On Saturday, Mythri Movie Makers announced the title of actor Pradeep Ranganathan's upcoming film. Titled Dude, the film was tentatively called PR 04. The production house dropped the first look of the actor from the film and announced its release date.
In the first look image, Pradeep sported a rugged look with bruise marks on his face. Sporting an unbuttoned shirt, he posed with a yellow sacred thread tied around his palms as he threw a punch at the camera, hinting at his character in the film.
The film will release on Diwali this year.
Mythri Movie Makers on their official X handle wrote, 'Make way for the 'DUDE', coming to entertain you all BIG TIME #PR04 is #DUDE All set for a MASSIVE DIWALI 2025 RELEASE.'
Dude is helmed by Keerthiswaran, who is marking his directorial debut. He previously assisted filmmaker Parasakthi director Sudha Kongara.
The film also stars Mamitha Baiju in the lead role. R. Sarathkumar, Hridhu Haroon and Rohin also feature in key roles.
Tamil music director Sai Abhyankkar has scored the music of the film.

In March, the makers officially announced the launch of Pradeep Ranganathan's PR 04 as the film hit the shooting floors. It was marked by a pooja ceremony.

'Shooting in progress,' they also confirmed.
Meanwhile, Dude will be Pradeep Ranganathan's fourth film as an actor. He was last seen in the Tamil film Dragon.
Besides, Dude, he also has a romantic-comedy Love Insurance Kompany in the pipeline.

Yasmin Karachiwala opens up about yesteryear actor Helen's transformation at 86: ‘She could barely walk because of her weight'

Pilates coach Yasmin Karachiwala recently opened up about the transformation of yesteryear actor Helen at 86. When asked about her favourite fitness transformation, she mentioned that Helen's was the most satisfying. 'If you had asked me this question four years back, I would have told you about one of my Katrina (Kaif), Alia (Bhatt), Deepika (Padukone) transformations, but my most recent transformation…I don't know if I will call it challenging as much as satisfying…is of Helen's. She is 86 now. I am very close to the Khan family, and every time I used to meet Helen aunty, I would be like…when are you coming to Pilates…because before lockdown, she used to come and do a little bit of Pilates, and after lockdown, she never got the energy to come back. Every time, there was a birthday or Diwali, Eid …or one of the functions, I would meet her…and I would be like…when are you coming back…because I was seeing her movement deteriorating…she was using a stick to walk…it became so embarrassing for her…such that she would see me at parties and cover her face..'I don't want to even see you, darling!'…and I was like…I am not going to ask you this question…you come when you are ready…' recalled Karachiwala. Eventually, Helen came around to restart Pilates with Karachiwala. 'She calls me one day, and she's like I am ready. She came into the studio with a cane, she could barely walk, because of her weight and because of inactivity…her muscles had atrophied…so we started training Helen aunty…cut to four months later…she is not walking with a cane, she can climb stairs, she bends to play with my puppy…so much so that I am like…aunty…don't bend so much….and she is like…'I can!' She jumps on the trampoline. She sits and stands without support. I think that for me it is better than any of the other transformations.' Karachiwala added that with Pilates, Helen 'enjoyed what she did'. 'She kept coming every single day…she would come for class every day unless she was unwell…she kept coming….it's a beautiful form of exercise…that you can make it so gentle for someone who needs it and super challenging for an athlete. That has been my success story,' Karachiwala told hK Vitals podcast on YouTube. Taking a cue from her candid expression about Helen's transformation, we asked an expert about how Pilates can be tailored across age groups. Pilates is a gentle, yet effective workout that strengthens the core, improves flexibility, and muscle control. 'It's slow, controlled movement can improve balance and coordination, keeping us independent as we age,' said Varun Rattan, founder, Evolve Fitness, adding, 'Indeed, it's very satisfying for a coach when the individual's flexibility improves'. According to Rattan, Pilates can be tailored to you even if you're a newcomer to movement or if you are dealing with joint pain. 'As strength and control improve, the exercises can be made more challenging. This might mean increasing repetitions, adding resistance with bands or springs, or trying slightly more complex movements. Over time, many people experience better mobility, less stiffness, and more confidence in everyday movement,' said Rattan. Salman Khan 'Threatened' Tere Naam Co-Star, Made Her Cry: 'Thappad Maarogi Toh...'

