Alan Rachins Dies: 'LA Law' And 'Dharma & Greg' Actor Was 82
Born February 21, 1946 in Chicago, Fisher attended law school at UCLA in the '60s before working at the Los Angeles District Attorney's office and going into entertainment law. After publishing two novels, A Class Act (1976) and Good Behavior (1979), she quit law to pursue writing full time.
Fisher began writing for Cagney & Lacey in 1983 before co-creating NBC's L.A. Law with Steven Bochco in 1986, running for eight seasons until 1994. Her time on the show ended following a 1988 legal battle with Bochco and 20th Century Fox.
'One thing that I don't want women to feel is … that they can't take on the big boys, because they'll get you — that was the one thing I was upset about,' Fisher told the Los Angeles Times in 1988. 'Some people think (the TV industry) is an old boys network. I've never thought so. I got a lot of really upsetting letters from women who viewed it that way.'

Fisher and Bochco also co-created the ABC series Hooperman, which ran for two seasons, starring John Ritter as the titular San Francisco police inspector.
She later created the short-lived Aaron Spelling CBS drama 2000 Malibu Road in 1992, featuring a young Drew Barrymore and Jennifer Beals.

The Traitors Cast Including Michael Rapaport Causes Backlash
Peacock just announced the cast of Season 4 of The Traitors, and so far, the response has not been great. You expect a random mix of celebrities for this show, but some fans think the show took things a step in the wrong direction by adding Michael Rapaport to the cast. If Peacock's goal was to get people talking, it definitely worked. Michael was one of 23 stars confirmed for Season 4 of The Traitors. If history repeats itself, there might be one or two late additions to the game as well. Either way, social media immediately lit up with reactions to seeing Michael in the lineup, and it's not because of his terrible acting skills. It's because of his extensive history of using racist language and sharing far-right talking points on his social media. 'Amazing Traitors cast sans Michael Rapaport. He's a piece of sh*t and it's extremely annoying that Bravo and Peacock keep giving him a platform,' wrote one Traitors fan. Another said, 'Peacock and NBC continuing to platform Michael Rapaport as he spews bigoted hateful ideology is so dangerous. I desperately need him to be the first murder #TheTraitorsUS.' Scroll through Twitter/X for as long as you want, and you'll be hard pressed to find anyone thrilled about having this man on the beloved, Emmy-winning show. Plenty of Traitors fans, however, are hoping to see him get kicked out of the castle sooner rather than later. 'Traitor or not, banish Michael Rapaport first,' one person quipped. Although most fans are bashing Peacock for including Michael, it's worth highlighting that there are some positive elements to this cast. They've got five Real Housewives in the cast, including the return of Dorinda Medley. There's also a wealth of LGBTQ representation, with Monet X Change, Kristen Kish, and Johnny Weir in the lineup. Let's hold out hope that it's enough to erase the stain. The Traitors Season 4 comes to Peacock in 2026. TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE TRAITORS SEASON 4 CAST? DO YOU THINK INCLUDING MICHAEL RAPAPORT WAS A MISTAKE? The post The Traitors Cast Including Michael Rapaport Causes Backlash appeared first on Reality Tea.

And the Emmy goes to … Trea Turner? Documentary on Philadelphia Phillies star's ovation wins award.
PHILADELPHIA — And the Emmy goes to … Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Trea Turner? Turner already won an NL batting title and a World Series championship ring in his 11-year MLB career. How about adding an Emmy Award to that trophy case? 'Trea Turner's an Emmy winner, absolutely,' sports documentary producer Kyle Thrash said. 'He definitely held it up like he owned it.' Turner may not actually have the award in hand to keep for good, but he got to hoist the real deal ahead of Friday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays in a short celebration for the Emmy won for a best sports short documentary produced on the 2023 standing ovation credited with turning around his season. 'The Turnaround' won a sports Emmy in May, and Thrash and Phillies fan Jon McCann — whose personal struggles with mental health and kinship with Turner were the heart of the film — attended the game to show off their new bling to Turner. 'Cuz, we did it, huh?' McCann said as he shook Turner's hand on the field after batting practice. 'Trea Turner, we share an Emmy together.' Turner read the inscription at the bottom of the Emmy and promised fans he would wave to them in section 301 if he stole a base in Friday's game. 'We get to bring a trophy back to the ballpark tonight and share it with so many people that were involved in the standing ovation. It's pretty incredible,' Thrash said. Philly sports fans — often billed as some of the worst in sports — gave a slumping Turner standing ovations in at-bats throughout the weekend in an August 2023 series to show he had their full support. Turner was in the first season of an 11-year, $300 million deal with the Phillies but was batting just .238 with 11 home runs and 39 RBIs. He was even dropped to eighth in the batting order headed into that series against the Royals. In three games over the weekend against the Royals, Turner went 4-for-12 with two doubles, a home run and five RBIs and he would eventually help lead the Phillies to the playoffs. Turner later helped pay for 'Thank You, Philly' digital billboards in the greater Philadelphia area. The documentary was produced by Higher Ground, the media company founded by former President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama McCann, also known as 'The Philly Captain,' is a Philadelphia based YouTuber and was one of the fans — along with a Philly sports talk radio host — credited with rallying the fans to get behind Turner. 'During the ceremony, one of the award presenters said, 'When you go up against the Olympics, you lose.' So I kind of thought we already lost,' McCann said. 'We didn't. It was a great, great shock.'
