Emmerdale's Cain vows to kill Nate's killer as John reels
Yesterday, Cain confronted Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) again and told her that the Dingles will be at the funeral tomorrow, whether she likes it or not.
The showdown between the Dingles and the rest of Nate's relatives featured the family walking through Main Street with Sam Dingle (James Hooton) banging a drum.
Outside the church, Cain and Tracy began arguing again but it was stopped by John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth). He wanted Cain and Tracy to call a truce, but it was clear he also wanted them to stop because his guilt was becoming overwhelming.
John had to completely ignore his guilt again a moment later, as Tracy asked him to read her eulogy. With DS Walsh present and it now village gossip that Tracy was entitled to Nate's life insurance, she feared reading the eulogy would fuel the theory that she killed Nate for cash.
John stood up but with eyes on him, the pressure was on.
Instead of reading Tracy's speech, he spoke from the heart himself, noting that Nate was a good man, and wouldn't want Tracy and Cain constantly fighting.
At the wake, as Nate's family gathered in the pub, Cain stayed at the graveside for a moment to himself. He was then joined by Tracy, who admitted in an emotional conversation that she knows Cain didn't kill Nate.
And Cain then admitted the same – he knows Tracy didn't murder Nate either.
It was a huge moment for the two characters, who hugged to comfort each other over the grief.

After finding some common ground, Tracy and Cain returned to the pub with the conclusion that they can figure out who killed Nate, if they both work together. More Trending
As residents started to depart the pub, John and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) discovered Cain and Tracy's new plan.
Cain concluded that he may have let Nate down while he was alive, but he's not going to do the same thing anymore. He said that he will find who murdered Nate and when he does, he'll kill them.
And suffice to say John was very afraid.

Two I'm A Celebrity legends 'set to return' for epic All Stars series
The I'm A Celebrity… South Africa all stars series is officially returning to ITV later in 2025—and not one but two legendary jungle stars are in talks to come back. Starting in 2024, I'm A Celebrity… South Africa reunites old campmates from the ITV game show. This time, however, they're trading the Australian jungle for the desert. Last series saw the likes of Shaun Ryder, Gillian McKeith, Helen Flanagan, Phil Tufnell, and Jordan Banjo giving up luxuries for a gruelling challenge once more. The competition was ultimately won by Myleene Klass, who had originally finished second during the show's sixth series almost 20 years ago… but now, two more famous faces are coming for her crown. According to reports, beloved King of the Jungle Harry Redknapp is close to signing on the dotted line with ITV bosses. Wake up to find news on your TV shows in your inbox every morning with Metro's TV Newsletter. Sign up to our newsletter and then select your show in the link we'll send you so we can get TV news tailored to you. As per The Sun, Harry, 78, who became the oldest-ever winner in 2018 and was paid £500,000 for his stint, will fly back out for round two in autumn before the series airs in the New Year. 'It's going to be a real coup,' a source told the paper. 'Harry is TV gold and was first on the list of wannabe celebrity contestants.' The football icon's win in the main series was watched by 11million people, with the nation reduced to tears as he was reunited with his wife, Sandra, on the bridge after, having frequently declared his love for her while in camp. Harry's first run for Jungle champ made him one of the programme's high earners, but the likes of Coleen Rooney and Nigel Farage still come out on top, having received a mega £1.5million for their signings. And Harry's people are remaining tight-lipped on his career plans currently, as a spokesperson for the sports star said in response to the rumours: 'This is speculation.' Meanwhile, there's another huge name already attached to the upcoming South Africa series… and it's Gemma Collins. The Towie star and TV personality, 44, is one of the most treasured personalities on British TV, and ITV is apparently hoping she'll boost viewing figures again this time around. Gemma infamously only managed three days in the Jungle when she was last on the show and made no secret of how much she hated every second. 'People who murder get treated better than this,' she famously said before quitting. 'That's the truth. Even a murderer gets fed three times a day.' Gemma's tears and tantrums gave social media a meme collection that still gets used today, so it's no surprise she's wanted back. A source told The Sun previously: 'She hated it first time round, but knows it would be TV gold for her fans if she gave it another go. 'The discussions could go either way, but signing her would be a huge win for execs.' For Gemma fans hoping she'll give I'm A Celebrity a second try, the recent rumours line up very nicely with comments the Dancing On Ice star made in 2019. Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show, she said: 'I will never forget getting the call. Looking back, I don't feel I was ready for that show. I was new to TV; I was the underdog on Towie. 