Former Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce is fully embracing his retirement era, balancing his new ESPN career with family time and discovering what matters most in his post-NFL journey. The beloved center recently gave Eagles Today an exclusive glimpse into his Mother's Day celebrations and the values he hopes to pass down to his four daughters.

Fresh from a family-filled Mother's Day weekend, Kelce shared details with People magazine while attending the Amazon Upfront event in New York on Monday with brother Travis. The gathering brought together the extended Kelce clan for a celebration in Philadelphia that exemplified the close-knit family bonds Jason has always prioritized.
"We had a whole crew in. We had a great brunch together, a day together," Kelce told Eagles Today. "It's special when we all get to get together. It's hard with everyone's schedules these days, but for all the girls and everybody, it was really a good day."
For the Birds legend, these family moments take on new significance now that he's hung up his midnight green jersey. Without the rigorous demands of NFL training camp looming and game preparation consuming his schedule, Kelce is discovering the joy of uninterrupted family time.
As he continues building his broadcasting career with Monday Night Football and growing the New Heights podcast empire alongside Travis, Kelce finds himself reflecting on the values that shaped his historic career in Philadelphia—values he hopes to instill in his four daughters: Wyatt (5), Elliotte (4), Bennett (2), and baby Finnley "Finn" Anne, who joined the family in March.

"The thing that I would love most to instill in my kids is my mom's work ethic and her dedication and sacrifice," Kelce explained. "Growing up, you don't realize everything your mom is doing. But looking back, she was working full-time while handling all the household responsibilities and making sure we had opportunities to achieve our dreams."
The future Hall of Famer's appreciation for Donna Kelce's example has only deepened with time. "That work ethic and sacrifice made her life amazingly successful," he continued. "Those are the qualities I want my girls to understand and embrace."
Kelce's retirement has allowed him to fully appreciate the family foundation that supported his extraordinary career with the Eagles. The six-time All-Pro center is finding that away from the football field, he can focus on creating the same supportive environment for his growing family.
While fans miss seeing #62 anchoring the offensive line at Lincoln Financial Field, they'll be happy to know Kelce isn't straying far from his Philadelphia roots this summer. "We're going to be down the shore a lot this year, which we're looking forward to," he shared, maintaining the South Jersey summer tradition beloved by so many Eagles fans.

Kelce continues embodying the blue-collar values that made him a Philadelphia icon. His focus on family, hard work, and enjoying life's simpler pleasures resonates with the Eagles faithful who watched him give everything to the franchise for 13 remarkable seasons.

