Michelle Obama is still putting her boots on the ground—and we love that for her. Our forever First Lady hit Instagram Stories this weekend with a behind-the-scenes clip of her getting into the groove of the now-iconic 'Boots on the Ground line dance.
As previously reported, Michelle took her moves to the stage with Tina Knowles during a recent conversation in Washington, D.C. This capture appeared to happen around the time of the stage appearance.
In the Instagram Stories content, Michelle looked fresh and fab as ever. The Chicago native rocked light-wash cuffed jeans, silver pointed-toe boot heels, and a flowy blue-and-white button-down shirt with chic shoulder cutouts. She styled her hair in a braided ponytail that swung from left to right as Michelle got the 'Boots on the Ground' beat.
The post doubled as a promo for her recent live podcast episode with Tina. Michelle linked her podcast convo in her story, but the dance moment? That's what stopped our scrolling. Michelle reminded us why she's not just a political icon, but a whole vibe. Michelle Obama's 'Boots On The Ground' Story Proves The Song Is The Hit Of The Summer
At this point, 'Boots on the Ground' isn't just a TikTok trend—it's a cultural staple. Niecy Nash had her whole cowboy-themed birthday party lined up for it. Taraji P. Henson attended, among other celebrities, and led the dance.
Even Vice President Kamala Harris has posted herself learning the moves.
As summer kicks off, don't be surprised if this is the go-to dance at every cookout, day party, and wedding reception. Because if Michelle's still stepping? So are we.
Watch Michelle and Tina's conversation about life, motherhood, sacrifice, style, and more.

Teyana Taylor Talks Aaron Pierre And Health Issues As Instyle's Latest Cover Star
Source: Kristina Bumphrey / Getty Teyana Taylor is booked and busy, but she took a little of her limited downtime to talk to InStyle and appear as one of their Imagemakers covers. Taylor revealed recently that she's has to have vocal cord surgery, which happened just about the time she was scheduled to drop her album Escape Room on Aug. 22. 'I've been quietly dealing with some vocal challenges for a while now,' Taylor posted on her Instagram Stories. 'And after a lot of back and forth with my doctors, I've been told I need vocal surgery immediately. They found a noncancerous growth on one of my cords that's been messing with my voice and causing real discomfort. Thankfully, we caught it & it's treatable—but it does mean I need to pause and give myself time to fully heal.' Taylor, 34, is on a generational run with a slate of five movie and TV projects on the way with co-stars like Leonard DiCaprio and collaborators like Ryan Murphy, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and Kim Kardashian. The first, One Battle After Another with DiCaprio and Sean Penn, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, comes out Sept. 26. All's Fair, a Ryan Murphy legal drama series with Kardashian, Niecy Nash and Sarah Paulson, is headed to Hulu this fall. Escape Room is her first musical project in five years, and the 'visual album's' single, 'Bed of Roses,' included some provocative shots with her rumored boyfriend, British actor Aaron Pierre whose breakthrough role in Netflix's Ruby Ridge propelled him to stardom. We care about your data. See our privacy policy. She told InStyle that she didn't want to talk much about it, but did say, 'I just go with the flow, and I'm trying things a little differently' this time. 'Just protecting my peace and privacy.' She did say that none of the crumbs dropped about their relationship, including photos from a post-Oscar party or footage from his birthday party in June, were an attempt at a 'hard launch' of their relationship. She is a little more forthcoming with Nessa Diab, the Hot 97 personality who is also (as she recently confirmed) Colin Kaepernick's wife. When asked directly if she was dating Pierre, Taylor said again that she wanted to try 'something different.' 'People are praying on your downfall,' she said. 'People are praying on the health that you are building. What me and Aaron have is very healthy. It's very gentle, and it's very soft, and it's very kind, and it's very sweet, and it's very warm, and it's one of the best feelings that I've ever had. And most importantly, it's so safe. And I don't want us to be robbed of that. He's so special to me.' Escape Room is expected to come out on schedule. One of the unique features of the release is spoken word interludes from actors including Taraji P. Henson, Paulson, Jodie Turner-Smith and Kerry Washington. Taylor says that while surgery came just as she was heavily promoting the album's release, sometimes life hands you the break you need. 'It's always easier to go to work when it's with people that you love, cherish, and appreciate, and when it's with people that don't play about you,' she told InStyle. 'I've had a lot of ups and downs within this music industry, like my love-hate relationship with music, different things like that. Escape Room is for people to escape anything .' She added, 'There are a million things that could and will break your heart. Whether it's a relationship, whether it's a business 'ship, whether it's leaving a company, anything that does not serve you, does not see you, appreciate you, value you, you must escape—sometimes even including ourselves. Sometimes we go through these stages where we're just not us. Sometimes you gotta escape back to yourself. Escape back to the best version of you.' Denzel Washington Cooked Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones So Bad Even Stephen A. Smith Was Speechless