'I wasn't the best-looking girl, I didn't have a model figure, I was this car girl from Romford selling cars. I was being put in the Jungle, and in hindsight, I wasn't ready for it.' She continued: I felt hugely out of my depth—I was petrified. If I was to go back now, I've got more experience. I've got a tougher skin now, and I think that's where the GC came into play. If they asked me back, yes, I'd go back.' Things didn't get off to a good start when Gemma went into the jungle in 2014, firstly refusing to parachute into camp with the rest of her teammates. She then withdrew due to panic attacks and later said that her ex-boyfriend, Alexander Moss, had 'severely beaten' her the night before she joined. The reality star said that ITV advised against her entering at first, but Gemma insisted she didn't want to waste the opportunity of a lifetime. Alexander, now 44, was eventually jailed for 21 months in 2019. More Trending Gemma told the Everything I Know About Me podcast: '[There was] all the embarrassment of like, you know what the TV programmes were saying, 'Gemma Collins left the Jungle, she was hungry, she was this.' And it wasn't my fault. 'I can remember lying in my flat where I lived and just thinking, I just want to die. I haven't done anything wrong. I've left the Jungle because of something that happened to me.' ITV has been contacted for comment. I'm a Celebrity… South Africa will return to ITV1 and ITVX early next year. Got a story? EastEnders legend set to make shock return to Walford after 11 years - weeks after two other iconic characters confirm their return to screens
EastEnders favourite Nicholas Bailey will make a shock return as Dr. Anthony Trueman to the soap, more than a decade since he was last seen in Walford. The character – son of Patrick Trueman (played by Rudolph Walker) – will be back on screens in scenes to air in the summer. Anthony first arrived on the Square in 2000 and quickly made waves, thanks in part to a steamy romance with Kat Slater (played by Jessie Wallace). Now, 11 years on from his last stint, the GP is set for a dramatic reunion with his dad this summer as Patrick and Yolande prepare to tie the knot. Anthony last appeared in Eastenders in 2014 when he rushed to his father's side when Patrick suffered a stroke. Since then, he has led a life away from Walford but in upcoming scenes viewers will see he is invited to his father's impending nuptials and decides to return for the occasion. In a post on the official Eastenders Instagram account, the long running soap teased the visit to Walford comes at a significant moment for Patrick, which means Anthony stays longer than he originally intended. In a statement, executive producer Ben Wadey said: 'It's great to welcome Nicholas back to the EastEnders family to reunite Patrick with his son. 'But Anthony's plan for a brief return to surprise his father ends up with him staying longer than he expected when he uncovers what has been going on in the Trueman household.' Nicholas who will reprise the iconic role added: 'It is an unexpected treat to return to EastEnders and I'm full of gratitude to get the opportunity to revisit the character of Anthony. 'It's wonderful to work with Rudolph Walker again - he's such a big part of my journey as an actor and I loved filming my first scenes with him after so long. 'I'm excited to see what the passage of time has done to Anthony and explore his relationship with Patrick at this stage in their lives.' Fans took to the comment section to share their excitement for the new return and penned: 'Bring him back for longer. He was a good actor and good for the show.' 'Fantastic news. I'm loving this new era' 'OMG!!!!!! I can't wait for this he's aged like fine wine'; 'Wow, this is now getting so good'. MailOnline has contacted Eastenders representatives for comment The return of Dr. Trueman comes hot on the heels of other major soap comebacks. Michelle Ryan recently reprised her role as Zoe Slater after two decades away, and Jake Wood is set to return as Max Branning in explosive future scenes. The British actor, 52, who last appeared on screen in February 2021, said he is 'over the moon to be coming home to Walford'. He said: 'I'm over the moon to be coming home to Walford. Max has got lots of unresolved drama with many characters, so I'm sure he'll be busy. 'I'm excited to see what he's been up to, and what is next for the character, but if his last 15 years in the Square are anything to go by, I'm sure there will be plenty of chaos.' Max is reportedly set to return to the BBC soap in autumn, before making a permanent return later in the year. During his first stint on the soap, Jake became a fan favourite amongst viewers, with his character Max being at the heart of several huge storylines. The 2007 Christmas Day episode where it was revealed that Max had an affair with his daughter-in-law Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) has become known as one of the most chaotic festive specials ever. Michelle, 40, best known for her iconic 'You ain't my mother!' moment, made her first appearance in June, after her return was kept under wraps. On the return the episode hadn't been released on BBC iPlayer at 6am that morning, meaning all viewers had to tune into the evening broadcast, where Zoe's return was unveiled.