Last Updated: Indira Krishnan recalled how Salman Khan pranked her during Tere Naam shoot, leaving her in tears. Actress Indira Krishnan was supposed to slap Salman Khan in Tere Naam. However, the superstar felt that it would be the best time to prank her. As part of his prank, Salman Khan gave a 'threat' to Indira that things would go awry for her if she slapped him. In a recent chat with Galatta India, Indira mentioned that Salman Khan, Sunjay Dutt and Suniel Shetty used to pull pranks on sets. She recalled what went down with Salman during the shoot of Tere Naam. Indira recalled Salman's 'threat' and said he told her, 'Aap thappad maarogi toh phir kuch bhi hosakta hai. Aap dekhlo iska phir kya honewala hai (If you slap me, then anything can happen. You see what is going to happen to her next)." However, since it was part of the script, Indira slapped Salman. Soon, Salman's bodyguard also joined in on the prank and said, 'Ma'am aapne kya kardiya? Press waale aagaye. Aap van mai jaake baith jaao (Ma'am, what have you done? The press people have come. You go and sit in the van)." This left Indira worried. 'When I looked outside, I could see media people there. Although it was common for reporters to come to film sets back then, it did not strike me at that time. They even said, 'Ma'am, you will be banned from the industry. Kya kardiya aapne, thappad maar diya Bhai ko?!' I started crying. Although they eventually revealed that it was a prank, they went on with it for about one hour," the actress mentioned. Indira Krishnan will now be seen in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. Ranbir Kapoor takes on Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi plays Sita, Yash is Ravana, Ravi Dubey becomes Lakshman, and Sunny Deol portrays Hanuman. Supporting cast includes Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet Singh, Kunal Kapoor, Lara Dutta, Arun Govil and Sheeba Chadha. The first part is expected to hit cinemas during Diwali 2026, with the second part set to follow the next year in Diwali 2027. With a budget of around Rs 4000 crore, the project promises a big-screen experience blending traditional storytelling with modern cinematic flair. Rajinikanth Wanted to Marry Sridevi, Planned To Confess Feelings At A Party

Last Updated: Rajinikanth once planned to tell Sridevi he loved her — until a blackout changed everything. The untold story behind the love story. Before ChaalBaaz and all the cinematic magic they created together, there was a quiet love story that never made it to the big screen — or anywhere else. It belonged to Rajinikanth, and it was never told until now. Long before Sridevi married producer Boney Kapoor, Rajinikanth reportedly had feelings for her. They weren't just a popular film pairing — they were a duo that worked in over a dozen films across languages, lighting up screens with natural chemistry. But off-screen, things were more complicated. According to filmmaker K. Balachander, who launched both their careers, Rajinikanth once planned to confess his feelings at Sridevi's housewarming party. He arrived ready to tell her. Then, the lights went out — literally. The house was plunged into darkness. Being superstitious, Rajinikanth took it as a sign to walk away. And he did. Without saying a word. He never brought it up again. Their journey started in 1976 on the set of Moondru Mudichu. Sridevi was just 13, playing Rajinikanth's stepmother. It was her first lead role and his breakout performance in Tamil cinema. Over time, they developed a bond of mutual respect — something deeper than just co-stars. Rajinikanth remained close to her family, especially her mother. Years later, when Rajinikanth fell seriously ill while shooting Rana, Sridevi reportedly fasted and prayed for his recovery. Seven days. Quietly, privately — the same way their story had always been. In 1996, she married someone else. And Rajinikanth never said a word about the love he once carried. Sridevi married producer Boney Kapoor in 1996, and the couple had two daughters — Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor. Janhvi followed her mother's path into acting, while Khushi also recently entered the film industry. Sridevi's sudden passing in February 2018 at the age of 54 shocked the entire nation. She died of accidental drowning in a hotel bathtub in Dubai, where she had travelled for a family wedding. Her death was widely mourned across India, with tributes pouring in from fans, celebrities, and political leaders alike. Rajinikanth, meanwhile, married Latha Rajinikanth in 1981. They have two daughters — Aishwarya Rajinikanth, a filmmaker, and Soundarya Rajinikanth, who works as a producer and graphic designer.
