Richard Madeley has shared a grisly injury he sustained, after appearing live on Good Morning Britain wearing a cast.
The 69-year-old was hosting the Monday morning edition of the programme alongside Susanna Reid, 54, when she asked him about the cast wrapped around his right wrist.
Richard explained he had a double fracture after taking a tumble while in France last week.
Susanna told Richard he 'better explain' at the start of the early morning programme, adding that the injury 'looked sore'.
Richard replied: 'It's a double fracture of the wrist.
'I was walking quite quickly down a steep pavement in France on Friday, and the pavement was loose and it flipped up and it flipped me forward.
'I thought, am I going to win or is gravity going to win? And gravity won.
'I hit the ground hard, so yeah, I've got a double fracture and we'll see how it goes.'
Susanna then went on to ask her co-host how much the pain of the break was bothering him, to which he replied: 'I'm not discussing the pain threshold, we just don't think about pain.'
Richard went on to bravely front the programme alongside Susanna, as they discussed Greta Thunberg's aid boat being stopped by Israeli forces and anti-immigration raid protests in Los Angeles.
He also went on to interview Jim Moir, also known by his stage name Vic Reeves, who demonstrated his skill at making his bed in eight seconds. Richard congratulated him with 'one hand clapping' due to the wrist injury.
Good Morning Britain viewers took to X to comment on Madeley's injury, with @wrinklytimelord writing: 'Awww Madeley has an owie.'
@topham_cheryl wrote: 'Is Richard channeling his inner Keith lemon this morning with his bandage?'
@AlanCortes echoed: 'Is R.Madeley doing a Keith lemon wrist bandaged.' More Trending
This comes amid huge upheaval at ITV, with Good Morning Britain now set to run from 6am to 9:30am amid cuts to the broadcaster's daytime TV slate.
GMB will now reportedly be produced by ITV News at ITN and include more 'regional news, agenda-setting investigations, exclusives, and analysis of the biggest stories of the day.'
Additionally, with Lorraine set to become a seasonal programme, GMB will fill the slot entirely and run from 6am to 10am.

Race Across The World 2025 winners revealed after nail-biting final dash
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video The winners of BBC One's Race Across the World 2025 have been revealed following a thrilling conclusion. After travelling thousands of kilometres across China, Nepal and India, one pair claimed the £20,000 prize after reaching the final checkpoint in Kanniyakumari. The final leg was the closest the teams had been in 51 days, with just 19 minutes separating first and second place. However, for the first time in the show's history, a mother and son pairing have won after Caroline and Tom were declared winners following the 14,100km race across the world's largest continent, Asia. Sprinting to the finish line, sisters Elizabeth and Letitia, who have remained consistent throughout the race, came in second place. They were followed by teenage couple Fin and Sioned, while brothers Brian and Melvyn, came in fourth. It was a race to find a boat towards the fishing village of Arockiapuram and there, find the Vattakottai Fort where the last and final sign in book was waiting. As Caroline and Tom turned to the page to discover they had reached the final checkpoint in first place, they hugged, overcome with emotion. An emotional Caroline cried: 'We must never doubt ourselves again. Ever, ever, ever.' Writing their names in the book, Tom said: 'That's a really good feeling, I'm lost for words, I can't believe it. 51 days racing through countries I never thought I'd go to, I never thought we'd come this far, I never thought we'd achieve so much and I've never been prouder of my mum – she got me through it.' As sisters Elizabeth and Letitia turned the page to claim second place, Elizabeth said: 'Ah Tom and Caroline, so close, 19 minutes,' with Letitia adding: 'I'm proud of us.' Just 45 minutes behind the winners, Fin and Sioned arrived in third place. Fin said: 'We've done well.' He added: 'It would have been incredible to have come first, but obviously we can't all come first.. we've gone more than 12000km…' Sioned continued: 'It's been more than just the distance, it's been a journey for us.' Brian and Melvyn, who arrived in fourth place, only 3 hours and 5 minutes behind race winners, said: 'We've done very well actually. Really pleased for the guys that have won it. Beer? Desperately, and definitely!' The final episode saw Caroline and Tom began the last leg in the lead, 6 hours and 54 minutes ahead of Elizabeth and Letitia. They started from the 7th checkpoint, Panaji in Goa with just over 1000km to traverse across the southern Indian states to reach the finish line at the southernmost tip of India in Kanniyakumari. Arriving into Kanniyakumari by taxi, Tom said how nervous he was, and worried more when he exclaimed: 'I've just seen Fin and Sioned, I promise you, I have, oh no.' Getting caught in a traffic jam, Caroline and Tom were visibly despondent. Receiving their first instructions to reach the tip of India, Caroline and Tom raced through huge crowds of people trying to watch the incredible sunrise but with little time to appreciate the stunning views: 'It's a nice sunrise, bit hard to focus on, but it's nice.' Hot on Caroline and Tom's heels, Elizabeth and Letitia received the next instructions to proceed on foot to the front of Our Lady of Ransom Shrine. Not hesitating to ask multiple people for help, the teams made their way and discovered they must then take a boat to Arockiapuram fishing village. Caroline and Tom secured a boat for 1000 rupees, stressing that they were in a race and the need for speed to their driver. Still worried about having seen Fin and Sioned, Tom said: 'I still can't see Fin and Sioned, I don't know if they can see us.' The teams received a message instructing them to head on foot to the Vattakottai Fort. Running through the winding streets, trying to find the beach, Tom said: 'It's so far out of the way.' On reaching the entrance to the Fort, Caroline and Tom ran in with Caroline asking 'Can you see anyone else, Thomas?' and Tom replying; 'I don't see anyone.' The pair reached the book and discovered they had won the race of a lifetime and a prize of £20,000. Over the eight-part series, the four pairs have raced over 14,000km over 51 days. More Trending The teams have successfully journeyed across the world's largest continent, Asia, taking in three of its most diverse and fascinating nations – China, Nepal and India. They've had to navigate crowds, congestion and cultural barriers, as well as a multitude of vast ranging landscapes on an epic journey from The Great Wall of China in northeastern China all the way to the southernmost tip of India – Kanniyakumari – all without smartphones, internet access and bank cards, and armed only with the cash equivalent of flying the route. Following the final episode of Race Across the World, the teams will return for a heart-warming reunion celebration, which airs at 9pm on Wednesday 18th June on BBC One. Coronation Street fans rumble what really happened to Becky in sad Swain twist