Mum lied about being my sister until I was 11 then stabbed me in heart with knife – it's like something from EastEnders
Keiley has vowed never to speak to her mum again and wants a completely fresh start in life 'HELL BROKE LOOSE' Mum lied about being my sister until I was 11 then stabbed me in heart with knife – it's like something from EastEnders IN her own words, Keiley Ibrahim's life has been like something from EastEnders. Until she was 11, she did not know that Kat Goodfellow, the woman she saw as her fun older sister, was in fact her mum. 4 Keiley Ibrahim, 34, has revealed how her life mother pretended to be her older sister before eventually turning on her Credit: Simon Jones 4 Keiley's mother Kat (right) viciously turned on her and stabbed her with a knife, an attack she was later jailed for Credit: Simon Jones And years later, when she tried to bond with her on Mother's Day, Kat stabbed her in the heart with a kitchen knife, leaving her in a coma. Keiley, 34, says: 'I still find it strange to say I survived being stabbed in the heart by my own mother, who lied to me for years, saying she was my sister. 'Until I was about 11, I believed my nan was my mum. "I discovered the truth one night when me and Nan had a row and she screamed, 'I'm not your mum, Kat is'.' Kat had got pregnant at 14, so Keiley's nan said she would bring the baby up together with her other nine children. After Keiley discovered the truth, she would go and stay with Kat, a nightclub dancer in London, eventually moving from Southend to be close to her. But in an exclusive interview, she said: 'She just wasn't fit for motherhood, despite me wanting her to be. She never acted like a mum. 'We didn't have that bond. Our relationship grew toxic. She drank too much and picked fights with strangers and family alike. 'But she was my mum. After I had my little girl, who is now ten, I wanted her to be a grandmother, too.' YouTuber found guilty of wife's murder in shocking Bradford attack 'All hell broke loose' In March 2023, Keiley's grandad died. She says: 'We were both devastated. "After the funeral, my boyfriend at the time and I returned to Mum's house to help her decorate. 'But she started drinking. She was a violent alcoholic.' When Keiley gave her flowers and a card on Mother's Day, two days after the funeral, Kat was furious that her daughter had not also given her a bottle of wine. She just wasn't fit for motherhood, despite me wanting her to be. I'll never speak to her again. I was better off with Nan as my mum Keiley, who worked as a silver service waitress, says: 'All hell broke loose. She was upset, drunk, picking for a fight. 'My boyfriend and I locked ourselves in the bedroom, but she kept screaming. 'He went to try and talk. She turned on him, then me. She stormed off to the kitchen, came back and grabbed me and then I thought she hit my chest.' Keiley breaks down in tears as she recalls: 'After the thud, I realised it really hurt. 'I looked down, blood poured from my chest and mouth and I remember saying, 'Mum, you've stabbed me'. I got out of the house and collapsed in the street. "I remember a neighbour calling 999.' 4 Keiley is now happily married to husband Ozay, who helped her to turn her lifea round Credit: Instagram/@sobriety_oz 4 Keiley says she is finally living a peaceful life, having put the traumatic incident behind her Credit: Simon Jones In fact, Keiley had been stabbed with a 6in knife, puncturing her heart valve and the sac around her heart. She was in a coma for two weeks and told it was a miracle the surgeons had saved her life. Despite everything, Keiley still spoke to Kat, 48, who was sentenced to 15 months, suspended for two years, and told to undergo alcohol treatment. She says: 'She told me she hadn't stabbed me, but I had stabbed myself. It was like another stab in the heart, no sorry from her, no apology. "I felt ashamed to have her as a mother. I went off the rails a bit then. I couldn't work as I was too ill and I'm ashamed to admit I shoplifted some food.' It was only after meeting husband Ozay, 46, a window fitter, that Keiley, who now lives in Reading, turned her life around. She says: 'I don't know if she meant to kill me. I like to think not. I begged everyone to be lenient on her, not to send her to prison, because she is my mum. "But I gave evidence behind a screen because mentally it was too much for me.' Keiley adds: 'I will never speak to her again. I don't need her in my life. I was better off with Nan as my mum. She is now quite old and frail and it is sad for her that all of this has happened. 'I haven't been able to work since the attack. Mentally, I'm not strong enough. But I am getting there with the help of my husband. 'And I am finally living a peaceful life instead of one with more twists and turns than EastEnders. 'I've forgiven Kat for what she has done, because carrying hate only hurts me. But I will never forget what she did.' Last night, Kat said: 'How is this going to benefit Keiley and how is it going to affect me? 'As far as I'm concerned I've been convicted unfairly.'
