Agriculture Minister directs states to ensure adequate availability of fertilizers
The Union Minister emphasized that agriculture is the backbone of India's economy, and to ensure stability in farmers' income, it is essential to provide them with quality fertilizers at the right time, at affordable prices, and of standard quality. He also highlighted that the sale of counterfeit or substandard fertilizers is prohibited under the Fertilizer (Control) Order, 1985, which falls under the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.
The Union Minister noted that it is the responsibility of the States to ensure adequate availability of fertilizers at the right places and locations where it is required. Therefore, States must strictly monitor and take swift action against activities such as black marketing, overpricing, and diversion of subsidized fertilizers. Regular monitoring of fertilizer production and sale, as well as strict control over counterfeit and substandard products through sampling and testing, must be carried out. Forced tagging of nano-fertilizers or bio-stimulant products along with conventional fertilizers should be stopped immediately.

NEW DELHI: Union civil aviation minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu on Sunday flagged off a major expansion in regional air connectivity from Hindon Airport, launching IndiGo 's services to nine Indian cities. This marks IndiGo's debut at the NCR-based airport, following Air India Express, which began operations just four months ago. With IndiGo flights now connecting Hindon to Bengaluru, Kolkata, Varanasi, Goa, Patna, Chennai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Indore, the airport steps up as NCR's second civilian aviation hub alongside Delhi's IGI Airport. Calling the expansion a 'success of the UDAN scheme and the aspirations of common Indians,' Minister Naidu said, 'This is an Udan of Hindon, Ghaziabad, western Uttar Pradesh, and the entire country.' He highlighted the rapid growth in India's aviation sector: 'In the past decade, our airlines, airport terminals, and flyers have doubled. Saha lays emphasis on coordination among stakeholders to ensure justice under criminal laws
'Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the three criminal laws were enacted in the country. The people will benefit from these laws as it mandates a timeline for disposal of cases,' the chief minister told reporters. The three new criminal laws – Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA) – were enacted, replacing the colonial era legislations. Agartala, Jul 20 (PTI) Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Sunday laid emphasis on better coordination among stakeholders to ensure justice under three criminal laws. Saha was talking after inaugurating a workshop on 'investigation and prosecution under three criminal laws and NDPS Act' at Pragya Bhavan. He said the three laws have many benefits, such as the forensic team will rush to the crime scene if it (the crime) invites more than seven years of imprisonment, the statement of rape victim may be recoded through electronic communication in the presence of female magistrate. 'In case of rape, the health officials are asked to submit a report within seven days to expedite investigation. Besides, the laws fixed the timeline for disposing of cases,' he said. Asserting that arrest doesn't ensure punishment to any accused, the chief minister said police and public prosecutors and other stakeholders must work hand in hand to ensure justice for the victims. 'If there is any lapse in investigation, the agencies sort out the problem and ensure justice under the three new criminal laws. There must be intensive awareness programmes on the new laws to sensitise the people about the advantages given in the new laws,' he said.
