More Iowa women's basketball schedule details emerge
Anticipation for the Iowa women's basketball season that's ahead continues to build. The Hawkeyes' freshman class—guards Addie Deal and Journey Houston and post Layla Hays—moved in over the weekend.
News also broke on the Iowa women's basketball 2025-26 schedule. Several more dates on that Hawkeye schedule were revealed.
According to Kyle Huesmann of Hawkeye Report, Iowa will host Western Illinois on Nov. 25, Fairfield on Nov. 30 and Lindenwood on Dec. 13.
Iowa leads the all-time series against Western Illinois, 9-2. The most recent meeting came on Dec. 22, 2020, in a 92-65 Hawkeye win. Former Iowa big Monika Czinano scored 19 points in that victory. Western Illinois finished last season with a 17-17 record.
Iowa's date against Fairfield will be the two schools' first meeting. Fairfield advanced to last year's NCAA Tournament and finished with a 28-5 record. The Stags earned a No. 12 seed before falling to fifth-seeded Kansas State.
Fairfield also advanced to the 2024 NCAA Tournament and had a 31-2 record during that campaign.
Iowa will also meet Lindenwood for the first time in program history. Lindenwood advanced to the WNIT's third round and finished with a 23-11 mark.
Hawkeye Report's public records request also revealed that Iowa will travel to Northern Iowa on Nov. 16 and that the Hawkeyes will face Baylor and Miami in the 2025 WBCA Showcase.
The Hawkeyes' 2025-26 Big Ten opponents were also previously unveiled. Iowa will host Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State, Penn State, Washington and Oregon. Meanwhile, the Hawkeyes will travel to Indiana, Maryland, Rutgers, Purdue, Northwestern, Wisconsin, UCLA and USC.
Iowa's lone conference foe that it will play both home and away is Nebraska.
Iowa will also travel to Iowa State on Dec. 10 and will play defending national champion Connecticut in the Women's Champions Classic on Dec. 20.

LSU women's basketball releases complete schedule for 2025-26 season: Dates and matchups
LSU women's basketball released its schedule for the 2025-26 season. The Tigers run back a starting lineup with returning guards Flau'Jae Johnson and Mikaylah Williams and expect to make another NCAA Tournament run. Head coach Kim Mulkey's staff added key transfer portal forwards, led by Notre Dame transfer Kate Koval, along with signing the nation's top recruiting class. The group now knows who they'll be facing off against and the locations. LSU begins the year with two exhibition games against Mississippi College and Langston inside the PMAC before the season opener against Houston Christian on November 4. The Tigers welcome in-state rival Southeastern Louisiana two days later. On November 17, the Tigers hit the road for the first time, heading to New Orleans to face Tulane. Eleven days later, they travel to the U.S. Virgin Islands for the Paradise Jam, where they will face Marist, followed by either Miami-Ohio or Washington State. LSU heads to Durham to face Duke on December 4 as part of the ACC/SEC challenge, then continues its road trip against New Orleans three days later. It opens SEC play against Kentucky on January 1, then travels to Vanderbilt and Georgia, who beat the Tigers to close out the regular season last year Texas is the lone opponent on the 16-game SEC schedule that LSU faces twice. The first matchup will be in the PMAC and will mark the most difficult opponent to date. It will be the first time the two teams face off in Baton Rouge since the Longhorns joined the conference. They beat LSU in both contests last year. Alabama comes to the PMAC on February 1, but the Crimson Tide will have a new look after multiple key contributors departed from the team that took LSU to overtime last year. Following that contest is the second game against Texas, this one in Austin. Mulkey comes face to face with South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley inside the PMAC when the Gamecocks come to town on February 14. It will be LSU transfer MiLaysia Fulwiley's first game against her former team. She scored eight points in South Carolina's 66-56 victory. Tennessee heads to Baton Rouge on February 26 in its second year under head coach Kim Caldwell. After closing out the season at Mississippi State, LSU starts its bid for an SEC Tournament title. The postseason begins March 4 then the NCAA Tournament commences March 18.

Mia Binkowski commits to Tennessee soccer
Tennessee soccer and head coach Joe Kirt received a commitment from a 2027 prospect on Wednesday. Mia Binkowski, a rising junior and defender for Battlefield High School in Haymarket, Virginia, announced her commitment to the Lady Vols. "Committed," Binkowski said. "Thank you Bobby Puppione and coach Alex for everything. Thank you to the entire Tennessee staff!" Binkowski's commitment was on the same day the Lady Vols opened their 2025 season with an exhibition match at Chattanooga. She plays club soccer for Virginia Development Academy in Woodbridge, Virginia. Tennessee will play its final exhibition match Saturday. The Lady Vols will host Clemson at Regal Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is slated for noon EDT. The Lady Vols will open their 2025 regular season on Aug. 14 versus North Carolina at Regal Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. EDT. Tennessee will host Eastern Kentucky Aug. 17 in a match that will be contested at 1 p.m. EDT. SEC announces complete 2025-26 basketball schedule
The Oklahoma basketball team and the rest of the Southeastern Conference know who is on their league slates this 2025-26 basketball season after the league announced the conference schedule on Wednesday. Every team in the league will play the other at least once, and each team will get three opponents twice. Two of those three are considered permanent rivals, while the third will change each year. For the Sooners, the permanent rivals are Texas and Missouri. All three formerly played in the Big 12. Missouri left for the SEC for the 2012-13 academic year, while OU and Texas joined the SEC last year. The Sooners finished the 2024-25 season 20-14 overall and 6-12 in conference play.
