Alex Eala recently made history as she had her first WTA Tour finals stint in the Eastbourne Open and made her Wimbledon debut afterwards.
In Eastbourne, Eala fell short against Maya Joint for the crown, while she had first round exits in both singles and doubles tournaments of Wimbledon.
But after achieving major feats in the past few months, including a dream run in the Miami Open last March and reaching her career-high ranking at no. 56 after the Eastbourne Open, the grind does not stop yet for Eala.
According to Eala, she will head to North America for tournaments in Montreal in Canada, Cincinnati in the United States, and Monterrey in Mexico.
After that, she will head to New York for the US Open.
"After that, like I said, we shift to Asia. So, there will be a few around China. I know there's one in Hong Kong in October. And, yeah, around, you know, closer to home. So, if anyone wants to come," Eala said in a meet and greet event organized by Globe.
While she has been competing left and right in major tournaments, Eala said she still dreams of winning her first Grand Slam win.
"There's still a lot for me to achieve, I think. There are a lot of big tournaments lined up, not just the US Open, so I hope to play well there and of course try to get my first Grand Slam win."

Sabrina Ionescu wins WNBA 3-point Contest

Jul 18, 2025; New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu competes in the final round of the three-point contest during the 2025 WNBA All Star Skills Challenge. (Trevor Ruszkowski-Imagn Images/REUTERS) New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu won her second WNBA 3-point Contest on Friday in Indianapolis as part of All-Star weekend festivities. Natasha Cloud made it a clean sweep for the Liberty, as Ionescu's first-year teammate won the skills competition. Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark was set to compete in the 3-point Contest in front of her home fans, but due to her latest groin injury on Tuesday she was forced to drop out of both that and the All-Star Game itself, which will take place Saturday. It would have taken a mammoth night for Clark to win if she had played. Ionescu racked up 30 points in the contest, tied for the second-highest total in its history. In the final round she defeated Allisha Gray of the Atlanta Dream, the 2024 winner. Kelsey Plum of the Los Angeles Sparks placed third, Lexie Hull of the Fever was fourth and Washington Mystics rookie Sonia Citron came in fifth. Ionescu said afterward that she planned to gift half of her $62,575 prize to Citron and donate the other half to her foundation. "I told Sonia that I would give half if I won ... As being like the only rookie, and she was nervous, and I was nervous for her," said Ionescu, who first won the competition in 2023. "Just for participating, that takes a lot of courage to be able to do that as a rookie and what she did, and I was really proud of her." Cloud completed the skills competition obstacle course in 36.4 seconds to beat Erica Wheeler of the Seattle Storm by just 1.1 seconds. Cloud said her prize money would be used as a down payment on a house for her and her girlfriend, New York teammate Isabelle Harrison. The All-Star Game between Team Clark and Team Collier, captained by Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier, is slated for 8:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. --Field Level Media/Reuters

Fever's Caitlin Clark to miss WNBA All-Star Game, 3-point competition

Jul 1, 2025; Caitlin Clark puts on a Commissioner's Cup Champions hat after defeating the Minnesota Lynx at Target Center. (Photo: Jesse Johnson-Imagn Images/REUTERS) Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark has opted out of participating in the WNBA's All-Star festivities while she recovers from a right groin injury. Clark had been named a starter and team captain for Saturday's All-Star Game in Indianapolis after receiving the most fan votes. She also planned to participate in the 3-point contest before issuing her statement on Thursday. "I am incredibly sad and disappointed to say I can't participate in the 3-Point Contest or the All-Star Game. I have to rest my body," Clark said in a statement. "I will still be at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for all the action and I'm looking forward to helping Sandy (Brondello) coach our team to a win." Phoenix Mercury forward Satou Sabally, who was chosen as a starter for Team Clark, pulled out Wednesday due to a ankle injury. WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert selected Washington Mystics guard Brittney Sykes and Atlanta Dream forward Brionna Jones as replacements for Clark and Sabally. Sykes, 31, is averaging 17.1 points per game this season. This will be her first All-Star Game. Jones, 29, is now a four-time All-Star. She is averaging 13.4 points and 7.8 rebounds. Clark, 23, sustained the injury in the final minute of Indiana's 85-77 victory over the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday in Boston. She has missed 10 regular season games this season, 11 if the Commissioner's Cup final is included. Previously, she had never missed a game in her college of pro career. In 13 games, Clark is averaging 16.5 points, 8.8 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game in her second professional season. Sabally, 27, is averaging a career-best 19.1 points per game. She last played on July 3. "Unfortunately, my body still needs more time to recover and I am unable to suit up and play in this weekend's game," Sabally said. "I'm disappointed." --Field Level Media/Reuters
