WNBA All-Star 2025: Live updates, highlights as Caitlin Clark and Napheesa Collier's teams face off
Six players will make their All-Star debuts this year, including 2025 No. 1 pick Paige Bueckers, Gabby Williams, Kayla Thornton, Brittney Sykes, and Mystics rookies Kiki Iriafen and Sonia Citron.
The night marks a second chapter in the weekend's events, fresh off Friday night's 3-point and skills contests, won by the Liberty's Sabrina Ionescu and Natasha Cloud, respectively. The two were awarded prizes of $62,575 (Ionescu) and $57,575 (Cloud) for their wins, and Ionescu announced she'd split her prize with rookie Citron, who competed alongside her in the contest:
This year's All-Star game will feature four special rules, including a 4-point shot, with areas for those shots designated with four circles (two on each side of the court) located 28 feet from the rim.
Other special rules include live substitutions (one player substitution allowed per possession), a 20-second shot clock and the elimination of free throws until the final two minutes of the fourth quarter. Instead of free throws, players who are fouled will instead be awarded the maximum number of points for the number of free throws they would have attempted given the foul.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Napheesa Collier scored a record 36 points to help her team beat Team Clark 151-131 in the WNBA All-Star Game that was devoid of defence and full of four-point shots. This record offensive effort came a year after the league's annual exhibition game was a competitive contest that pitted the U.S Olympic team against WNBA All-Stars. The game capped off a weekend where negotiations for a new collective bargaining agreement took centrestage. Players wore warm-up shirts before the game that said 'Pay us what you owe us.' Captain Caitlin Clark was unable to play for her team because of a groin injury she suffered earlier this week.