There's a New No. 1 Team in College Football After Latest Poll Released

There's a New No. 1 Team in College Football After Latest Poll Released originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The college football season is weeks away from kicking off, and on Monday, the AP Poll officially released its preseason rankings. Although the now-defending champion Ohio State Buckeyes finished the 2024 season as the No. 1 team, they have already been bumped from the top spot. As revealed in the latest AP Poll rankings, which have been taking place since 1936, the 60 journalists who vote to decide the rankings ended up bumping the Buckeyes to the No. 3 team in the country. This paved the way for a team that Ohio State actually beat last season to supplant them from being the best team in college football. AP Poll Announces New No. 1 College Football Team Although the Buckeyes got the best of them in their College Football Playoff Semifinal matchup, the Texas Longhorns were tabbed as college football's newest No. 1 team. The Longhorns narrowly edged out Penn State in what the AP reported was the closest vote since 1998. In addition to being atop the AP Poll, the Longhorns were also tabbed as the No. 1 team in the Coaches Poll this past week. Why Texas is the No. 1 Team in College Football Despite having a program record 12 players drafted during the 2025 NFL Draft, the Longhorns have been stockpiling on talent over the past few years. Not only is former No. 1 overall recruit, Arch Manning, taking over at quarterback, but he is also joined by a roster flooded with blue-chip recruits. The Longhorns have had a top-six class in each of the past four years, with the 2025 class coming in as the No. 1 class in the country. 2025: No. 1 Class 2024: No. 6 Class 2023: No. 3 Class 2022: No. 5 Class The Longhorns are also coming off back-to-back College Football Playoff appearances, making it to the semifinal round in each of the past two seasons. They also have the luxury of returning 61% of their production on defense from a season ago, indicating they have a chance to field yet another dominant unit. While it'll come down to more than just one player, many believed Manning could have led them to a title last season instead of Ewers, but now that he is at the helm, he will have the chance to do just that. Why Ohio State Isn't the No. 1 Team in College Football Similar to Texas, the Buckeyes sent a ton of players to the NFL, tying a program record with 14. However, while Ohio State ranks higher in returning production at No. 101 to Texas' 103, the biggest question surrounding the Buckeyes is their quarterback situation. With Will Howard off to the NFL, Ryan Day is choosing between redshirt freshman Julian Sayin and redshirt sophomore Lincoln Kienholz. Unlike Manning who started two games and also had a significant role down the stretch for Texas, neither Sayin and Kienholz played any critical snaps last season. Kienholz hasn't attempted a pass since 2023, while Sayin attempted just 12 in mop-up duty last season. Week 1 Clash Between Texas and Ohio State The No. 1 Longhorns will have to defend their ranking quickly into the season as they'll head to Columbus to take on the Buckeyes in Week 1. Both ESPN's "College GameDay," and Fox's "Big Noon Kickoff" will be in attendance for the No. 1 vs. No. 3 matchup. The game itself will kick off at 12:00 p.m. ET and air on story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Aug 11, 2025, where it first appeared.

Travis Hunter's Colorado GPA Draws Attention After Jaguars Debut

Travis Hunter's Colorado GPA Draws Attention After Jaguars Debut originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Following a tremendous college football career, where he ascended to stardom at Colorado on and off the field, two-way star Travis Hunter made his NFL preseason debut on Saturday. The Jacksonville Jaguars, who traded four picks to move up for the No. 2 selection in the 2025 NFL Draft, are seeing their gamble pay off as Hunter defies the odds by playing both ways at the NFL level. He had somewhat of a quiet outing in the Jaguars' 31-25 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, recording just two catches for nine yards, while not registering a stat on defense. While he has a whole career ahead of him, fans took to social media on Monday to reminisce of all that he accomplished this past college football season with notable feats such as winning the Heisman Trophy, winning the Biletnikoff Award (best receiver) and played nearly 1,500 snaps. However, there seemed to be one Hunter factoid that occured off of the field that has caught the eye of many, which is his GPA. Travis Hunter's College GPA Aside from dominating on offense and defense, Hunter was also a superstar in the classroom. "Dude does it all," commented one user. "What can't he do," questioned another. As seen on the program's website, the Psychology major recorded a 4.0 GPA in two of his four semesters in Boulder, while maintaining a cumulative GPA that eclipsed 3.8. In addition to racking up awards for his play on the field, Hunter was also named AcademicAll-American of the Year, as he earned first-team Academic All-America both years at Colorado. Travis Hunter's Growing Pains in NFL Although he was an all-everything in college, Hunter still has some growing pains to endure at the NFL level as indicated in his postgame evaluation by his new head coach Liam Coen. "I think he made a couple good catches on some option routes," Coen said. "He missed the one tackle defensively that I noticed, like that was the only thing that I kind of noticed. In terms of his about his overall play, I'll have to watch the tape on how he operated defensively a little bit more, but I thought offensively he made the right decisions on those option routes. He made a good catch and almost broke out of that one." When Does Travis Hunter Play Next? Although his college teammate and now-Cleveland Browns quarterback, Shedeur Sanders stole the show over the weekend, once Hunter finds his footing it's hard to imagine there will be a bigger story in the NFL. He and the Jags will return to action on Sunday agianst the New Orleans Saints for their second preseason bout. In terms of his regular-season debut, Hunter and Jacksonville open the year on Sunday Sept. 7 against the Carolina story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Aug 11, 2025, where it first appeared.
