DRIVERS have been warned of traffic chaos after a "serious crash" shut down the M1 this evening.
A Herts., Police spokesperson said: 'We are advising motorists to avoid the M1 southbound between junctions five and four whilst we deal with a serious road traffic collision.

Emergency services swarmed the scene after Sunday's horror crash. 'We were alerted around 8pm to an accident with several people trapped,' a fire department spokesperson confirmed.
