Pakistan conducts successful training launch of Fatah missile
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) saidin a press release that launch was aimed at ensuring the operational readiness of troops and validating key technical parameters, including the missile's advanced navigation system and enhanced accuracy.
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and the Chief of Army Staff extended their congratulations to the participating troops, scientists, and engineers.
They expressed complete confidence in the operational preparedness and technical proficiency of Pakistan Army to thwart any aggression against the territorial integrity of Pakistan.
The training launch was witnessed by senior officers of Pakistan Army, as well as officers, scientists and engineers from Pakistan's strategic organizations.
The test launch comes amid tensions between Pakistan and India in the wake of a deadly attack in occupied Kashmir's Pahalgam area.
On Saturday, Pakistan conducted a successful training launch of the Abdali Weapon System, a surface-to-surface missile with a range of 450 kilometers, the military's media wing said.

50 militants killed along Afghan border
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Army has killed a total of 50 Indian-sponsored militants in a four-day counterterrorism operation in the Sambaza area of Zhob District, Balochistan. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the latest engagement took place on the night of August 10–11, when security forces conducted a deliberate sanitisation operation in areas surrounding Sambaza, along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. During the operation, three more militants were eliminated, while weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from their possession. These follow-up actions came after earlier successful engagements during August 7–9, in which 47 militants were killed in the same general area. The ISPR reaffirmed that security forces remain committed to defending the country's frontiers and foiling any attempts to undermine peace, stability, and progress in Pakistan. Security forces kill 3 more Indian-sponsored terrorists in Zhob: ISPR
The security forces killed three more Indian-sponsored terrorists in Zhob district along Pakistan-Afghanistan Border, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday. The press release said that on night of August 10 and August 11, a deliberate sanitisation operation was conducted in surrounding areas of Sambaza, Zhob along Pakistan-Afghanistan Border. The military's media wing said weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the khawarij. Since the anti infiltration operation, 50 terrorists have been killed. 'The security forces remain committed to secure the nation's frontiers and thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Pakistan,' the ISPR said. In May, DG ISPR Lt General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry accused the 'Afghan gentry' of giving refuge to terrorists in lieu of money received from the Indian government. Speaking to over 2,500 students from different universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), who held a special sitting with him, he urged Afghanistan not to play into the hands of India.

Photo: Express Listen to article The tribal elders in South Waziristan have reaffirmed their resolve to stand shoulder to shoulder with the security forces until elimination of the menace of terror. A significant and historic grand jirga of the Mehsud and Burki tribal elders was held in the Spinkai Raghzai area of South Waziristan on Sunday. The Frontier Corps (FC) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (South) inspector general attended the tribal meeting as the chief guest. During the jirga, the tribal elders paid rich tribute to the Pakistan Army and the FC for their sacrifices in ensuring lasting peace. They also reaffirmed their resolve to stand shoulder to shoulder with the security forces until the complete elimination of the menace of Khawarij. "Khawarij" is a term used to refer to terrorists belonging to outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). The chief guest acknowledged the unparalleled sacrifices of the tribal people in the fight against the TTP. He also highlighted the importance of the elders' role in keeping the younger generation away from the negative propaganda of anti-state elements. He also appreciated the services of local individuals who have excelled in various fields, describing their dedication, hard work, and positive contributions as role models for the region. On the occasion, the IG FC assured the Mehsud tribes that work on the Gurbaz to Mangrotai Road project would begin soon. The tribal elders lauded the efforts of the Pakistan Army and the FC for promoting development projects and advancing girls' education.
