MSI Claw A8 with AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme gets August launch date in Europe — here's when it may release globally
According to MSI Germany, the MSI Claw A8 is set to launch between August 4 and August 10, as it states it will be released from "week 32" of this year (spotted by VideoCardz). Pre-orders are also available around Europe, with prices at €999 at the German MSI Store.
This comes a month after the MSI Claw A8 launched in China, but there's been no mention of when it will launch in other markets, including the U.S. and the U.K. However, gaming outlet Press Start has reported that the MSI Claw A8 will release in September, with prices starting at $1,749 AUD.
Both European and Australian prices put the MSI Claw A8 at over $1,100 when converted, with many believing the gaming handheld will come in at $999. Along with the upcoming ROG Xbox Ally X tipped to be around the same price, it shows the PC handhelds are going to be quite the pricey venture for all markets.
Interestingly, MSI announced it's releasing an update that fixes the performance drops in "Manual Mode" when adjusting TDP, among other updates. Despite the handheld not being released to global markets yet, it's already getting a big update.
MSI appears to be staggering its launch of its MSI Claw A8 in different markets, as there's currently no word when it will arrive in the U.S. Tariffs could be to blame, but with these releases, it could be inching towards an official release date soon.
With the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X set to launch this fall, likely to be around October or November, MSI will want to beat Microsoft's gaming handheld to the punch, seeing as the Xbox Ally X also comes with an AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme chip.

Now, with a launch date set in Australia for this September, it's likely the other markets will follow suit — if not a little later in the month. Of course, this is all just speculation, but with the MSI Claw A8 already set to arrive in Germany (and likely the rest of Europe) this August, and the gaming handheld already getting an update, it's looking like it won't be long until we see the MSI Claw A8 arrive in more markets around the globe.
For now, we'll have to sit tight and wait awhile to see when the Ryzen Z2 Extreme-equipped MSI Claw A8 officially launches. It's set to deliver a major boost in PC handheld gaming, sporting an 80Wh battery, up to 24GB of RAM and an 8-inch 1080p 120Hz display.
We were impressed with the upcoming handheld in our hands-on with the MSI Claw A8, so here's hoping it sticks the landing.

PNE secures permit for 86.4MW German wind project
Renewables developer PNE Group has secured a permit for an 86.4MW wind farm cooperation project in the town of Loeningen in northwestern Germany. The project will be implemented as a joint venture (JV) between PNE Group and a project development company affiliated with Volksbank. The planned wind farm, which will feature 12 turbines, will generate enough climate-friendly electricity to supply 52,000 households with renewable electricity annually. The ownership rights of the turbines will be shared among three stakeholders: landowners, PNE Group and the citizens of Löningen. The community wind farm model allows local citizens to invest financially in the operation of the turbines, fostering a sense of ownership and involvement. PNE chief operating officer Roland Stanze stated: 'Getting the permit for the Überhäsiges Viertel wind farm is a big milestone for the project and shows how closely we work with locals and other regional partners. 'This project once again demonstrates how important it is for us to engage in dialogue with local people on an equal footing. Only through such partnerships can sustainable projects be implemented successfully and in line with economic and social requirements.' In April 2025, PNE Group secured approval to construct two onshore wind energy projects in Hesse and an earth-based solar photovoltaic facility in Brandenburg, Germany. The Herzhausen wind project will include six turbines, each with a rated power of 5.5MW - a collective production capacity of 33MW. "PNE secures permit for 86.4MW German wind project" was originally created and published by Power Technology, a GlobalData owned brand. Apple reportedly releasing new Apple TV 4K this fall — here's all the upgrades
Apple is set to release a new Apple TV 4K model later this Fall, according to a new report from MacRumors. The report claims an unnamed source revealed that Apple is "highly likely" to update its streaming box before the end of 2025. Additionally, the current model will be discontinued. The Apple TV 4K debuted in 2022 and featured an A15 Bionic chip, HDR10+ support, plus a new Siri Remote with USB-C charging. Apple has traditionally updated its streaming device every three years. Unlike the yearly iPhone, we haven't come across many rumors or leaks regarding the updated Apple TV. Here's what we do know so far. Most rumors have tied the streaming device to Apple's delayed smart home push that was supposed to kick off with a new HomePod 3, which also might still launch in late 2025. The Apple TV would be able to integrate via a smart display or be controlled by the smarter HomePod. It will likely feature a newer chip, possibly the A19 that will go in the iPhone 17 or maybe the current A18 processor. It's supposed to have support for Wi-Fi 7 and an Apple-designed Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip, part of helping it sync with smart home devices better. Some wilder ideas include Apple introducing a built-in camera to the box, which was teased by tvOS 17, adding a FaceTime app. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. There were also rumors that Apple is building its own OLED TV, despite shelving a similar idea years ago. Last year, it was reported that Apple might release an upgraded but less expensive version of Apple TV, which would sell for under $100, about $30 less than the 64GB Apple TV currently available. Currently, the rumor mill has Apple releasing the new device in a wide window between September and December of this year. It's possible it could debut during the September iPhone 17 launch event or shuffle out on its own later in October when Apple typically releases the newest MacBooks. Tesla gives sneak peak at updated model set to hit market in fall — here are the details
Tesla is giving a sneak peek at its newest electric vehicle, which is due to hit the market in the fall. According to Teslarati, Tesla announced the new Model Y L on its Weibo page in China. The images show the Y is stylized on the vehicle. The China Ministry of Industry and Information Technology listing indicates the car will be bigger than the latest Model Y EV. The newest Model Y is "4,797 mm long, 1,920 mm wide, and 1,624 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,890 mm," per Teslarati. That's compared to the Model Y L, which is 4,976 mm long, 1,920 mm wide, 1,668 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 3,040 mm. The bigger car also allows for six seats. The Model Y L comes equipped with a dual motor and "peak power outputs of 142 kW and 198 kW for the front and rear motors," per the publication. The batteries are listed as being supplied by LG Energy Solution. No price has been released, but it's expected to cost about 400,000 yuan ($55,764). It is also unknown if the U.S. and German gigafactories will produce the vehicle. The announcement of a new Tesla model comes amid a tough year for the electric vehicle company. According to CNBC, Tesla's net income fell 71% in the first quarter of 2025. Some consumers were unhappy with Tesla CEO Elon Musk's involvement in the current political administration, and they voted with their wallets. Increased competition in the lucrative EV market has also made a dent in Tesla's market share. Despite the company's turmoil, the increasing variety of EVs available to consumers makes it easier and more affordable to switch to an EV. If you do, you could save up to $1,500 a year on gas and maintenance. EVs are also better for the environment, as a study conducted by a UC Berkeley professor indicates. The professor set up 57 sensors in the San Francisco Bay Area that tracked polluting gases. It found that the toxic gases decreased by 1.8% annually. Imagine how much that number will grow as more people switch to EVs. To maximize the savings associated with EV ownership, consider installing solar panels. It's cheaper than going to charging stations or relying on the grid at home. EnergySage offers a simple marketplace that helps you find local providers and compare prices. The energy company can even help you save up to $10,000 on installation. Would you be more likely to get an EV if it helped cut your energy costs?
