Rolling Stones 'are working on a new album in London studio and are in talks for a release date' after dropping plans for massive summer tour
The Rolling Stones are reportedly working on a new album and have been in the recording studio since April. Sir Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, both 81, and Ronnie Wood, 78, are believed to have been busy laying down 13 songs in West London's Metropolis Studios. The legendary band are reportedly in discussions over a release date for their 25th studio album. The band's last album, Hackney Diamonds, their first original work in 18 years, went straight to No1 following its release in 2023. A source told The Sun: 'Mick, Keith and Ronnie have been secretly recording their new record with their drummer Steve Jordan. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to Daily Mail's showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'They've got 13 songs they're happy with and they are discussing when they can release it. 'Originally, the plan was for them to bring their huge US tour to the UK and Europe this summer but promoters couldn't get the dates to work.' The publication also revealed that the band have teamed up again with producer Andrew Watt, who worked on Hackney Diamonds. MailOnline have contacted the band's representatives for comment. It was recently revealed that the Rolling Stones will play four UK dates at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as part of a European tour this summer. The legendary rock band haven't played a gig in their home country since 2022, when they wowed audiences at two Hyde Park concerts. Now the Paint It Black hitmakers - who have a combined age of 239 - are to put on a series of spectacular comeback dates in London, as they bring their Hackney Diamonds tour to Europe. The trio stunned American concertgoers with a major run of sold-out shows from Houston to Missouri. An insider said: 'Mick, Keith, and Ronnie can't wait to bring the show to UK audiences. 'They've been planning it for months and are itching to get back out on the road and do what they do best, which is perform. 'All three of them feel so alive when they are in front of a stadium full of fans. It keeps them young. 'They want to show everybody that they have still got it. It is going to be amazing.' An official announcement by the band is expected in the coming weeks, and is to include dates in Barcelona, Rome, Amsterdam, and Paris. It was revealed last month that the Hackney Diamonds Tour eclipsed Taylor Swift's record-breaking Eras Tour in single-night revenue pulling in a staggering £10,345,659 per night. The iconic group banked the most per night from their concerts, according to Pollstar's annual Voice of Live year-end review which looks at the last 12 months' worldwide shows. The rockers proved that legacy acts still reign supreme as the appeal of their classic hits still brings out the crowds six decades after their debut. It was revealed at the start of the year that the legendary rock band's Hackney Diamonds Tour eclipsed Taylor Swift's record-breaking Eras Tour in single-night revenue Fans grabbed up tickets for their 18 shows in record time and although 35-year-old Taylor's 149 global shows shattered box office records becoming the first ever to earn over a billion dollars, the superstar was around £10k a night short of the band. However, the Shake It Off star's finish of £1.74bn was over double that of what previous record holder Elton John with his Farewell Yellow Brick Road bought in. The US singer's takings of £830m in 2024 alone, almost match Sir Elton's entire five-year total. The Stones charged £250 on average per ticket, whereas Swift charged £180. And The Stones took home £235 million in total. Meanwhile, Coldplay, third on the list, took home £6,186,482 per concert on their Music of the Spheres tour.

Noel Edmonds, 76, reveals the weird quirk in his home which is actually an adorable tribute to his 'earth angel' wife Liz Davies, 55
Noel Edmonds has revealed there is a very weird quirk in his New Zealand home, where all his clocks are stopped at 11.06. But it's no mistake, and instead a very sweet tribute to his wife of 16 years. Speaking in his new show Noel Edmonds' Kiwi Adventure, the presenter, 76, revealed 11.06 is actually the time he met his wife Liz Davies, 55. The pair were first introduced in 2006 when she was his make up artist on Deal Or No Deal and they tied the knot three years later. 'Generally speaking, when you round here, see a clock at six minutes past 11, it's not broken,' Noel said. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Speaking in his new show Noel Edmonds' Kiwi Adventure, the presenter, 76, revealed 11.06 is actually the time he met his wife Liz Davies, 55 'That was the time on the sixth of October, 2006, yep, when my earth angel arrived and introduced herself.' Despite two previous failed marriages, and Noel saying he'd never tie the knot again, the television personality said he felt Liz's magnetic energy before they even met. Gushing about Liz, Noel said: 'Liz was sent to me. She is an earth angel, which I know some people will fall about laughing. I knew she was in the room before I turned around. I looked her and went, Oh, thank goodness, there you are, the sustenance of her energy is my lifeblood. I mean, it really is. 'You will never, ever pull us apart, because we are one. To find that in your life is a gift. 'I believe it's a gift from the cosmos. It was an unforgettable moment. So the clocks are there, the time of my life.' In response to her husband's kind words, Liz joked: 'I thought someone has got to look after him. Doing my little bit of care in the community.' ITV dropped a first look at Noel's new life abroad last week after quitting the UK and being replaced on Deal Or No Deal. The TV personality and radio presenter was best known for his stint hosting the Channel 4 game show from 2005 to 2016 when it ended, before its revival with Stephen Mulhern in 2023. ITV dropped a first look at Noel's new life abroad last week after quitting the UK and being replaced on Deal Or No Deal But after more than 50 years on British TV and radio, Noel left the UK in 2018 with his wife Liz to build a new life in New Zealand. They have now opened a hospitality business in the small rural, riverside town of Ngatimoti, which includes a vineyard, coffee cart, general store, restaurant and pub. And ITV has now given viewers a first look at his new reality show Noel Edmonds' Kiwi Adventure, set to launch on June 20 - which sees the presenter literally bare all. First-look images of the programme show Noel stripping down to show off his toned physique, seemingly to enter a kind of plunge pool. Other pictures show Noel and Liz at work on their business, known as River Haven, with one depicting them outside its on-site pub, cheekily named The B***er Inn. With some showing them beaming, and others seeing them in deep, serious conversation, it suggests their entrepreneurial journey has not always been smooth. The couple only bought the land for their business two years ago - so it is only just now entering its second full season of trading. And Noel admits in the first-look trailer: 'New Zealand's a great place to come to. It's not the easiest place to set up a business.' The veteran presenter also confesses at another point in the clip: 'We're haemorrhaging money at the moment.' Not only are they trying to get their existing business up and running, Noel will also strive to build New Zealand's first energy garden in the upcoming show. It is a lot of pressure after moving 11,500 miles away - and the programme will see the couple battle unseasonal weather, bad press and feelings of still being outsiders. It remains to be seen whether they will survive the challenges life down under throws at them.