Coronation Street fans are convinced they know what really happened to Becky - DS Lisa Swain's former partner - after Betsy learned some truths about Becky in tonight's episode Coronation Street fans have worked out what really happened to Becky. The character has never appeared on screen but she was a huge part of Lisa Swain's life before she arrived on the Cobbles. Lisa lost her partner Becky in the line of duty and has struggled with that since, unable to cope with the effect it had on their daughter Betsy and has feared her own danger whilst out on the beat after what happened to her late partner. Tonight, there was a shock twist as some truths came out about Becky, with more to come. Betsy found some files about Becky and whilst Swain tried to pass it off, Betsy continued her investigation with it looking like there was some corruption involved. We know Becky died in the line of duty after being run over by Mason's evil brothers during a robbery but now fans of the ITV soap have come up with a whole new theory about what happened to Becky. One fan wrote: "Becky Swain has either faked her own death or is in witness protection. Likely to next be seen alive at Carla & Lisa's wedding day when the guy asks if anyone has any objections." "So when Becky finally arrives, I need someone to make a joke about Lisa having a type. I'll even accept Becky saying it too," another added, with a third sharing: "Okay so Becky is either in whiteness protection or was a bent copper and idk what I'd love more #Corrie." There has been much talk about how well things are going for Carla and Lisa - affectionately named Swarla by fans - with Sydney Martin recently telling The Mirror that Betsy is rooting for them too. "I think secretly she would love it. Sydney would absolutely love it, but Betsy I think internally she would too. She knows the dynamic really works and she does truly see Carla as a stepmother and as family. But I think she would still be Betsy wouldn't she, and she would probably be embarrassed by them both," she told us. Vicky Myers - who plays Lisa - also shared her own hopes about the future for her character and Carla. She said: "I think a backstory would be great, but I think in time. There are so many other things that I think should be explored with the two of them and their extended family, and how they navigate life all together in their flat." Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

Coronation Street star reacts to major show change and teases 'exciting' twists
Coronation Street's Amy Barlow actress Elle Mulvaney has had her say on the schedule shake-up set to come into effect on the ITV soap in 2026, and she also teased the 65th anniversary One Coronation Street favourite has revealed all on a major change coming for the ITV soap. She also teased some "exciting" moments ahead, a possible romance for her character and hinted at the soap's 65th anniversary later this year. Amy Barlow actress Elle Mulvaney spoke exclusively to The Mirror about what was coming on the show for her character and others. She addressed hopes from fans for Amy and close pal Aadi Alahan to finally get together, after a near romance months earlier. When asked about the Emmerdale crossover, she promised fans it would be "unreal" while she also teased "exciting" 65th anniversary episodes later in the year. While Elle is yet to find out much of what's ahead, the stuff she does know will be kept under wraps for the time being. But it's safe to say there's good stuff ahead for Amy, while the actress did have her say on the news that from January 2026, the show will be on every night and will transmit shorter episodes. Some viewers had been worried about the news, but Elle says it's a good change-up as she recalled it was this way not too long ago. She told us: "I think it's exciting. Obviously we used to be five episodes not massively long ago so I don't think it is gonna be that different. "I almost feel like viewers will be getting more in a way because it will be on every single night. It's just a big change isn't it." Elle also shared her thoughts on the crossover, hoping to be involved as Corrie and Emmerdale unite. She said: "Oh my God, we are absolutely ecstatic about it. We cannot wait to know about it all, it's gonna be unreal. If you are a fan of both shows then this is a dream come true. "I mean hopefully I'll be involved. We will have to wait and see! You have got to remember that we both have got such massive casts so it will be a case of how many people can you fit into one episode, but we'll see! Hopefully I'm in it." She also remained coy about what she did or didn't know about the looming celebrations for the show's 65th, while one cast member teased the focus would mainly be on the crossover. Elle told us: "I'm excited to find out the details but I can't say anything!" Finally, Elle teased that things may be revisited for Amy and Aadi after their near-romance and their clear feelings for one another. She hinted: "For Amy we will definitely see more family things going on ahead, with the dynamics changing with both her parents having split again. "There is all of that going on and in Amy's love life, we might see some changes there so there's definitely a lot to come up." She added when asked about Aadi: "That's it, I think it will be a will they won't they situation but you will have to watch and see!"
