Heavy rain, thunderstorms expected in NEPA for Monday

Yahoo30-03-2025

(WBRE/WYOU) — A big, complex storm system is expected to impact our weather and could do so through Monday.
Clouds are expected to hang around Sunday night with a few showers developing too. It is projected to be mild and in the mid-50s.
On Monday, a stronger cold front could move across the region with more showers and the chance of thunderstorms. The main threat will be heavier rain.
If the storms can become strong, gusty winds to 60 miles per hour are likely. Highs could also get near 70°.
Cooler air may follow on Tuesday with highs possibly in the upper 40s.

The next storm system could approach in the second half of the week. The best chance of showers on Wednesday will be later in the day. Wednesday's highs will be in the low 50s.
Then, the rain has the potential to stick around for Thursday and Friday. Thursday will warm to near 70°, and Friday's temperatures will get into the 60s.
As we head into the weekend, we're still tracking a chance for showers both days, and highs could drop into the mid-50s.
If you are in the areas anticipated to be impacted by the severe thunderstorms, the NWS says to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

After some early morning showers Tuesday, we are free and clear for awhile. You can get out and mow the grass later today. Tuesday, June 10 forecast: Warm & sunny for a few days

It was a beautiful day on Monday and the weather will cooperate for us again today! Temperatures will comfortably rise to the low to mid-80s this afternoon under sunny skies. Winds will be light from the west-northwest around 5 to 10 mph. Humidity levels today will be low, but may creep up again on Wednesday. Download our KOLR 10 weather app Tonight will be an ideal evening if you're going out. Temperatures will slowly slide from the 80s to the upper 60s by 10 PM. We'll find ourselves in the low 60s on Wednesday morning with a light south breeze. Temperatures will be warmer on Wednesday afternoon, reaching the mid to upper 80s. The humidity may return slightly on Wednesday, but not oppressively. Rain chances and cloud cover will creep back in from the southwest as a strung-out storm slowly makes its way out of Texas and through the region. The storm system may not organize until late Thursday before producing scattered rain, but a few showers are possible during the day. Rain is more likely on Friday with scattered showers and storms returning. The slow-moving storm will likely be close enough through the weekend to generate a daily chance for scattered showers and storms. Locally heavy rain amounts and lightning will be concerns, but severe weather is not expected at this time. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
