'Their mission is to secure genetic material from dinosaurs whose DNA can provide life-saving benefits to mankind,' the synopsis reads. "As the top-secret expedition becomes more and more risky, they soon make a sinister, shocking discovery that's been hidden from the world for decades.'
This past weekend, Jurassic World Rebirth crossed the $750 million mark at the box office, becoming one of only three Hollywood films this year to reach the milestone, according to Variety. Still, the film still has a ways to go to beat Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard's sequel trilogy, each of which grossed $1 billion globally.
Jurassic World Rebirth has received mixed reviews from both critics and moviegoers. The sequel holds a 51% critics score, while audiences rated it higher at 71% on Rotten Tomatoes.
