Ananya Panday confesses she's not a crier, but couldn't stop weeping after watching cousin Ahaan Panday's Saiyaara
Ahaan is the brother of popular social media influencer Alanna Panday and the first cousin of actor Ananya Panday. Alanna and her husband Ivor McCray posted a vlog which gives a sneak peek into the Panday household across two days leading up to the release of Saiyaara. Titled 'My BROTHER'S first movie launch day! #Saiyaara vlog,' the video has Ivor taking the audience through the behind-the-scenes action.
The vlog starts with the Panday family organizing a havan at their home two days before the release of Saiyaara. Ahaan Panday, sitting on the floor in a white kurta, reveals that he misses his dadi (paternal grandmother), whose portrait is also kept there to mark her presence. His father reveals Chikki Panday reveals Ahaan used to fight with his dadi to put ghee into the sacred fire in his childhood.
In another scene, as the Panday family sit together in the living room, Alanna makes Ahaan hold her one-year-old son River. She describes him as the biggest fan of Krish Kapoor, the character Ahaan plays in Saiyaara. They plan to make River wear a t-shirt that says, 'I'm Krish Kapoor's best friend.' Ahaan reveals while River had not been warming up to his uncle all this while, he's suddenly took to him after watching the trailer of Saiyaara.
We then see Ivor try to sing the Saiyaara title track, filmed on Ahaan, in broken Hindi. His singing gives way to laughter a couple of times as Alanna records her husband attempting to sing in Hindi. The family then visits the mini theatre at Yash Raj Studios for the film's first screening, where they also meet Aneet Padda and her parents. 'It's really nerve-wrecking. And also, he's (Ahaan) not helping much. I show my shaking hand, he's like, 'Me too!' (shows shaking hand),' Aneet says in the vlog.
During the screening, Ivor makes River peep into the theatre to watch Ahaan Panday lip-syncing on the screen, much to his nephew's surprise. He even lets out a chuckle after Ivor steps away with River in his arms. After the screening, the Panday family hug Ahaan and Aneet and admit they were all crying throughout the film.

The next day, members of the extended Panday family watch Saiyaara on the big screen too. After the screening, Ananya Panday is spotted crying and confessing to the camera, 'I never cry!' Alanna agrees and says Ananya wouldn't even cry while delivering her firstborn. Ananya reveals she had to poke her eyes to make herself cry at the wedding of Alanna and Ivor.
Ananya adds she can't tell the difference between Ahaan and his character. Her mother, Bhavana Pandey, also admits she loved Krish. Ananya's father and Ahaan's uncle Chunky Panday is also seen dancing in excitement at the screening. Bobby Deol also makes an appearance, shaking hands with Ivor.

Anupam Kher admits to stalking a girl during school days; weighs in on rising conflicts in modern relationships: ‘Why should girls tolerate…'
Veteran actor Anupam Kher recently opened up about his views on love, reflecting on how relationships during his younger days were, in his opinion, more meaningful compared to those in the current era. During the conversation, Anupam also candidly admitted to having stalked a girl during his school days and recalled how, coming from a small town, he was especially attracted to girls who studied in English-medium schools. Speaking to Raj Shamani about how relationships differed in his younger days compared to today, he said, 'I grew up in a small town there. We would take six months to look at each other, and after that, it would take three months to tell the person that you like them. Also, I was from a Hindi medium school, and I liked girls from the English medium school as there was a little outgoingness about them.' Admitting to stalking a girl during his school days because he didn't have the courage to speak to her, he said, 'There was a girl who would wear miniskirts at that time, and she had a pout. I used to just walk behind her with my best friend. We are talking about the time when everything took time and everything lasted for a longer time. We did not have much knowledge about love. We used to rise in love instead of falling in love.' When asked about which kind of love was better — his generation's or the current one — he firmly stated that the love he and his peers experienced was 'much better.' Explaining why, he said, 'Because I think relationships should be nurtured, and you should take your own time to discover a relationship. It's a discovery. Without passing judgment, there are a lot of people who were madly in love at this time also. But there was time to discover other people, and it took time to get to know each other's bad qualities.' Anupam also shared his thoughts on why conflicts are more common in relationships today, pointing to the rise in independence among both men and women. He said, 'Both of them are independent and rightfully so.' Using his parents' marriage as an example, he explained that they were married for 59 years and had clearly defined roles — his father was the breadwinner, and his mother managed the household. He added, 'Roles were divided back then and today because of the social structure, and rightfully so, girls are educated and empowered. Why should they take any kind of nonsense from a boy?'

Box Office: Saiyaara goes on an overdrive on Sunday; Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda starrer collects Rs 30 crore on day 3
The Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda-led Saiyaara has gone on an overdrive at the box office on Sunday, as very early trends are indicating Sunday business in the range of Rs 29.00 crore to Rs 31.00 crore, with chances to go higher too depending on how the night shows perform. The film was literally running to packed houses all across the board, and the exhibitors too have gone ahead to allot more shows to this Mohit Suri-directed romantic saga. The YRF-produced film opened at Rs 21.25 crore on Friday, followed by a jump to Rs 24.50 crore on Saturday, and peaking with Rs 30 crore on Sunday. The three-day total of Saiyaara is estimated to stand at Rs 75.75 crore, and the film is headed to record a strong hold in collections on Monday, as a large chunk of cinema-going audience have pre-booked their tickets for the fourth day due to capacity issues on Sunday. While the business on day one and day two was dominated by the youth and masses, the family audience have embraced the film on the third day, which is a great sign for the trajectory in long run for the romantic saga. The music has become extremely popular, and the on-ground reports are getting strong by the day, which is an early indication of an unbelievable lifetime number in the long run. These numbers have come in for rank newcomers, and it's after a while since a newcomer film has set the box office on fire. Saiyaara has successfully established Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda as potential stars in the horizon, and right choices from hereon can give the Gen-Z a new generation of heroes. These numbers are beyond historic and probably the biggest for a feature film in the post-pandemic world in real terms, as a film devoid of star-power could just hit the Rs 300 crore club in India. This is certainly the beginning of a new era, with romantic films beginning to hit the marque. If the weekend numbers have shocked you, await the weekday results, as we await the magic to hit a new high in the coming few days. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates!
