Daniel Dubois was late for Oleksandr Usyk fight for mind-blowing reason
Dubois, 27, briefly left the house as he didn't recognise the attendees. His father later drove him to Wembley after private cars, accredited to enter the area around the national stadium, were used to transport guests to the venue.
This further delayed Dubois' arrival as the car they travelled in wasn't accredited, and he didn't enter the venue until 80 minutes before the scheduled ring walk time. Usyk arrived an hour earlier.
There were also chaotic scenes when entering the venue over getting some of those party guests into the venue with Dubois caught up in the middle of it all.
Dubois was defeated by Usyk in the fifth round of the fight, surrendering the IBF belt while the Ukrainian became a three-time undisputed champion, reports the Mirror.
Promoter Frank Warren has suggested that Dubois take six months off and learn from the man who has handed him two career defeats when it comes to mental resilience.
The delay in reaching the venue hasn't been used as an excuse by Dubois' team for the comprehensive defeat at the hands of Usyk. However, it is another indication of the peculiar relationship he has with his father.
Some critics - such as heavyweight Dave Allen - have argued that Stan should not have been in the corner shouting instructions over lead trainer Don Charles. It was Charles who threw the towel in as referee Michael Griffin waved the fight off when Dubois did not beat the count.

Stroll, 26, had enjoyed a strong run to P7 in the chaotic race despite qualifying down in P18 the day before. Schumacher, 50, had said: "I have to say, this statement is very disappointing, and quite honestly, it's a question of manners. You have to imagine the public perception of it. "The mechanics who work day in, day out so that the two of them can race - and then the boss's son comes along and says: 'Wonderful, and with such a s*** car'. It's unspeakable and doesn't indicate a good upbringing. "I really don't know what film he's living in, but it's a shame to ruin his own result like that. Dear Lance, apologise to the team." The German's comments were the straw which broke the camel's back regarding Aston's feelings about their coverage being unbalanced before banning interviews with them. While this move is not a blanket ban, one-on-one style interviews between team members and the organisation have been ruled out over the feeling of biased coverage. His colleague Peter Hardenacke added: 'We were a bit too critical of the people at Aston Martin.' Toto Wolff defends F1 driver Lewis Hamilton after 'useless' comments Sky are still free to speak to the team's drivers in the TV pen on Saturdays and Sundays and senior leadership on Friday, but had seldom shown much interest in doing so. However, positive talks have taken place and it is hoped a resolution will soon be reached between the team and broadcaster, who are said to have admitted some of their comments and coverage were too harsh. SunSport have contacted Sky Germany for further comment. Following the Hungarian Grand Prix, the F1 season is now entering its summer shutdown. McLaren duo Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris lead the drivers championship with just nine points separating them, with current top dog Piastri trailed by Verstappen by a staggering 97 points. Aston Martin pair Fernando Alonso and Stroll sit P11 and P12 in the standings with 26 points apiece, propping the team up to sixth in the constructor's. 3

Irish amateur smashes in 'Puskas contender' to amazement of teammates
Grassroots football usually provides us with a few viral sensations each season, usually for the wrong reasons. Hilarious misses, horrific tackles and unseemly brawls are all part of the game at the lower levels but occasionally we get a glimpse of a piece of magic. That is certainly the case in the case of the Cork Business League this week were long-serving Grangevale AFC striker Billy Tabb scored the goal of this, or any, season. Grangevale AFC are based on the south side of Cork City and they were playing Cork Hospitals in the Cork Business league last weekend. The play starts with a kick from the goalkeeper's hands out to the right side of midfield which is expertly taken out of the air and the ball is slipped up the wing. From there, a ball is pinged towards the far side of the penalty box. Tabb reads the flight of the ball better than the defenders and takes the ball on his head, crucially knocking it well into the air. This gives him time to execute the sweetest of left foot bicycle kicks that rockets past the Cork Hospitals goalkeeper. The goal draws gasps of amazements from the crowd, with some of Tabb's teammates opting for the classic hands on head in amazement reaction to a wondergoal. Thankfully for Tabb the whole move and finish was caught on camera and the clip has gone viral on social media, with thousands of views in a matter of hours. Grangevale only joined the Cork Business League last August, having previously operates in the traditional Cork Athletic Union League (AUL). After enjoying notable success in league and cup in recent seasons, the Grange-based club made the decision to join the former Shipping League following a raft of player withdrawals over the last two seasons. Eight players departed as a result of emigration and work commitments last season while striker Tabb was out with a long-term injury. It's fair to say Tabb is back to his best.
