Kia India confirmed that they will be launching the all-electric version of the Carens Clavis. This information was confirmed at the launch of the Carens Clavis, that the brand will be launching the Carens Clavis later this year in the Indian market and it will be the most affordable electric vehicle in Kia's portfolio.
In the spy shots, it can be seen that the Carens Clavis EV uses new EV-specific wheel covers that help with aerodynamics and efficiency. The previous spy shots have revealed that the charging port will be positioned in the front, which makes it easier to position the car while charging the car. Usually, when the charging port is positioned on a fender or the quarter panel, the driver needs to position the car in such a way that the charging cable can reach the charging port. However, if the port is in the front, then this issue is eliminated. Kia Carens Clavis EV will have the charging port positioned in the front. (Image: Autospy)
The new Carens Clavis itself has a design that looks inspired by electric vehicles in that there is no immediate visible grille and smooth lines. The same will be true for the all-electric version.headlamp setup would be carried over but we can expect few tweaks to the bumper considering that there would be a charging flap in the front. The new lighting elements are inspired by the new Kia EV3 that was unveiled in the global market. The same design language will be seen on the upcoming vehicles as well. Kia is trying to streamline the design language for all its vehicles which will help their cars to be recognized as a Kia immediately.

Wipro to buy Harman's DTS business for $375 million

Bengaluru: Indian IT major Wipro entered into an agreement to acquire the Digital Transformation Solutions (DTS) business unit of Harman, a Samsung company, for $375 million. The deal will accelerate Wipro's mission to deliver next-generation engineering research and development (ER&D) services. The transaction, signed on Thursday, marks one of Wipro's largest acquisitions in the ER&D space. Through this deal, Wipro will gain full ownership of DTS, a US-based global provider of ER&D and IT services. This acquisition significantly expands Wipro's ER&D capabilities, strengthening its AI-driven digital and device engineering services—from design to manufacturing—across key sectors such as technology, industrial, aerospace, healthcare, and consumer industries. As part of the acquisition, the Bengaluru-headquartered firm will enter into a multi-year strategic agreement with Harman and Samsung, further deepening the relationship and creating new avenues for joint growth and transformation. Upon completion of the acquisition, DTS will be integrated into Wipro's engineering global business line. DTS's strong presence in high-growth sectors and strategic markets complements our global footprint and strengthens our position as a trusted transformation partner. Together, we'll accelerate digital innovation, reduce time-to-market, and sharpen competitive advantage. " The acquisition will be completed through a cash consideration, with closure expected by the end of this year, subject to regulatory and antitrust approvals in the United States and other jurisdictions. By combining DTS's personalised, high-touch service model with Wipro's global scale, robust technology ecosystem, and deep resources, the deal offers clients the best of both worlds: the agility and specialisation of a niche provider, alongside the reach and capabilities of a global leader. Its ER&D offerings include embedded software, digital engineering, design thinking, and device engineering, while its IT services span cloud and infrastructure, data analytics and AI, enterprise automation, and customer experience. The company operates in 14 countries, including India, the US, South Korea, the UK, Poland, and Germany, with a workforce of over 5,600 employees. DTS reported consolidated revenues of $315 million in calendar year 2022, $308 million in 2023, and $314 million in 2024. In 2024, approximately 85% of the revenue came from services, with the remaining 15% from products. Christian Sobottka, CEO of Harman, said, "This agreement unlocks the next chapter for the DTS business unit—one where it can scale faster, reach more clients in key industries, and fully realise its growth potential. As part of Wipro, a company with deep engineering prowess, DTS will have the complementary capabilities and ecosystem needed to expand its impact and accelerate the value it delivers to customers." A look Gemini premium Google's AI, Gemini, now has a Pro plan in India priced at ₹1,950 per month. It unlocks Gemini 2.5 Pro, Google's most advanced AI model, which is far more powerful than the free version. PAG, Apax & others in race to buy US digital firm Accion

About half a dozen suitors, including PAG and Apax Partners, have expressed strong interest in acquiring Accion Labs, a US-based digital-focused software product engineering company, according to people familiar with the firms have reportedly submitted non-binding bids to acquire a majority stake in Accion Labs, valuing the company between $800 million and $1 billion. Currently, global private equity fund TA Associates and Mumbai-based PE fund True North Partners together hold approximately 90% ownership in Accion Labs, with the remaining stake retained by the company's Morgan is advising the investors on a potential exit strategy. Founded in 2011 in Pittsburgh, Accion Labs employs more than 5,500 engineers across 23 offices in the US, Canada, the UK and the Asia-Pacific region. Bloomberg reported last year that TA Associates was planning to exit its investment in the company. In India, Accion has offices in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and 2022, True North Partners, through its fund Indium VI (Mauritius) Holdings, acquired about 30% stake in Accion Labs for $93 million, while TA Associates acquired the majority stake in 2020. Accion Labs, co-founded by Kinesh Doshi and Tony Kernan, offers a wide range of services including digital engineering, cloud and platform engineering, data and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions, enterprise system automation and agentic AI solutions, according to its website. Queries sent to TA Associates, True North Partners, Accion Labs and Apax Partners did not elicit any responses, while a PAG spokesperson declined to comment. Private equity funds are increasingly targeting tech services firms, driven by the sector's high growth potential fuelled by the ongoing digital transformation, along with growing demand for IT consulting, cloud and cybersecurity services. The tech services market remains highly fragmented, presenting opportunities to PE investors to create value through consolidation, operational improvements and strategic expansion. Recently, TPG Capital-owned Altimetrik acquired SLK Software, a Bengaluru-based technology services firm specialising in AI, intelligent automation and analytics solutions. The acquisition, valued at $550-$600 million (about ₹5,100 crore), saw Altimetrik outbid other IT companies including Mphasis and Hexaware Technologies. In India, unlike the west, the robust exit environment, supported by interest from both strategic buyers and public markets, makes tech services companies attractive acquisition targets for private equity firms, according to experts. Carlyle-backed Hexaware Technologies went public in February 2025, listing at a premium of 5.3%. CA Magnum Holdings, an affiliate of The Carlyle Group, currently holds a 74.57% stake in Hexaware. The Carlyle Group acquired the majority stake from Baring Private Equity Asia in 2021 for about $3 billion. Hexaware's market capitalisation stands at ₹49,239 crore ($5.64 billion). The Indian software products market is poised for significant expansion, with projections estimating growth to $44 billion by FY31 from $15 billion in FY23. According to a report by Avendus Capital, an increasing number of scaled players, in high-growth sub-segments such as cloud services, analytics and AI services, and cybersecurity services, are expected to emerge and capitalise on value creation opportunities.
