MP CM discusses 3.0 GW solar project with Grew Energy CEO in Dubai
The discussions, as detailed in a post by the MP Chief Minister's Office on X, centred on the 3.0 gigawatt solar cell project in the state's Narmadapuram district, which is expected to create over 700 jobs and position Madhya Pradesh as a leader in the sustainable energy sector.
The meeting, part of Yadav's ongoing tour from July 13 to 19, aimed to attract significant foreign investment, with a particular emphasis on renewable energy and industrial growth.
"Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, during his Dubai visit, held a meeting with Mr. Vinay Thadani, CEO and Director of Grew Energy Private Limited, and the delegation regarding proposed investments in Madhya Pradesh," the MP Chief Minister's Office stated in a post on X.
"The meeting focused on the special industrial assistance provided by the state government for the 3.0 gigawatt solar cell project to be established in Narmadapuram district. It is noteworthy that this project will create over 700 employment opportunities and will prove to be a significant initiative in establishing Madhya Pradesh as a leading state in the sustainable energy sector," it added.
As per Thadani, his company had already committed ₹3,000 crore to Madhya Pradesh, with commercial operations slated to begin in March 2026 and further expressed optimism about further expansion that is expected to go up to ₹10,000 crores.
"The meeting with the CM was very energetic. We have already invested in Madhya Pradesh, worth approximately ₹3,000 crore, and are currently discussing the commercial date, scheduled for March. Our group chairmen also met with the CM and we discussed our further expansion plans, which will go up to ₹10,000 crores in the upcoming years, in which investment in the renewable sector, investment in textiles plus flexible packaging, and investment in all sectors where our users are already present," Thadani stated.
He praised Madhya Pradesh's administrative support and central location, saying, "Madhya Pradesh has been very cooperative in all forms, whether it is administrative or vision-wise... and secondly, geographically, it is located in the centre of the country, which helps all industry."
Yadav's official visit to Dubai in the UAE and to Spain is scheduled from July 13 to July 19. The aim of his visit is to bring global investment to Madhya Pradesh, encourage technology sharing, and create new job opportunities under the umbrella of "Global Dialogue 2025".

Yadav noted that sectors such as textiles, pharmaceuticals, agro-processing, and tourism offer immense investment opportunities. The government is actively working to expand the IT sector to smaller cities. Each sector has dedicated policies and support structures. Yadav announced that over 3 lakh solar pumps will be distributed to farmers to promote energy self-reliance—reducing irrigation dependence on electricity, cutting power bills, and advancing green energy in the state. The CM said Madhya Pradesh has surpassed even Punjab in wheat production. The govt is promoting agro-based industries through the development of food processing units and agri-clusters, boosting both farmer income and industrial growth. He shared that the state is integrating small towns into the digital and tech mainstream by facilitating the establishment of IT industries, helping local youth find employment within their hometowns and preventing migration. Bhopal, July 19 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav chaired a high-level round-table meeting in Barcelona with representatives of leading global textile machinery companies on the third day of his visit to Spain. The meeting was organised with the objective of establishing Madhya Pradesh as a hub for textile machinery manufacturing and promoting partnerships with European technology providers. The Chief Minister highlighted the investment-friendly environment and investor-centric policies in Madhya Pradesh's textile sector. He stated that Madhya Pradesh is a leading state in India in attracting textile investments. Yadav highlighted the state's leadership in attracting textile sector investments and outlined dedicated infrastructure such as textile parks, Special Economic Zones (SEZs), and targeted incentive schemes for investors. He stressed that the state government understands investor expectations and tailor policies and facilities accordingly to attract long-term partnerships, according to official sources. 'Madhya Pradesh is also ideal for textile machinery manufacturing. The state dispensation is committed to promoting technology transfer and sustainable production in partnership with global companies,' Yadav said. Meta apologises, fixes Kannada translation glitch after Siddaramaiah raises concern
BENGALURU: A day after the Chief Minister's Office raised concern over auto translation from Kannada to English, Meta (Previously Facebook) acknowledged the glitch, apologised, and claimed to have fixed the issue. The CM had stated that the faulty auto-translation of Kannada content on Meta platforms is distorting facts and misleading users. Siddaramaiah in his 'X' handle stated that on July 15, he paid his respects to the mortal remains of the late B Saroja Devi, a moment of deep personal and public sorrow. A post about this was shared in Kannada from the official Facebook page of Chief Minister of Karnataka. 'Unfortunately, some people saw a wrong English translation of that post by default on their Facebook feed. The post was written only in Kannada. No English version was posted, and no auto-translation was added or requested from our side,' he stated. Siddaramaiah pointed out that Facebook's translation feature shows up on user feeds based on their settings, and content creators have no way to disable or control the auto-translation feature on viewers feed. 'In many cases, Facebook shows auto-translated versions of posts by default in user feeds. The original Kannada post remains unchanged and can be viewed by selecting 'See original' option'' he added. The CM also added that Meta/Facebook has often previously faced similar issues globally for such auto-translation errors, including in Myanmar (2018), Palestine (2017), and most recently in Malaysia (2024) where poor translations led to serious miscommunication and public backlash. The CM said that Facebook has been in operation for nearly two decades and has a vast user base in India, including a large number of Kannada-speaking users. 'Despite this, it is unfortunate that a sound and reliable translation system has not been put in place. We hope this concern is taken seriously.'' he said. The CM also urged people not to spread confusion or misinformation based on an error that did not originate from us. 'It is time Meta puts in place better and more responsible translation systems,' he added.
