Mark Hamill Has The Most Bizarre ‘The Last Jedi' Story Ever

The Last Jedi There's a lot of documentation about how dismissive Harrison Ford is of his time working on Star Wars (often in very funny ways), but have you ever heard Mark Hamill talk about it? It can go some…very weird places. Recently, Hamill talked a lot about his experience on The Last Jedi, specifically, on Bullseye on YouTube. He cleared the air about some issues, saying the rumor that he had some sort of problem with Rian Johnson and his vision for Luke was false. 'Nothing could be further from the truth,' and thatJohnson is 'one of the most gifted directors' he's ever worked with. Good to hear! But things get weird when Mark Hamill describes a story he invented in his own mind about why he thought Luke was so bitter about the Force and being a Jedi, hence the lightsaber toss at the start, his general demeanor toward training Rey and getting involved again in another galactic conflict. Here's the 'head cannon' he made for Luke's motivation: Uhh, what? Okayyy. I mean, not sure what to make of that. Not even sure it really makes sense. You hate the Jedi and the Force because…you stored your lightsaber improperly, and your kid got to it? Also, this happens after he gives up being a Jedi because of love? I mean, it's your headcanon man, but that's pretty weird! The Last Jedi I've seen this story passed around, and some are saying that it's still better than the canon reveal that Luke almost killed his own nephew because he saw him as a powerful force-user turning to the dark side. That plot point may have its issues, but no, I'm not going to say it's worse than the idea of Luke's toddler accidentally being skewered with his lightsaber. Put it in a lockbox, Luke! Safety first! The Last Jedi remains the most controversial piece of Star Wars media ever. I'd argue the recent series The Acolyte got close, but that's a low-profile offering than the new trilogy movie. Sentiment has really turned against that whole trilogy altogether at this point. Well, circling back, you can come up with all the motivations you want as an actor, but this one is a real headscratcher, I gotta say. Follow me on Twitter, YouTube, Bluesky and Instagram. So, ‘Squid Game' Season 4? Don't Rule It Out

Squid Game Squid Game has ended with its somewhat odd, six-episode season that essentially operates as the other half of season 2, just with a season 3 badge. It is a pretty conclusive end to the current arc, but this is the modern streaming era. This is Netflix. This is a showrunner that is getting paid millions upon millions to make this series. So no, we can't rule out a season 4 of Squid Game. This is not just random speculation, but it comes from creator Hwang Dong-hyuk himself in a recent interview with EW. It's mainly about another season that's a prequel, which wouldn't be labeled season 4, I'm guessing, but he also speaks to that as well. Here's his pitch for that: So, that's an intermission between seasons 1 and 2, and if that did end up existing, a series without an actual Squid Game being played, it would probably just be called 'Squid Game: Gi-hun" or something like that. The advantage there would be that it would bring back some of its cast. You also might think it could do something like provide out-of-game backstories for some of season 2 and 3's players. But a sequel? Season 4? Not ruled out either: Squid Game This is not a question of whether or not Netflix would agree to this. They would in a second. Squid Game season 1 remains the most-watched show in Netflix history. Season 2 didn't get that high, but it's still in the top 5. Season 3 could go up or down, we'll see. But it will be high, and Netflix, of course, is going to want any more Squid Game projects they can get their hands on, especially if the original creator is willing to return, as he's the key to the whole idea. Regardless, if this does manifest, it will almost certainly be years until we see something new from Squid Game. It's taken us almost four years to get through three seasons (sort of two), and these ideas are still nebulous and not in production. But like Hwang, we shouldn't rule it out. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. MrBeast obliged to the fans who were asking him to create the viral "Hood MrBeast meme," and the success of the TikTok has shattered his own social media record, becoming his most-liked video on the platform. A spokesperson for MrBeast declined to comment to Newsweek on this article. Why It Matters MrBeast—whose real name is James "Jimmy" Donaldson—is one of the most popular content creators in the world, with 409 million subscribers on YouTube. Forbes recently named him the top content creator in the world, reporting earnings of $85 million. In 2022, Forbes reported the 27-year-old could become the world's "first YouTuber billionaire" with and a net worth of $500 million. What To Know The TikTok has been liked 26.4 million times as of reporting and viewed 287.3 million times. The "Hood MrBeast" or "MrLean" meme trend refers to a series of artificial intelligence (AI) and photoshop edits of MrBeast where he is depicted as a "hood," guy, often seen with designer clothes, a low taper fade haircut and a goatee. The meme became popular last month, with the nickname "MrLean" being a reference to the drug "Lean." The trend is reminiscent of the MrBeast kid deepfakes meme trend, which was popular in 2023. In the TikTok, which was posted last month, MrBeast responds to a comment that asked: "PLEASE GIVE US A MRBEAST HOOD EDIT," and then shows MrBeast walking away with the video transitioning to him sitting on a private jet, with a cap and black hoodie, a stack of money on his lap and a bottle of Voss water. The video then shows MrBeast holding more stacks of cash, and the tune of "Shake It To the Max (FLY)" by Moliy. The video is captioned "You can call me MrLean now." MrBeast followed this TikTok up with another take on the trend which features the content creator, Kai Cenat, who ranks at number 28 on the Forbes list of top content creators. That video currently has 171.2 million views and 18.8 million likes on TikTok. He then addressed this in a post on X, formerly Twitter, and wrote, "People on Tik Tok asked me to be more hood so I did and it became my most liked tik tok ever so here I am again. Idk what's going on." The post has been viewed 24.1 million times as of reporting. MrBeast began his content creation career in 2012 by posting gaming videos. Five years later, he went viral for uploading a nearly 24-hour-long clip of himself titled, "I Counted To 100,000!" Over time, his content has evolved into grand-scale giveaways and extreme challenges—with recent uploads including videos such as "Last to Leave Their Circle Wins $500,000" and "I Spent 100 Hours Inside the Pyramids." His content on YouTube has a massive online viewership, with his video "Squid Game In Real Life," having been viewed over 814 million times.
