday afternoon after the president returned to the White House and threatened to arrest the Democratic California governor. Scaramucci has supported Democrats, including President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, since his brief tenure in the first Trump White House. 'Gavin has the guts to stand up to these wannabe authoritarians. I will give him that,' Scaramucci posted Sunday night. Scaramucci highlighted a post from Newsom saying that Trump sending 2,000 National Guard troops into Los Angeles County was 'not to meet an unmet need, but to manufacture a crisis.' 'He's hoping for chaos so he can justify more crackdowns, more fear, more control. Stay calm. Never use violence. Stay peaceful,' Newsom said. On Monday Scaramucci reposted Newsom's demand to have the California National Guard returned to the governor's authority. 'I have formally requested the Trump Administration rescind their unlawful deployment of troops in Los Angeles county and return them to my command. We didn't have a problem until Trump got involved,' the Democrat said. 'The President of the United States just called for the arrest of a sitting Governor. This is a day I hoped I would never see in America. I don't care if you're a Democrat or a Republican this is a line we cannot cross as a nation - this is an unmistakable step toward authoritarianism,' Newsom wrote after Trump made his threat on the South Lawn. Newsom was the one Democratic candidate Trump feared when running against Biden - and later Harris - in the 2024 race, according to Alex Isenstadt's book Revenge: The Inside Story of Trump's Return to Power . The ex-president worried that Biden could drop out of the race cuing a Democratic primary. Instead Biden dropped out of the race so late that the party quickly got behind Harris. 'One person he had been worried about was California Governor Gavin Newsom. Always fixated on visuals, Trump thought the handsome, hair-gelled governor was "slick" and the future of the Democratic Party,' Isenstadt wrote. Trump was also annoyed that Fox News Channel's Sean Hannity woud keep having Newsom on his primetime show, Isenstadt said. But in November of 2023, Newsom debated Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who was running against Trump in the Republican primary.

Newsom continued to taunt Trump Monday afternoon after the president returned to the White House and threatened to arrest the Democratic California governor. Scaramucci, who was hired and fired by Trump in a period of 10 days in 2017, saw Newsom's political stock rising. 'This whole fiasco could make Gavin president,' Anthony Scaramucci posted to X early Monday morning. We didn't have a problem until Trump got involved,' the Democrat said. 'This is a serious breach of state sovereignty - inflaming tensions while pulling resources from where they're actually needed. Rescind the order. Return control to California,' Newsom demanded. Newsom continued to admonish Trump throughout Monday. 'Ron's an idiot, he doesn't have what it takes. But I thought Newsom would be better,' Trump said at the time, according to Isenstadt's account.

Trump suggests he would support arrest of California Governor

President Trump has suggested he would support the arrest of California's Governor. Gavin Newsom – who's a Presidential contender for the Democrats – is suing the Trump administration for deploying the National Guard in LA to quell protests sparked by immigration raids across the city. Donald Trump has doubled down on that decision, saying if he hadn't, Los Angeles would have been 'completely obliterated'. But he's been accused of inflaming tensions for political gain.
