The righthander has one more round of cancer treatment scheduled for November.
'I made the decision when I was diagnosed in 2022 with Hodgkin lymphoma that I wasn't going to let that define my life and dictate how I was going to go about my life,' Enright said. 'It's something where, for anyone else who is going through anything similar, [it shows] I haven't just holed up in my house and felt sorry for myself this whole time.'

Hunter Gaddis and Cade Smith pitched the eighth and ninth innings Monday before Enright entered with a two-run lead. He gave up a two-out RBI single to Brett Baty before retiring Luis Torrens on a fly out to the warning track in right.
'I definitely held my breath as I saw Nolan [Jones] kind of keep running,' Enright said. 'But I had faith. As he kind of got closer to the wall, I realized it was losing steam.'
Enright was showered with beer by teammates in the locker room.
'I was so happy, oh, I was going nuts in here,' Guardians starting pitcher Slade Cecconi said with a smile. 'I was going absolutely berserk. He came in running up the stairs, smile on his face.'
Enright thanked his wife, his parents, and the rest of his family for their support throughout an interview at his locker. He got the ball from the final out and plans to set aside his uniform and hat as well as a lineup card.
'Really, really cool,' Enright said. 'These last couple of years, especially, I've gone through a lot of adversity and just everything that's gone on. And so for me, it's being able to reflect on those in these moments. I think that helps being able to slow the game down. Because it hasn't exactly been a red-carpet rollout for my career trajectory.'

Dak Prescott makes stance clear as Micah Parsons-Cowboys drama drags on

Dak Prescott has weighed in on the Micah Parsons-Cowboys standoff. The Dallas quarterback, who has twice sparred with owner Jerry Jones over his contract, said things can easily be mended over if the money is right in the end. 'At the end of the day, it is business,' Prescott said, according to The Athletic. 'We can't make something business personal. I think when you do that, that's where the division comes. … Once that business deal happens, you can move forward.' Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (4) at training camp at the River Ridge Fields. Kirby Lee-Imagn Images Even after Parsons' trade request, Prescott said he has a hard time seeing a situation where the star linebacker isn't a Cowboy moving forward. 'No, not necessarily,' Prescott said when asked about the possibility of Parsons playing for a different team. 'I think if I wouldn't have been in his shoes, and watched other guys be in his shoes and get rewarded, maybe. But I've got faith in the Joneses and the team as I do in Micah and his team. 'I'm gonna be optimistic, and Eleven is a Cowboy.' Parsons was reportedly not at practice on Thursday, although he is still with the team at training camp to avoid a fine. ESPN reported Parsons was dealing with back tightness and received treatment during the workout. Dallas Cowboys defensive end Micah Parsons (11) at training camp at the River Ridge Fields. Kirby Lee-Imagn Images Jones said earlier this week that he is not confident Parsons will play in their Week 1 season opener on Sept. 4 against the divisional rival Eagles. Like Prescott, Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer was more optimistic about a deal getting done between Parsons and the team before the season starts. 'We're still planning on moving Micah around and putting him in all the spots that we see him and using our fronts the way we want to see it,' Schottenheimer said Tuesday. 'We go about our business every day. We live in the moment. We focus on the moment. Like I said the other day, I expect Micah to be here.' On Wednesday, Parsons' agent, David Mulugheta, sounded off on the tense negotiations between him, the All-Pro player and Jones.

One player to watch at each defensive position in Eagles' preseason opener vs. the Bengals

With kickoff fast approaching, we're looking at one player to watch at each defensive position. The Philadelphia Eagles will face the Cincinnati Bengals in the first preseason game of the summer, where there will be plenty to watch. It's unknown if Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, running back Saquon Barkley, and any of the key starters will play. At the same time, Thursday night offers a debut opportunity for Jihaad Campbell at linebacker. For Cincinnati, head coach Zac Taylor has already confirmed that his starters will play at least a series, and could play into the second quarter. With kickoff fast approaching, we're looking at one player to watch at each defensive position. DB Maxen Hook – Toledo #37 A former teammate of star cornerback Quinyon Mitchell, Hook was a first-team All-MAC selection in 2024, his third straight season earning the honor. He was the third Toledo Rocket to make an All-MAC team in four seasons. Hook could be this year's Reed Blankenship. DB Brandon Johnson – Oregon #35 Named All-Big Ten honorable mention in 2024, Johnson played in 14 games for the Ducks, logging 45 tackles, five pass breakups, and 4.5 tackles for loss. Johnson played three seasons at Duke before transferring to Oregon. DE Antwaun Powell-Ryland Jr. Philadelphia drafted All-American pass rusher Antwaun Powell-Ryland in the sixth round, and the former Virginia Tech star will look to show his explosiveness off the edge. DT Gabe Hall A rugged and versatile player at Baylor, a rookie free agent out of Baylor last season (6-6, 295 pounds), was on the practice squad for the entire season. He'll need a decisive training camp, but he can rush the passer and bring athleticism to the defensive tackle position. LB Dallas Gant A rookie free agent signing of the Vikings following the 2024 NFL Draft, Gant (6-2, 224 pounds) was a college teammate of cornerback Quinyon Mitchell at Toledo. CB Tariq Castro-Fields Castro-Fields was drafted in the sixth round of the 2022 draft by the 49ers. After a few months with the team, he was waived. The Commanders then picked him up, and he played in eight games, recording four tackles. Castro-Fields was picked up on waivers by the Panthers to begin the 2024 season, and he played nine snaps on special teams. He will be looking to establish himself as a key player in the Eagles' talented secondary. S Andre Sam Sam spent the season on the Philadelphia Eagles' practice squad. Sam (5-11, 191 pounds) jumped from FCS after starting his career in 2017 at McNeese State, where he was selected First Team All-Southland Conference twice. Sam transferred to Marshall for the 2022 season before spending his final season at LSU. Overall, he played 58 games in college, registering 144 tackles, ten pass defenses, and nine interceptions. Sam has spent the past two off-seasons training with C.J. Gardner-Johnson and could prepare to carve out a key role in year three.
