Jeremy Clarkson ruffles feathers as he brazenly reveals advert that was 'banned'
Jeremy Clarkson has slammed authorities for deciding to 'ban' his new big-budget beer advert on TV and radio.
The Clarkson's Farm star hired a 34-strong choir of farmers to sing a classic opera tune about his Diddly Squat Farm's Hawkstone lager.
At the beginning of his advert, the 65-year-old can be heard saying: 'It's difficult to put into the spoken word how hard it is to make Hawkstone's lager. So instead, I've put it into a song for some farmers to sing.'
The farmers then begin a rendition of the opera tune, while tweaking the words to say 'f*** me it's good'.
It then ends with the Amazon Prime Video star taking a sip of his pint in the middle of the choir before saying: 'Hawkstone. It is f*****g good.'
After learning that the advert is 'not compliant' with broadcasting regulations, the former Top Gear presenter hit out at the advertising authorities for being the 'fun police'.
He has also described the advert as 'the best thing I've ever made, apart from a Shepherd's pie in 1988'.
Speaking to The Sun, he said: 'It's a cock-up, as usual. I've made my biggest, most heartfelt, and frankly, most expensive advert ever, and it's been banned.
'The fun police in their beige offices have decided that the public can't be trusted to watch it.

Who would have thought it? Apparently getting a choir to sing the words 'f*** me it's good' over and over in an advert isn't allowed to be broadcast on live television?
It's a shocker for me certainly, but I think former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson is fully aware of what he is doing.
It appears that the 65-year-old knows exactly how he wants to market himself and his Diddly Squat brand.
In December 2021, he also pulled a similar trick where he bemoaned not being able to advertise Hawkstone lager for again saying the same phrase 'f*** me that's good'.
It's a, debatably, clever marketing tactic, but personally I think he'd be better off leaving the swearing out of it.
'It's been kicked off the telly, silenced on the radio, and barred from the cinema.
'Apparently, it's 'not compliant'. With what, I have no idea. Common sense?'

The 65-year-old discussed selling his £85,000 Lamborghini tractor that featured in Clarkson's Farm season four.
After the TV personality was spotted at an auction selling the agricultural machine, one X user @headbug_inc asked: 'You had to let the beast go? No way?! Dude, what happened?' More Trending
Clarkson replied: 'I'm starting to understand that when it comes to farming, you have to be sensible. Took a big financial hit on that tractor as well.'
The Who Wants to Be A Millionaire host first launched Hawkstone back in 2021.
The beer has since become the fastest-growing beer brand in the UK.

Father-son duo are first to ever win BBC gameshow's full jackpot
A father and son team have become the first contestants to win the full £10,000 jackpot on the game show The Hit List. More than 250 pairs of contestants have attempted to win the top prize on the BBC One show. But ahead of series eight launching on Saturday night, someone has finally done it. The Hit List sees contestants hear excerpts of music and they have to name the song and the artist who sang it. In the show's endgame, the prize money starts to drop after five seconds of music so the longer contestants take to answer, the less money they make. Tom, an events and marketing coordinator, said: 'We've been watching The Hit List for years, this was our third time applying to be on the show, and it was third time lucky. 'We always knew that we'd go on together, as you need knowledge of music spanning all decades. 'The two teams we were competing with were incredible, I couldn't believe when we go through to the final round, the adrenaline was immense and obviously over the moon with the result.' The show, which began in 2019, is hosted by husband and wife presenting duo, Rochelle Humes and Marvin Humes. Marvin said: 'I was starting to believe that it couldn't be done, but they came and proved us wrong, after seven years I've seen so many attempts. 'Tom and Paul were so in sync from the start I knew we were on to something special.' This comes after Rochelle and Marvin opened up about working together on The Hit List, explaining how they're able to avoid any 'domestics' and quarrels while filming the game show together. BBC Line of Duty star icon announces massive career change
Vicky McClure, who plays Detective Inspector Kate Fleming on the popular BBC show, has revealed that she will be shifting away from acting to pursue music. On Instagram, it was confirmed that Vicky had collaborated with Sheffield-based band Reverend and the Makers on the group's new single, Haircut.