Source: Bruce Glikas / Getty The Dallas Cowboys have been so uneventful over the past few years that even Denzel Washington is calling out owner Jerry Jones. Washington was promoting Highest 2 Lowest, the latest Spike Lee joint, on First Take Tuesday morning, and went off about the Cowboys, a team Stephen A. Smith relishes in hating. The New York native starts with love, recalling how he became interested in the team as a kid because they shared a similar style of play with his high school team. We care about your data. See our privacy policy. 'I've been a Cowboys fan since the '60s, he's making it hard for me,' he begins. 'Not to be a fan, because I'll still have a star on the side of my hat. But he's not thinking about us, he's thinking about his pockets.' Spike Lee eggs him on with a laugh, saying, 'Get Jerry Jones on the phone.' Professional sports teams are unlike any other establishment when it comes to determining their success. Usually, it's about money, and since the Cowboys hold the title of the most valuable sports franchise in the world, with a $9 billion valuation, they've already got that on lock. But when it comes to winning, no one takes them seriously since they haven't won a Super Bowl since 1997, which was also the last time they advanced to the NFC championship game. They've also only won four playoff games in the last 25 years, with losses including 2023's Wild Card round, 2022's Divisional Round, and 2021's Wild Card round. Stephen A. Smith has spoken with Jones about the team's on-field success, and Jones just touts the 'recognition, notoriety, and dollars' the team makes. Washington draws a comparison between sports and his world of acting, calling out Jerry Jones. 'There's box office, and then there's Oscars, Jerry. Been a while, huh? You ain't been to the show, you wouldn't know,' Washington says while looking dead into the camera. 'You haven't been to the show, so you don't know what it is to win.' Even the usually talkative Stephen A. Smith admits to being speechless, as Washington says that there's no beef, and his passion comes from being a fan for so long. Washington jumping into the never-ending Cowboys debate is only the latest surprising addition, as last week Nicki Minaj unknowingly got involved when Dez Bryant was name-dropped. See how social media is reacting to Washington's appearance on the sports debate show below. Denzel Washington Cooked Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones So Bad Even Stephen A. 'One of her best yet': Michelle Keegan leads gripping 'edge of your seat' thriller from Fool Me Once producers
We have been loving watching Michelle Keegan embrace the thriller side of her career, first as the lead in Harlan Coben's Fool Me Once, where she played a woman reeling from the death of her husband only to find him alive on a nanny cam. And now she's stepping into another thriller series, and this time - she's playing the detective. Keegan, is set to star alongside Douglas Booth in ITV's The Blame, a drama series that promises to be an "edge of your seat" thriller, as Keegan and Booth's police characters are called in to investigate the murder of a young girl. With ITV's head of drama Polly Hill, saying of the new series: 'The Blame is a brilliant new crime thriller full of surprising twists and a compelling investigation that also cleverly tackles police corruption, exploitation and misogyny as the thriller unravels. Megan is such a wonderful and clever writer, and with Michelle Keegan in the lead and Nicola Shindler at the helm, this is going to be an unmissable drama and one I'm very proud to have on ITV.' The series was just announced and already we can't wait for it to drop and so if you're just as curious as us, here's what to know about it. The Blame is a six-part ITV series, based on the novel of the same name by Charlotte Langley that will see Michelle Keegan star as DI Crane, who alongside her colleague DI Radley (Booth), will investigate the death of a young figure skater, Sophie Madsen, whose body is discovered and sends shock waves through the community. As they delve deeper into the mystery Crane discovers a web of lies and a deep level of corruption within her own team. The series is produced by Nicola Shindler and Richard Fee (who worked with Michelle on Fool Me Once), at for Quay Street Productions, who said, 'We are so delighted to be working with Megan [Gallagher, the series writer] again, she is an exceptional writer who has written a compelling series taking viewers on a twisty journey to discover what really happened through the lens of a contemporary police station brimming with secrets, corruption, and betrayal. "We are also thrilled at the brilliant cast led by Michelle and Douglas, who will keep viewers on the edge of their seats, wondering who to trust at a time when the themes explored in The Blame are more relevant than ever.' Leading the series will be Michelle Keegan as DI Emma Crane. Michelle is of course best known for her roles in Fool Me Once, Our Girl, Ten Pound Poms and Brassic. She'll be starring alongside Douglas Booth who is playing DI Tom Radley. Over the years Douglas has had prominent roles in projects such as LOL, Romeo and Juliet, Great Expectations and The Sandman. Also joining the cast are: Unfortunately as the series has only just been announced and filming is beginning this summer in and around London, we could have quite a while to wait for the series to drop on ITV.