Fern Britton reveals the brutal way her ex husband Phil Vickery cut contact with her after their 20-year marriage ended
Fern Britton has revealed the brutal way that her ex husband Phil Vickery cut contact with her after their 20-year marriage ended. The television presenter, 67, became divorced from the TV chef, 64, in 2020 after two decades together. The split followed the deaths of Fern's parents, which reportedly caused the pair to realise that they had to 'follow their own paths'. Now in a new interview Fern has said that Phil stopped talking to her after her mum died in 2018. The pair were previously reported to have maintained a 'basic' level of communication after they split. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. But Fern has now revealed she didn't hear another word from her him after her mum passed away. In an interview with Yours magazine, Fern admitted: 'He hasn't spoken to me for six years now. As soon as my mum died, he stopped talking to me.' A representative for Phil has been contacted by MailOnline for comment. The Celebrity Big Brother 2024 contestant insists she tries 'very hard' to not 'bad-mouth' Phil for the sake of their 23-year-old daughter Winnie. Fern shares twin sons Harry and Jack, 31, and daughter Grace, 27, from her first marriage, to Clive Jones, and daughter Winnie with ex Phil. She said: 'Winnie adores him. I'm not going to bad-mouth him in front of her; at least, I try very hard not to. 'I was the child of divorced parents and my mum never bad-mouthed my father.' Earlier this week Fern candidly reflected on a experiencing a 'catalogue of difficulty' in the past few years - amid her jaw-dropping five stone weight loss. The star has faced emotional turmoil throughout her life, from her divorce from Phil and a terrifying stalker ordeal. Sharing her favourite home comforts - being with her cats Dr Iain Mackerel and Barbar in Cornwall - Fern emotionally touched on her past difficulties. She told The Sunday Times: 'When I'm not feeling well, one of my cats will always sit on my bed with me. They take it in turns, like a shift pattern. 'This has been particularly comforting in recent years because I've had a catalogue of difficult things to face, from getting my home together here in Cornwall to discovering that I had a stalker.' She recently admitted that while she does get 'lonely', she is still not looking for love five years on from her split. She told Woman & Home: 'I'm not looking for love - I'm still a bit too wary of losing my liberty. 'There's nobody to run something past but, on the other hand, I think back to running things past people and it never really worked out, so why don't I just make my own decision? Then I'm the only person who can go, 'I f***ed up there.' Last year, Fern's stalker was handed a ten-year restraining order and 150 hours of unpaid work after he admitted harassing the TV presenter. James Haviland, 63, of Great Oaks Chase, Chineham, Hampshire, pleaded guilty to stalking the former This Morning presenter without causing fear, alarm or distress in a two year crusade. The court heard Haviland began his 'prolonged campaign' in 2021 when started sending the mother-of-four, 66, cards and flowers. On three occasions the married father made the four-hour drive from his Hampshire home to the village of Padstow more than 200 miles away where the former This Morning presenter has gone on holiday as a child. As part of his oppressive behaviour, he even rented the holiday cottage which the star owns. In 2020, the Celebrity Big Brother star moved 270 miles from her home in Buckinghamshire to the Southwest coast of England after she split with Phil. The presenter said it had helped her heal after they split following 20 years of marriage, and her parents passing away. In recent months, Fern has continued to showcase her incredible five stone weight loss. In a recent Instagram post, the presenter looked effortlessly chic in a plaid blazer and trousers while resting her hand on her slender waist. Fern recently revealed the turning point behind her dramatic weight loss in an interview with Woman&Home magazine. The presenter reflected on the powerful moment she decided to take back control of her health. She told the publication: 'People often wonder when you lose lots of weight whether you've done it naturally. 'And I can look at you and say, 'Yes, I have'.' 'I had my shoulder replacement 18 months ago, and two-and-a-half years ago, when I saw the surgeon, he said, 'I'm going to totally replace your shoulder, I'll see you in a year.' 'I thought, 'I need to get my life back on track. I need to stop smoking, stop drinking, get eating under control and stop lying in bed feeling sorry for myself'. 'So I started the Couch to 5k, took about 80 per cent of the sugar out of my life and started to think about what I was eating, which I had never done before.' Fern became a household name alongside Phillip Schofield from 1999 to 2009, when she was replaced by Holly. She reportedly blames Phil for her This Morning exit and isn't afraid to speak out in the CBB house. It was claimed at the time of Fern's This Morning exit she felt 'undervalued by ITV' and that she was 'living in Phil's shadow'. It was also reported she was being paid £250,000 a year less than Phil and that he was earning three times her salary when they were fronting Mr and Mrs together from 2008 to 2010. Phil is said to have banked £45,000 an hour while Fern earned just £15,000. However, Fern denied she left ITV because of her salary and upon her departure she mentioned the whole This Morning team rather than just Phillip. Four years after her departure, Phillip admitted he and Fern no longer spoke.
