Your Amazfit Active 2 might have been lying about your workouts, but not anymore

Phone Arena4 days ago
Amazfit might not be the first name people drop when talking smartwatches, but it's been quietly owning the budget smartwatch scene for a while now. Earlier this year, the company launched the $99 Amazfit Active 2 and if you are one of the folks who picked one up, it is time to check for a software update.
The Amazfit Active 2 is now getting a new software update – version 6.1.20.3 – just a few weeks after the last one (6.1.20.2), which took care of some map-related bugs. This time around, the update tackles an annoying problem tied to Strength Training workouts.
Some users had been reporting that after finishing a workout, the watch didn't save the new session – instead, it weirdly showed details from the previous one. Not ideal when you are trying to track your gains.
Thankfully, according to the release notes, that bug is now squashed. So if you use Strength Training mode, this update should fix your logging headaches.

The new firmware is rolling out in phases, so it might not hit everyone at once. To check if it's available for your watch:
Make sure your Amazfit Active 2 is paired with your phone via the Zepp app. Open the Zepp app and go to your Profile. Select System Update to check and install any available updates. The Amazfit Active 2 continues to be a good pick for anyone who wants a feature-packed smartwatch without breaking the bank. I mean, for $99 or even less, since you can often find great discounts, you get: Over 160 workout modes
Turn-by-turn Maps navigation
AI assistance
Contactless payments with NFC (well, for the premium $130 variant)
Up to 10 days battery life
Free Zepp app with health and fitness tracking insights And while most people don't expect great support from budget-friendly devices, Amazfit has been regularly pushing out updates and bug fixes, which is honestly refreshing.Compared to something like the CMF Watch Pro 2, which is even cheaper at $69, the Active 2 is a clear winner on overall value. The CMF lacks NFC and contactless payments, and it still uses a USB-A charger, which in 2025 feels like plugging into the past. Nothing CMF Watch Pro 2 review: The anti-smartwatch smartwatch
So yeah, if you already own the Active 2 – make sure to grab the latest update. And if you are considering one? It's hard to argue with what it offers at that price point. Secure your connection now at a bargain price!

Motorola is giving new clothes to its Edge 60 Fusion mid-ranger

Motorola announced the Edge 60 Fusion back in April, and the phone is already available for purchase in many markets around the globe. Currently, the Edge 60 Fusion is available in four PANTONE flavors: Slipstream, Amazonite, Mykonos Blue, and Zephyr. However, the US- based handset maker plans to launch an additional color option for the Edge 60 Fusion: PANTONE Mocha Mousse. It's the same color Motorola used for the much more expensive Razr 50 Ultra and Razr+ 2024, as well as for the Edge 50 Neo. Keep in mind that depending on the market, some of these colors might not be available, but it's probably safe to assume that Motorola will want to make the new Mocha Mousse color option for the Edge 60 Fusion available in as many markets as possible. Fun fact: Mocha Mousse was declared the Color of the Year 2025. It remains to be seen when exactly Motorola will bring the Mocha Mousse-colored Edge 60 Fusion to market, but the recently leaked high-resolution picture confirms its existence. Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is a bit of a disappointment, especially if you're a fan of the brand. The phone doesn't bring too many improvements over similarly priced phones from last year, such as the Motorola Edge 50 Neo or Edge 50 Fusion. Other than that, the Edge 60 Fusion seems to be a phone that should not exist. Not to mention that it's much cheaper than the Edge 60 Fusion. Other notable competitors for the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion are the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G, Oppo Reno 12, Realme 14 Pro, and even Nothing's CMF Phone 1.

Dig deeper in Google Search with AI Overview and three buttons

Just because a query you ask Google Search to respond to in Android or iOS includes an AI Overview response, that doesn't mean that your journey to get an answer to your question has ended. Google now highlights part of an AI Overview response in blue. Tap on the highlighted words and three buttons appear at the bottom of the display. Whatever is covered in blue will be the topic of the AI-generated info brought up by the buttons. So you can select which part of the AI Overview you want to be highlighted before diving in deeper. The three new buttons include: Explain this -pressing this button will generate an AI-driven explanation covering the activity discussed in the highlighted blue portion of the AI Overview. For example, in an example, Google Search is asked, "What is Android?"AI Overview appears and there is a blue highlighted "snippet" that says, "Android is a mobile operating system developed by Google primarily for mobile devices." For most people, this answer would not be sufficient. Seeing Google offering this comes as no surprise since other AI features are being added to Google's own apps. Google even plans on offering AI-sourced summaries for articles posted in your Discover feed.
