Yahoo30-03-2025

(WBRE/WYOU) — A big, complex storm system is expected to impact our weather and could do so through Monday.
Clouds are expected to hang around Sunday night with a few showers developing too. It is projected to be mild and in the mid-50s.
On Monday, a stronger cold front could move across the region with more showers and the chance of thunderstorms. The main threat will be heavier rain.
If the storms can become strong, gusty winds to 60 miles per hour are likely. Highs could also get near 70°.
Cooler air may follow on Tuesday with highs possibly in the upper 40s.

The next storm system could approach in the second half of the week. The best chance of showers on Wednesday will be later in the day. Wednesday's highs will be in the low 50s.
Then, the rain has the potential to stick around for Thursday and Friday. Thursday will warm to near 70°, and Friday's temperatures will get into the 60s.
As we head into the weekend, we're still tracking a chance for showers both days, and highs could drop into the mid-50s.
If you are in the areas anticipated to be impacted by the severe thunderstorms, the NWS says to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

Storm Team 3: Weather Aware Today, rain possible all week

Let's have a fabulous Monday! The active pattern we saw over the weekend continues today to kick off this new work week. Today will have a very similar setup to what we saw for both weekend days: plenty of dry time with strong storms once they get going. Isolated stronger storms are possible through the morning hours – we've already been picking up a few on Vipir Radar. More numerous storms are likely this afternoon and evening: main timing will be from 12 pm through late this evening. Scattered severe storms will be possible with our main impact of strong, damaging winds (40 mph or greater) and torrential rain. Heavy rain could lead to localized street flooding. Rain chance will gradually taper off overnight with only a few showers lingering into early Tuesday morning. Rain chances remain likely for our Tuesday tomorrow, with isolated severe storms possible. Our main impacts remain the same: strong gusty wind and torrential rain. A cold front will stall out across the southeast and will continue to drive in ways of heavy rain and thunderstorms each day for the rest of the week. It will start to weaken and lose its energy by Wednesday – this is will help decrease our coverage risk of severe storms. Medium risk today, low risk tomorrow to a general t-storm risk Wednesday. By the end of the week, we will see our pattern return to typical summertime sea breeze storms in the afternoon. Sea breeze storms can still pack a punch, but the overall coverage of severe storms will drop off by Wednesday. Temperatures will start the week seasonably hot in the upper 80s and start to climb back into the lower 90s towards the end of the week. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Portland temps in the 90s on Monday, cooler on the Oregon Coast

PORTLAND, Ore. () — A daily high temperature record was set in Portland on Sunday as a KOIN 6 Weather Alert remains in place through Monday. Expect wall-to-wall sunshine from the coast to the Cascades, with a few passing high clouds. LIST: Portland interactive fountains open for summer The central Oregon coast could see some fog and low clouds early, but even those will burn off in the morning. Highs will stay cool along the coastline in the mid to upper 60s. It'll be a great place to find some relief from the heat building around the valley this afternoon. Temperature in the Portland Metro Area should top out in the lower-to-mid 90s. The record for June 8 is 95 degrees, set back in 1955. A cooling trend is on tap later in the week when temperatures will cool back into the 70s by Wednesday and remain there through Friday. There is no significant rainfall in sight for the next 7 days, so the dry weather will continue. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
